I do think it’s funny and adorable that Mihawk and Zoro have such similar epithets that are even more similar in Japanese.

But it is infinitely more hilarious because while Zoro was hunting Pirates to collect their bounty and fund his journey, Mihawk was seemly hunting marines for the sport of it, because; eh why not 🤷.

after exactly (ok, one day off) a year in business, my lil speech therapist practice is officially keeping me in the black!

I'm hiding it behind a cut because although I know how to Make Internet Arts I am not especially good at it - I know the keyboard shortcuts I just don't know how to use them well.

When Sylvie catches sight of her reflection in the long mirror behind the bar she can’t resist giving herself a victorious smile; she’s here to celebrate and she damn well deserves that celebration. Finally she has found a buyer for her latest piece of work, and if all goes well it’ll bring at least a few months of financial security before she has to start worrying about the bills again. She knocks back the remainder of her margarita and orders another, and since the bartender keeps unsubtly staring at her chest she takes her time searching in her purse for the payment, just in case this prompts him to offer this one on the house. He doesn’t (well, it was a bit of a long shot) but someone else does – a tall, pale, dark-haired man steps in to play Prince Charming instead, and on first impressions alone this unexpected understudy might be good for more than one free drink; she wishes she had ordered something more expensive.

(No prizes for guessing that her "latest piece of work" is in some way fraudulent, or for guessing who the buyer is.)

I thiiiiink I’ve had my name changed everywhere I need to which means that is off my plate and I also have my loan repayment figured out so that’s off my plate as well and my hysterectomy stuff is scheduled and it’ll just be Going to appointments so now. We move onto learning to drive

#have to read the various Manuals and take the learners permit test and sign up for driving school #which will be money. but must be done #rent and monthly loan payments and however much surgery/medical stuff will be is a little stressful #but it needs to be done. better now than when I’m Not living at home (not paying for my own food and essential items etc)#so might as well get driving school out of the way too #the buying a car thing will be something I figure out later. not in my mind right now #but despite it all I don’t feel like. That stressed #this is stuff I can handle and can figure out. I’m capable of it. I’m confident enough #dead text

#One of my jobs when they hired me was to take over this monthly/twice monthly evening program #where essentially we make historical drinks and I teach them different themed history #and I got multiple comments from people who have been coming for years. who said that I was really excelling #multiple people told me that they really liked how I told a story and that's really all I need in my life

#ok I’m so proud of myself bc this involves finance which is something I avoid at all costs but like I did it!!#my work failed to process my check which I should have received yesterday. I’m now expected to get it next week #and part of growing up poor is like. idk. this learned helplessness or defeatist attitude with money problems #like ohh it’s my bad I should’ve had more savings to cover waiting an extra week or longer for my monthly check #and historically I just shut down and panic while doing nothing bc this is my biggest possible stressor to come across #but!!! being around rich people? I’ve learned they negotiate!! and demand to not be inconvenienced!!#my work was like ehh I’m sorry too bad so sad about your check and I was like actually no #I explained how this impacts my ability to pay rent. my credit score. how they didn’t inform me in time to stop bill autopay #and asked what their detailed plan is to fix this #and within an hour admin was scrambling. four different people emailed me apologizing for the mix up #and they worked it out with finance to get me a $2000 loan to get me by until the check hits #but I was like actually no. I won’t be paying interest on this because I shouldn’t be penalized for your error #and so they GOT RID OF INTEREST #0% interest cash advance essentially that covers all my bills #I picked up the physical check for the 2k today so it’s legit thank god #I thanked everyone involved and remained extremely polite #and they said if there’s any other questions you have please let us know #so I was like actually you know what lmao #I explained that I’ve incurred fees for overdrafts and returned items due to bill autopay that I couldn’t cancel due to them informing me #basically the day of my check being late #and so I specifically said I’ve incurred $270 in fees at this point as a result of your error and I shouldn’t be expected to pay this.#and!! they just said… okay!!! I just got an email that they’ve processed a secondary check for $270!!#so like?!?! what?!?! is this what life is like when you don’t shy away from discussing money?!#im genuinely shocked. this is a life lesson. I never would have imagined this outcome #thank god I decided to not take it lying down

My car is finally going and is probably not safe to drive so I’m like emailing back and forth with a guy at a Toyota dealership bc I’m going to buy a new car within the month which is wild to me being an adult and having the help/resources to do that

#my gf is helping me with the down payment so I can put down most and have a monthly payment under $200 #and in October I get a $10000 salary increase bc I’ll have completed classes to get across the salary guide #which is awesome I just never like envisioned myself in this position #it’s hard for me to ask for help bc I’ve done all of my adult life essentially on my own #so my gf putting down a large chunk of money to help me means a lot and is hard to accept #her parents are coming with us tm to test drive a Corolla and I really appreciate it #it’s just hard not to be weird about it ya know #anyway rip Karen my 2003 Corolla #pour one out for a real one #but yeah I am proud of myself that I’m able to do this #it’s just a weird feeling having actual grown up money #julianne speaks #personal

#image described #disability #it's actually so cool and great that they rescheduled one of my essential pain/insomnia meds #its extra cool and awesome that the other main use is MUCH HIGHER STAKES #it's extremely cool that the state of utah made it harder to acquire this nearly non addictive anticonvulsant #i love that the hospital passes out opiates like skittles and we've made this non opiate pain reliever harder to get #its fantastic that one of the drugs i need most is now something to make a bunch of phone calls about all the time #not to mention the monthly obligation to renew the drug that treats forgetting monthly obligation syndrome #also rad that i don't have the spoons to handle a lot of stuff myself and i had to do the paperwork to give my mom access to my records etc #for every. single. doctor. this is all the same clinic! i have gone from appts w multiple docs in a row bc they're all in the same building #cool that an important step to confirming i don't have multiple sclerosis was letting a guy tell me i didn't have symptoms for half an hour #aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh being a GM is so fucking fun

#this week the gm (my wonderful gf) had jury duty and was too busy to plan a session #and i want to learn to gm. im going to be a gm at a monthly event maybe. if that guy ever starts it #i wanted to get some gm experience and have fun with my friends. so i asked my gf if i could gm a one shot #low stakes. essentially 'beach episode' mostly character stuff #it actually ended up being a holiday episode #but it was so fun. the dynamic is a lot different. and i liked playing multiple characters #i got to play my favorite girl. shes an npc and very autistic #and i got to play her!#i played my normal character as an npc. and a bunch of others #my plan worked! i wrote a plan and used it as a guideline and we did improv around it and it worked #and it seemed like everyone had fun #i had so much fun honestly. like i love being a player but being the gm was a whole different barrel of fun #something i really enjoyed was. im a writer #i write stories of like book length and they sit in my documents and no one ever really reads them #and thats okay. theyre just for me and ny love of writing #but when i wrote out the plan for the session. it was then immediately acted out by the coolest people i know #people got to experience my writing in a whole different way. i got to experience my writing in a whole different way #i had a scene in which two people discover a small hidden cubby in the back of a shed with a bird nest in it #what i expected: they easily find the cubby and maybe evacuate the nest #what happened: i point them towards a hidden cubby blocking a door from closing. they assume 'the mice have gotten big. thats weird'#they first fail checks to find and open the cubby. they find an ominous bird nest. they write an eviction notice and leave it in the cubby #they take time to reorganize the shed the cubby is in so they can close the door that was being held open #like it went places i didnt expect because ny friends do not behave as i expect characters to in my head #and then i got to think on the fly about how to work with that #i tried to nudge someone towards going out on the lake so i could put her in mild danger. she instead chose a joke npc to take care of it #and i got to recalibrate around a joke person named jimmy jones whos definitely trans and doesnt know it. whos kind of a dipshit #i got to play him. which i wasnt expecting #let me count how many people i played actually. seven. i played seven people. which is six more than normal #im about to run out of tags but it was wonderful and amazing and i had the most fun ive had in forever and omg it was fucking great
