Madison was the third of four children born into the Watts family. And for the most part, you could class the Watts family as a pretty average one. Madison grew up in a mostly happy, and as you can imagine loud household. I suppose that’s one of the perks of having siblings. There was usually always someone around to go bother, or to bother you. With having two older siblings came the pressure of living up to the standard that had been set. Madison was aware of this pressure, but she wasn’t as concerned about it as her parents maybe wanted her to be.

That standard carried its way into Madison’s school life too. Teachers were aware of the Watts family name, and expected great things from Madison. It wasn’t that Madison didn’t do well at school. She would pass her classes, and get decent grades which meant to fell middle of the pack. Of course her parents were happy, or shall we say content, with this average result. It didn’t stop the reminders of being like her siblings, and to just study harder and “apply herself”. Madison would often grow tired of hearing the same speech over and over again. By the time Madison was in high school, it got the point where she would started to walk away from the conversation having heard enough. At the end of the day, in Madison’s eyes, she wasn’t failing any of her classes and was getting good enough grades that would help her in the future. What was so wrong with that?

When she was 16, Madison got a bit of a shock to her system when her mother died in a car accident. Madison didn’t find out straight away. Her father waited until she came home after spending the night at a friends house. And, of course, Madison didn’t want to believe it. To top things off, Madison felt even worse with her last conversation with her mother being an argument. Full of regret, Madison took it harder than her siblings. But she tried not to show it. Instead Madison found ways to avoid thinking and processing it all. She would spend as little time as possible at home, thinking that would help. And by the time it came for Madison to start her senior year, she then threw herself more into her extracurricular activities. While also joining any new ones she could.

Madison didn’t face much difficulty when it came to getting into college. She kept up her grades at the average standard, and had all of her extracurriculars under her belt. At first, she wasn’t sure where to go. And there was the temptation to stay in Florida. But in the end Madison decided to leave home, and find her feet elsewhere in the world. She took the big chance, and moved to New York and started attending NYU.

Life in the city gave Madison a boost of confidence, she managed to make a great circle of new friends and have a few not-so-serious relationships. That was until she met Oliver. It started as a casual relationship, but the two quickly fell for each other. There wasn’t much question to them moving in together once Madison had graduated from NYU and had decided to stay in the city, considering returning to NYU after taking a gap year.

The couple of years after having graduated, Madison was happy. She was gaining credits to help her career path, she had a loving boyfriend, had great friends and was getting ready to go back to NYU. And then Madison had a gut feeling to take a pregnancy test, which she was right in doing. It wasn’t at all what Madison wanted. She wasn’t ready for a baby. Her career had barely begun, and was about to return to university. Madison had only been with Oliver for two years, to her that was too early for their relationship. Especially considering they’d not spoke about their future in that way much. Madison sat Oliver down to share the news, but got a very different reaction from him. He tried to reassure her that they could do this together, they’d find a way to manage. But nothing he said managed to calm Madison’s panic and over-thinking, which in the end lead to her getting an abortion. It was that decision that shattered their relationship.

Madison withdrew her positions of returning to NYU, and she left the city within the month. She returned to Florida. To start with, Madison moved back into her family home. And she could tell her father was happy to have her back. It didn’t take too long for Madison to find her feet again. She was home after all. Within a few months Madison was moving into her own place in Monleon.

born and raised in miami. both of his parents are lawyers. his father expects way too much out of derek, but he always marched to the beat of his own drum. played sports in high school and was always middle of the pack. didn’t care much about excelling only getting away from home.

This would open a new door for her, and she’d come to fall in love with art. She had been so busy living in the fast lane, she never realized how beautiful the world was. 

- She’d end up going to college for art, and found that she wanted to teach it. Fast forward to her teaching it at the local middle school, and honestly, she absolutely loves her job. OVERVIEW:

Logan Elias Danvers was born in Idaho to the owners of a local hardware store in a sleepy little resort town north of Boise. His father was a NHL prospect whose career ended when he suffered a back injury before the draft, and the man’s broken dreams would later be placed upon his only son’s shoulders. Conditioned to believe he needed to be the Next Best Thing in hockey, Logan was trained relentlessly by his father. Every waking moment outside of school was spent practicing – skating, stick handling, puck control, shooting – which left little time for anything else.

His troubles first started in high school. Facing bullying for everything – from his height to his obsession with hockey to his stutter – Logan resorted to violence, lashing out and starting fights with classmates. He was a regular in the principal’s office and racked up his share of suspensions over the years, much to his parents’ dismay. 

Logan finished high school by the skin of his teeth, with grades that guaranteed any scholarship offers that came his way were purely of the athletic variety. Then there was the offers. He signed with the Colorado Eagles and moved to Loveland, Colorado, to live with a teammate and start his career in the American Hockey League (AHL). This  set the stage for his eventual draft into the NHL.

The new freedom in Colorado, away from his father’s brutal daily training regimen, easily translated to trouble; his skill was no match to mitigate his bad behavior on and off the ice, and it eventually pushed the team’s management to threaten to rescind his contract. An intervention from his sister was what pushed him to carry on and not throw it all away. 

Logan was drafted to the Washington Capitals at twenty. He quickly learned at the outset of his career that being a good player wasn’t enough; one had to be the very best to gain any advancement in the sport, and he was self-aware enough to know that no matter how hard he worked he could never one-up his competition. And so he returned to his old ways, acting out as he enjoyed the taste of fame that came with his newfound success. On and off the ice, he earned a reputation as the league’s new Bad Boy of Hockey. His father’s disappointment was palpable as his ranking among rookies slid, but he didn’t let it keep him from having his fun, gaining notoriety and racking up endorsements.

In subsequent years, Logan was traded around the league – first, to the Vancouver Canucks, then to the Nashville Predators, before the Tampa Bay Lightning snapped him up five years ago. He moved to Monleon, Florida, with his sister and has lived there ever since. He prefers the vibe in Monleon to that of Tampa, and commutes into the city for games during the hockey season. Off-season, he can be spotted around town doing his own thing.

Personality-wise, Logan is fun-loving and generally easygoing. He’d give anyone the shirt off his back. He’s can be naive at times because he’s highly optimistic and wants to believe the best in people. He’s fiercely loyal and will go to bat for friends, loved ones, etc., no questions asked (this is frequently the reason why he’s susceptible to getting into trouble –  someone so much as looking the wrong way at someone he cares about is enough to active his fight reflex). Do not mess with his sister. Seriously. Logan knows and trusts that Lily can handle herself, always, but he’s extremely protective over her. She’s his best friend and closest ally. While he’s not the brightest crayon in the box, he’s certainly the most exuberant; what he lacks intellectually he makes up for with heart. Grew up on a farm in Grapevine, Texas (near to Dallas); parents were live-in farmhands for a family friend.

He doesn’t come from money, but his childhood was happy and loving. He helped out on the farm, but his true passion was academia. He wanted to attend an Ivy League, but his financial situation made that difficult so he settled for the University of Texas at Dallas. In-state tuition rates and the ability to live at home and drive to school saved him quite a bit of money.

He knows that money is power, and he didn’t have much of that. He graduated with a degree in chemistry from UT Dallas; a PhD was the ultimate goal but he knew that that would take a while so he decided to go for a master’s degree first.

Went to the University of Florida in Gainesville, about 2 hours from Monleon. Met Sophie, a Monleon native who would eventually become his wife. The two of them began dating, had plans for the future - him going to MIT for his PhD, and she’d follow him there and they’d build a life together. Wyatt proposed shortly after graduation with the intention of having a long engagement, but Sophie got pregnant and they had to decide whether they wanted to start a family, or if they wanted to continue with their life plans.

They agreed to continue on the journey to parenthood, with Wyatt working at a research lab while getting certified to teach chemistry at the high school level. The couple moved to Monleon so as to be closer to Sophie’s parents, and they married in a small civil ceremony in June 2015 - he was no longer going for his PhD, so they had no reason to delay their marriage.

Their daughter, Noelle Ava Montgomery was born in December 2015, and things were great until they weren’t. Wyatt’s in-laws never liked him due to his social status, although they respected him nonetheless but it still fostered tension. His marriage with Sophie also encountered issues shortly after Noelle’s second birthday, and they tried to fix it but nothing worked. 

Wyatt and Sophie separated in June 2018 in an attempt to resolve their issues, but their marriage was damaged beyond repair and they divorced in March 2019. It was an amicable process with both parties agreeing to everything, including joint custody of Noelle.

Wyatt lives in a two-bedroom apartment in South Poinsettia, and is still teaching chemistry at a local public high school. During the summer months, he does odd jobs here and there to supplement his income (seriously, teachers are underpaid af!!!!). When he’s not with Noelle (or Logan), he’s usually reading or watching true crime documentaries.

Eléna hails from Dallas, Texas, and is one of four children born to her parents, Eduardo and Luciana Cordova. The Cordovas are a family of businesspeople, enabled by the fortune amassed from the shale fracking company her grandfather founded. 

( TW: CHILD ABUSE ) Her mother, a retired model, grew to resent the trappings of motherhood. With each child, she grew increasingly restless and discontent; by the time Eléna was born, Luciana had given up on all attempts to be maternal. She administered her anger in pinches to her infant daughter’s skin and found relief in handing the crying child off to the live-in nanny. When the Cordova patriarch was away on business, Luciana exerted her control over her children where she could, dictating what clothing they were to wear and how much food they were allowed at mealtimes.

It was only when Eléna graduated from high school and went off to college that she was able to slowly crawl out from under her mother’s rule. There were still clever ways that the matriarch found to meddle with her daughter from afar ⏤ including monitoring her spending and freezing her credit cards from time to time ⏤ but for the most part, Eléna felt liberated.

Following graduation, Eléna decided to shirk the pressures to return home and go into the family business. Instead, she traveled. Her mother saw to it that she was cut off from the family funds, but despite Eléna’s appetite for fine things, she valued her freedom more. 

Eventually, she landed in Miami. Forced to find work after blowing through her savings, Eléna eventually settled into an entry-level position as a temp, shuffling from office to office to fill in for employees out sick or on leave. Presented with the opportunity to reinvent herself at each company, she thrived in creating elaborate backstories to tell her short-term co-workers, selling every story with the unwavering conviction she had mastered with years of experience lying to get what she wanted.

Five years later, Eléna was married and living in Monleon. For a while, everything was blissful. But as the end of the honeymoon period loomed and conflict flourished, Eléna did her best to find new ways to keep herself entertained. She took up new hobbies and sought out new charitable causes; dipped her toes into a new career and forged a reputation around town as a savvy event planner. And when that wasn’t enough to satisfy her restlessness, her eye began to wander. ( TW: ADULTERY )  Restless and bored, Eléna engaged in her share of extramarital affairs, driven mostly by the loneliness in her marriage. 

As the months wore on, she wondered if this was what the rest of her life was going to look like: managing a fractured existence, split between canceled dinners and hotel rooms. Divorce felt inevitable, in the distance set between her and her husband in their bed at night. But it’s not an option. Eléna’s prenuptial agreement is ironclad and clear: if she walks away from the marriage, she’ll leave with nothing.

Faced with the impossible prospect of having to go crawling back to her family to recover wealth and maintain her status, Eléna’s made up her mind: she has to carry on like this for a little while longer… however long it takes to establish a plan to survive.
