AN: ...I admit that I've stolen quite a few details from the original story, especially in this part, but hopefully that doesn't bother anyone too much hahah (/▿＼ )♡ Enjoy~

The weather calmed and the snow melted away, then came spring and Junmyeon and Jongdae began to meet by the pond again. The birds were singing, everything became more colourful and the flowers grew strong and beautiful - it truly turned into a summer as lovely as the winter had been harsh, and every day was filled with games and laughter.

Then came the day when they sat under a tree and Junmyeon read aloud from his favourite book. He was in the middle of a sentence when Jongdae suddenly got up and held a hand to his face.

"I got something in my eye!" He rubbed his eyes for all he was worth, then whimpered and clutched at his heart. "My chest hurts too!" Junmyeon had also gotten to his feet and was currently holding his best friend around the neck while searching for the source of the pain, tearing up as he became more and more scared.

"I don't see anything, Jongdae!" he cried, but by now Jongdae had stopped rubbing his face and suddenly looked like nothing had happened.

“Would you stop crying, you're ugly when you cry! I'm perfectly fine!" He took a step away from the tree and grimaced when he saw the flowers. "Geez, this one is crooked, and that one's become food for worms. Nature sure is disgusting!” He then started to tear them apart, but quickly lost interest and stomped off to his house, slamming the door shut and leaving a shocked Junmyeon by the pond.

What just happened? 

This question echoed in Junmyeon’s head as he slowly walked home, and remained unanswered as the days went by.

From one moment to another Jongdae had changed into someone who teased people without mercy, someone who made fun of their parents behind their backs, someone who hated Junmyeon’s favourite book and who only complained at his attempts to make him laugh or remember how things were before. This was a Jongdae who didn’t utter a taunting remark without fully meaning it, not at all like before when a smile always hid by the corners of his lips, and no matter how hard he tried not to take it to heart Junmyeon couldn't help doing so.

Autumn passed and winter arrived once again and coincidentally the two former friends met at their pond one day, Jongdae motioning towards the falling snowflakes as he noticed Junmyeon approaching.

"Look at them, Junmyeon. This is beauty, those stupid flowers you're always nagging about don't even come close. It's such a shame that they melt away so quickly." He shook his head in disappointment and turned away, Junmyeon heaving a sigh as he did so. Nothing had changed between them during the months that had passed, and it hurt having to be reminded of that every time they saw each other.

Suddenly Jongdae got close and screamed into his ear. "I'm going down to the square to play!” And away he went, obviously happy about leaving a shaken Junmyeon behind. Junmyeon on the other hand went back home again, back to his room, the sheer hopelessness of the situation having him leaning his elbows on the windowsill in defeat.

Was it going to be like this forever? Would the old Jongdae never resurface?

If he were to be honest, Junmyeon felt like going to bed and sleep the rest of the winter away, but for some reason his subconscious wouldn’t let him rest and instead he leaned on the windowsill, the way the moon shone on the snow making him forget his frustration for a while. However, as the evening wore on he fell asleep, and when he woke up he couldn’t remember if he had seen Jongdae come back or not. At first he tried to tell himself that he had simply failed to notice his friend returning, but his worry grew as he checked both of their houses, then the square, then resorted to asking everyone he met.

When he came across Sehun and Jongin, two sweet boys who were known throughout the town as the most troublesome duo of the decade, he was told that Jongdae had won the game they had been playing by being dragged behind a big, white sleigh. They hadn't seen him after that though, and Junmyeon had them show which way the sleigh had taken so that he could try and follow it's tracks. Sehun and Jongin didn't think it possible, what with the square being well-visited and all, but they offered to keep him company, and even refrained from teasing him when Junmyeon had to accept that they were right.

It was with a heavy heart Junmyeon walked home that day, the knowledge that they hadn't missed each other last night doing little to comfort him when Jongdae was nowhere to be found, and for the rest of that winter no joy was present in his home.

Time passed, and spring came, bringing the flowers and the birds with it. But no Jongdae. Junmyeon tried his best to work and function as usual, but the people around him were well aware of the fact that he often went down to the pond to stare out into the distance, and so they suffered with him. 

The days went by like that, each passing day similar to the day before, until one day when he actually sat down and let his hand touch the water.

As the cool liquid flowed around his fingertips, he felt something tugging him upwards, and he noticed that there was a small creek that ended up in the pond. How could he have missed that after all the years playing here? The tugging became more insistent when he walked towards the creek and soon he found himself standing at the shore of a big river. He looked at the sheer amount of water in awe for a moment, before he absentmindedly sat down on a wooden bench to collect his thoughts.

He soon realised that it wasn't a bench; it was the sitting area in a boat, and it wasn't tied to the shore so to Junmyeon's horror it began to float out into the river - away from the town, away from his family. At first he contemplated jumping into the water, but by now the stream was too strong and it felt too risky to try it. He finally accepted that he was stuck and he sat down again, deeply saddened. 

First Jongdae, now this? 

He cried bitterly, the tears disappearing into the cascading water that surrounded him.

Junmyeon didn’t see a single person for quite some time, but when he spotted a house among the greenery he was immediately up on his feet, screaming as loud as he could. His heart leaped when the door opened and a boy clad in black with big eyes came out. Those eyes widened even more when they saw Junmyeon and the boat and he began to run towards him.

“Take my hand!” Junmyeon did so and a moment later he was thrown onto land by the brute force in the boy's arms. For a minute he just laid there, trying to catch his breath, then he turned towards his saviour.

"Thank you for saving my life!" The boy smiled a heart-shaped smile and helped him up. Junmyeon was taller than him, but not by much, and he soon learned that his name was Kyungsoo. 

Junmyeon felt safe with him from the very start.

“I’m glad I could help. Would you like to come into my garden and calm down with a cup of tea?" Junmyeon said yes, and together they walked up the hill to Kyungsoo's house that was surrounded by all kinds of plants. Among them Junmyeon could spot his own and Jongdae's flowers, and a sad expression appeared on his face. Kyungsoo noticed it and watched him with concern.

"Is there anything wrong?" Junmyeon shook his head and smiled at his new friend.

"No, not at all. It's just that the white flowers over there remind me of the ones standing by the pond between mine and Jongdae's houses, back in my hometown…” 

Kyungsoo went behind Junmyeon to put his hands on his shoulders and gently pushed him down so that they were sitting in the soft grass. Junmyeon appreciated the caring gesture and gradually forgot what had him anxious in the first place. 

"Don't worry, Junmyeon. Everything will be alright. Now tell me everything from the beginning."

Junmyeon nodded and closed his eyes while leaning into Kyungsoo.

Everything would be alright.

Do you do readings for exo? I was curious about which members are attracted to foreigners sexually or dating wise?

Of course I do, I like the group and Baekhyun is one of my favorite idol soloists and vocalists. I just don’t get a lot of requests for them, so I don't do them much. I did specify non-korean, because a foreigner can still be a korean born in another country lol And I felt you may have meant that. 

Suho (The Star/Knight of Cups/5 of Wands) I see it with him, but there could be disagreements and drama if he does, not sure their values will align, makes sense. But I can see him pursuing foreigners and having interest. 

Xiumin (9 of Swords/7 of Cups/6 of Pentacles) I see him having fantasies, so in his head he would, but don’t see him doing so in real life. Too much stress and he sees practicality. If it benefits him in any way, career and money wise, than yes. 

Baekhyun (The Moon/The Empress/3 of Wands) Not sure why I intuitively felt he would, but yes, he is. I say more so than the others so far. I mean he gave me the empress card, does he want a baby momma with a foreigner lol And 3 of wands is about expanding, going outside what he knows. 

Chen (4 of Swords rv/Queen of Cups/Knight of Pentacles) I felt weird doing him, since I know he is married, I don’t think so with him, yes, QOC’s can give me maybe, but that seems like his wife’s energy too. Probably no.

Chanyeol (Queen of Wands/6 of Swords/3 of Pentacles) I will say another one strongly saying yes, he may have in the past. It could have been through work. Does he go to events in different countries? It could have happened there. 

D.O (3 of Wands/2 of Cups/King of Swords) Indeed he would, nothing more to say there. I say they would need to have strong intelligence or have a great mind. He seems to be impressed by intelligence. Not sure how that works with a language barrier, unless they speak Korean I guess. 

Kai (Justice/Queen of Wands/Knight of Cups) Yes, he would and may have pursued one in the past and dated one in the past.

Sehun (8 of Pentacles/9 of Swords/4 of Pentacles) I am not seeing it with him. I think he prefers the traditional approach, so he rather date Korean.

"not yours", jongin mumbled. "everyone's."

okay, now that was a bit more deeper.

"what? why?", you frowned.

"i don't know", he shrugged, the pout never leaving his lips. "i spent the day with sehun, but everytime i bid someone goodbye i feel like they hate me and that i'm upsetting them somehow."

you stopped your actions, trying to look at jongin's eyes, but the way he kept staring at those cups made it difficult.

"babe", you softly called him, and when he looked at you, you gave him the sweetest smile you could manage it. "you have no idea how loved you are."

"aish...", he mumbled, looking away.

"i mean it, jongin! you are so loved, especially by your members. even if you do upset them, which i think you rarely do, they love you enough to forgive you. and so does your family, and so do i..."

jongin stared at you, eyes behind his deep glasses getting kinda wet, but he would never admit that.

"you promise you don't secretly hate me? and that you'll tell me if you ever get mad at me?"

"i've been dating you for like, eight months now."

"that's not what i asked", jongin shaked his head.

with a sigh and a chuckled, you nodded. "yes, i promise."

he mouthed a tiny 'okay' before going back to his task. you did the same, a silly smile on your lips as you just couldn't believe how cute he truly was - and the smile only got bigger when you felt jongin stopping for a second to kiss your temple, mumbling a quiet 'thank you'.
