PaPaSeat portable child bike seat review experience by UK mom & dad
Original post in Chinese by Mompacker.com. Translated by Mega Productions for PaPaSeat.com.
Thank you Mompacker for making this review experience possible.
Previously for Taiwanese mom’s in England we’ve seen Taiwan companies selecting candidates for reviewing child bike seat. I was so eager to be a participant. However, seeing so many mothers signing up I felt the chances are slim. But I figure this is a great opportunity for me. After some times, I finally was notified for this selection! From that day I was eagerly anticipating for the package to arrive. Thank you Mompacker and PaPaSeat.
In our household the usual home improvement and installation is the job of my husband. This is no exception. Within 2 minutes he figured it out even a few glimpse at the instruction manual. Within me, I felt proud being from Taiwan because PaPaSeat is designed and produced there. UK’s weather is cloudy and sometimes unpredictable. I began to pray for better weather so we can all go out and experience PaPaSeat for the first time. We were fortunate that during this time of the year the weather is very nice and comfortable even during October and perfect for outdoor bicycling. We installed PaPaSeat immediately set out for a national park near our home called Monsal Trail. Monsal Trail is a perfect place to bicycling with kids because the terrain is relatively flat. So we arrived at Hassop Station which has a wonderful coffee shop and book store as well as bicycle rental station.

Once we arrived at the parking lot, it’s no surprise that our kids can’t wait to try out PaPaSeat. Even when PaPaSeat has not been installed they played with it! Good thing it’s very well built that it can be another toy by itself!
PaPaSeat came with two plastic protector strips to prevent scratches against our bicycle frame. However, we did not use them. Also, we were provided with a canvas seat belt which can be worn by adult and child together preventing the child from potential accident.

The handle bars and foot fat were soft and comfortable. Our younger son has a VIP seat which allows him to have the best ride and view. As you can see from the photo, we’ve also installed a tag-along. Yeah! Off we go! Because I have to be responsible for taking photos so my husband was in charge of modeling. I could tell my son was so happy and enjoying every moment. With the gentle breeze on his face his smiles throughout the bike ride…and telling daddy where to go.

My daughter is also very happy as my son’s joyous laugher. We came across many parents and many were intrigued by PaPaSeat. In UK, traditional child bike seats are installed on the back of the bike which took a lot of space. PaPaSeat is extremely light and very attractive. During our bike ride there we saw a Penny Farthing bicyclist! It’s surly a great experience seeing there are bicycle enthusiasts keeping the tradition alive.

After two hours of our joyous bicycling we eagerly look forward to taking PaPaSeat to another ride. Perhaps we can even travel with it to another country taking our entire family on a new set of adventure together.

PaPaSeat portable child bike seat review experience from French mom and dad (Dürr, France)

So this is our experience of using PaPaSeat.
This experience is through MomPacker.com that provided me with PaPaSeat child bike seat. Thank you MomPacker for sending this item to me in France to allow us to experience a new way of riding a bicycle with my child.
PaPaSeat packaging is great for gift giving. (For those who do not know what to give for friends or relatives with a new born this this is a great item to give.) Opening the packaging have a feel of receiving a gift. I like the art work on the box which is very cute and artistic which reminds me of my childhood experience when I rode on my father’s motorcycle along with my mother. Great memories!
After opening the box, my son immediately stop playing with his Lego and sat on PaPaSeat (don’t imitate please…) Within the packaging there is PaPaseat, seat belt, plastic protective covers to prevent PaPaSeat from contacting bicycle frame and instruction manual.
Honestly, the first time holding PaPaSeat I was surprised that it was so light! Also, there are no tools or screws that require for assembly. It came already ready to use. My husband and I contemplated if PaPaSeat actually works and if it’s safe to carry my son without falling down. However, after feeling PaPaSeat it feels extremely well build and sturdy. Installing is very simple and fast.

My husband was so curious about PaPaSeat that he ignored my instructions and took it to the garage and install it on his bicycle. Yes…his ironman bicycle (God…), I was doubtful that his bicycle will be able to install PaPaSeat.
And then…

It really works! (My mouth wide open…)
I was expecting my son to scream and complain about riding with dad but he did not! However, my husband did listen to me for installing PaPaSeat lower.
Also, my son actually wore a bike helmet. It’s only during taking photo that his helmet was off or else you will only be able to see the helmet and not his face.
I have to admit I was doubtful about the simple and light weight bike seat for the safety of French. However, after riding a couple of circles around the city of Dürr near our house, it became natural. They even began to pose to take pictures!

And then, we road out of our community for about 2 kilometers around Le parc de la Perraudière where there large plots of green grass and cute little animals. During our bike ride I thought I heard my son said “Faster!” I was shocked that I turned around and look at dad to confirm if it’s my imagination. I saw my son’s joyous expression which confirmed it wasn’t my imagination. My son was enjoying riding on PaPaSeat!

After arriving at a part, we found a wonderful walkway. With no one around we quickly took some more perfect photos…

What a wonderful experience! Mommy wants to be in the photo too!

Because we had friends over for lunch today, we only were able to test ride for about 45 minutes prior to sunset. However, my son was extremely happy during the bike ride. Prior to PaPaSeat, my son was always riding on the back seat of the bicycle which I blocked most of his view. Frequently, when he whimper or not making a sound I had to stop riding and ensure there is no danger around and then check on him. With PaPaSeat in the front, it’s convenient for me to monitor him at all times. Also, PaPaSeat is small and light-weight almost let me feel it doesn’t impede my riding. (It’s really natural using PaPaSeat.). My husband insisted it’s a great experience taking a immersive bike ride with my son.
I know my son loves bike riding even more now. Before when we were to leave the house he would go straight to the stroller now he walks to the bicycle.
Final Thoughts:
(1) Adjust the bicycle seat to appropriate height. Confirm PaPaSeat is stable and does not sway.
(2) Make sure to put on the seat belt for safety. Adjust the seat belt to appropriate length.
(3) Mom or dad get on the bike first then carry the child. Then put on the seat belt and go!
* Although my son is not yet 2 years old as PaPaSeat suggest but I had no problem carrying my son. Just make sure your child is capable of balancing and not tired before riding.
