I’m sorry to keep you waiting for this long, especially considering that I realised that I wrote a post about it some time ago as well… But I don’t want to just waltz in like two month after you sent this ask and say “hey, read this post instead”, so I’ll add some more thoughts!

Gap moe!! But specifically the type of gap moe when a character that seems very stern and antagonistic at first ends up having a huge soft spot for the protagonist, ending up as kind of a pushover, someone who gets bullied by the narrative and a cutie overall. Examples of that would be Levi from SnK or Barok from TGAA; it’s kind of subtle with them, but it’s enough for me to woobify the shit out of them lol

Also it’s probably super obvious because of my horror comic + the kind of spooky twst content we post sometimes, but I really love the “cryptids among us” trope, especially when it’s genuinely creepy and the comedy aspect is a bit unhinged lol When someone gets bad vibes from a character and it turns out that they’re either cursed or not a human at all, or when a character tries to hide his inhuman nature… it’s a pretty broad description and this trope doesn’t work for me all the time, but I hope you understand what I’m talking about!

Hmm, when it turns out that the bad guy is genuinely bad. Like when the story makes you feel bad for feeling sorry for them or humanising them for a moment there. I feel like it doesn’t happen too often, but one example I could give is Eric Cartman lol Maybe jjk Sukuna in a way? I just like the feeling of oh no we shouldn’t relax around this guy, he really is that bad.

I also love subversion of tropes, but only when it doesn’t feel like the authors are patting themselves on the back too much for being original. I don’t know, sometimes it gets annoying lol But I really love when you watch a show, kind of subconsciously expecting a certain outcome, and then something happens that completely switches the narrative, even its tone sometimes. Hunter x Hunter gave me this feeling a lot, and the Boys as well (mostly the first season), for example.

Because of our biases and preferences when it comes to tops, we wouldn’t really headcanon Lilia stimulating his own butt, but I get where you’re coming from. I also think Lilia is very intrigued by sex toys though! So yes, to answer your second question, he would absolutely wreck anyone he’s sleeping with if he comes across a toy that seems like something new and exciting (so any toy lol). And using all of them at once to keep every area overstimulated sounds like a very Lilia thing to do.

The thing with Trey is that when he is enabled, his actions could lead to unexpectedly bizarre circumstances, so I can actually see Jade being amused by what else he could do to Idia.

Also, poor Rook! He has the right to join – he is also in the science club, after all, he could add some of his own freak to this already wild mix! But I guess that would be too much for Idia lol Oh well, at least now Vil is also a victim of these guys’ shenanigans…. I find it funny how Malleus call them both Leech- he stands by calling everyone by their last name, even siblings- wouldn't that be confusing-

Dear Anon, it’s been so long, I hope you are still somewhat excited… because it is a great thing! Malleus absolutely should get paired with the tweels more often – it’s such a fun combination! Malleus should get ALL the duo options!

And yes, he really does call both of them Leech… although I feel like we’ve seen him refer to them by their names a couple of times – even the Shrouds couldn’t make Malleus ditch his habit of calling everyone by their last name, but I guess “left Leech” and “right Leech” doesn’t work as well as “Shroud” and “smaller Shroud” 😭 It’s so funny…!

Another Tweels+Malleus moment that comes to mind is that Malleus and Floyd had to operate a cotton candy stand together (…with Sebek as well!) during the Portfest, and that was pretty funny as well.

As for the ship, I think it has a lot of potential. Be it with one of the tweels or with both of them at the same time, Malleus absolutely is going to get confused by them a lot, but also amused by their mischievous minds. I think they would also remind him of Lilia a little bit, which is always a plus for Malleus.

As for the tweels, they do like shiny and interesting toys, and there is no one in this school who is more powerful than Malleus, and his entire character is so unique and new to them, they could really get into it.

Also I absolutely agree with you in terms of character interactions; I really love that twst has a lot of events that forces random characters to talk to each other, and a lot of times it makes our shipping minds go “hm? What was that? 😳”

You know now that I think about it platonic self insert may just be a reflection of how I had male friends for all my life and now as an adult it's not possible because you know what's the point of a relationship with a girl if you can't have sex with her

I used to get along the most with my brother and dad when I was little. In a part of me, I think the fact that I automatically associate grown ass powerful guys with gap moe and the gentle giant trope is that my brother mostly (since he's taller than my dad) was basically that to me

He always looked more mature than he actually was but he still was very protective and understanding of me at the time and we had the same interest. Heck we were supposed to cosplay for a con at some point because he found that super cool

Now all of this is different but y'know formative years can be changed. But it's just kinda sad you know? Like for once there's my "you're a husbando only if I can actually date you in a otome game because it's too much of a pain in the ass to have to create a romantic self insert thing" but there's also this constant reminder that as an adult you're only seen sexually

Not all men are like this... But society keep pushing that on you constantly. It's everywhere. M/F friendship is assumed to be romantic even if it's not wether it's in fiction and IRL and it's exhausting.

I don't try to act particularly original when I write that I absolutely want to talk about stuff with the male characters of JJK because I find them interesting and it'd be fun. I just actually had that. I have only one male friend left who's close to me now but I am scared that in the future all I will get is accusation of leading guys on for wanting to befriend them

Also it's not that I am against having a romantic relationship at all. I am just ace and I won't waste my time trying to find someone who would be fine never have sex with me with how society is. Sex is still considered like the peak of relationship that is super important to make it work while I don't want this at all

That's why platonic relationship just sound better. I am constantly reminded that my love is invalid because I don't want to have sex at all.

Summary: Megumi is a witch who got banished from his order for the crime of trifling with dark magic in his obsessive quest for revenge.

Sukuna is a demon who already has everything he could ever want, with conceivably nothing more to gain in dealing with mortals.

The two of them have a contract: in exchange for Megumi's soul, Sukuna will give him a body able to withstand the forbidden art of shadow magic, and vow to always come when he is called.

Notes:

- Before Megumi makes his contract with Sukuna, his usage of shadow magic so far had heavily damaged his body: he lost an eye, two fingers, part of his stomach, and the cartilage in his left knee. He wears an eye patch and a knee brace.

- He's able to summon Sukuna after learning his true name, but someone that powerful and important is not obligated to make a contract with whoever summons him, and thus must be convinced that it benefits him first. Megumi has no idea he's the demon king.

- "With this tribute, I summon thee—double-faced spectre, Ryomen Sukuna."

- "And what exactly do you hope to accomplish with such a contract, mortal?" / "You'll just have to wait and see."

- "That's it, then? I'll just slowly turn into a monster the more I use it so, what? I should get used to being so hideous no one can stand the sight of me?"

- Sukuna lies about a bunch of things.

- First, "There is nothing in this world or the next that can [fortify] your soul [to use shadow magic freely]." Less of a lie and more of an omission: demons can freely use shadow magic with minimal effects on their bodies.

- This is because demons do not have a discrete body/soul separation as humans and most other mortals, therefore the law of the border between material and immaterial doesn't apply in the same way, especially in this case when it comes to shadow magic.

- Second, "I have no use for [shadow magic]." It's mostly true, but the implication at the time of him saying this was that he didn't know how to perform it and had no interest in doing so, which isn't true.

- Glutton for knowledge that he is, Sukuna of course knows how to do it, and even does so a couple times when he steps in to help Megumi out.

- However, by the end of the story, Megumi is way way way more proficient at it, especially after he turns into a demon.

- Shadow magic becomes lost to human mages and witches over the centuries, but Megumi's grimoire survives in some restricted ancient archives, and after his turning he becomes known as 暗い影の悪魔 (kurai'kage no akuma), or the "demon of the dark shadows."

- After Megumi has successfully hunted down and slaughtered every member of Kenjaku's clique he can remember, he finally finds Kenjaku in the flesh.

- They have a battle to the death, and Megumi nearly loses, but he refuses to call Sukuna to help him because this is his fight and his fight alone. Megumi kills Kenjaku, but receives a fatal blow himself.

- In his last moments, he summons Sukuna and tells him, with a smile, that he's ready, and that if Sukuna is the one to devour him in the end, then he's truly okay with it.

- However, after Megumi dies and comes to hell, Sukuna doesn't devour his soul. Instead, he reveals that he's been the demon king all along. He says that, as per their contract, he can do with Megumi's soul whatever he wishes, and he's decided to turn him into a demon so he can share his kingdom with him and they can be together forever. Megumi has no objections.

- It's a whole ceremony, kind of like a wedding. Megumi wears a black veil and rides atop a giant black wolf, and Sukuna accompanies him as they traverse the realms of hell. At the end, Sukuna carries Megumi off of the wolf, lifts the veil, and they kiss. Then, the ceremony is completed when Sukuna rips out half of his heart and Megumi devours it. For the second time, he experiences a rebirth by fire, and it is both excruciating and ecstatic.

- When the two embrace, all the hearths in hell flare in passion and pride, while all the shadows dance in delight and jubilation.

- Embody (shadows become semi-physical tendrils that move according to Megumi's will)

- Submerge (shadows become viscous and objects/people can sink in)

- Interface (surface of Megumi's body becomes an entrance into the shadow void)

- Conform (reshapes objects according to how Megumi reshapes their shadows)

- Embody + Conform is the tricky, deadly combo that gets Kenjaku in the end.

- The default manifestation of shadow magic is such that Embody, Submerge, and Interface are all tangled together and happening simultaneously. The hard work comes from teasing them apart and controlling them.

- Mortals are bound to lose their bodies long before this happens.

- Conform is the hardest spell to make work.

- Whenever Megumi isn't chasing the whereabouts of Kenjaku or his crew, he's doing research and training spells to master shadow magic.

- He's even working to compile his own grimoire on shadow magic because it's exceptionally rare for anyone to be able to do it as much as he does.

- It's one of the reasons why he and Sukuna get along so well. As a lover of knowledge himself, Sukuna greatly enjoys Megumi's scholarly nature and watches him eagerly to see how he will push the dark and forbidden art to its limits.

He perks up. "Maki-senpai?" He can't make out her figure, but it couldn't have been anyone else.
