⚡️”There’s a starman waiting in the sky….” 💔 Sydney and Paddington locals might have noticed that our biggest star was scraped off his wall earlier this week…⚡️👩‍🎤⚡️ Our much loved David Bowie mural at our original premises at Elizabeth Street in Paddington had become a landmark icon, a meeting place, a way to give directions, not to mention a cultural identity for the community⚡️ When David Bowie transcended to the sky in 2016, we collaborated with artist Sofia Fitzpatrick @toffyfitz to create a wonderful tribute to the Starman himself ⚡️ The response and outpouring of love for this piece of public art over the years has been overwhelming ❤️ Musicians, rock photographers, families, celebrities, dogs, kids, models, friends, lovers… we are eternally grateful to everyone who has passed by and photographed, supported, cherished, and worshipped this beautiful artwork 🙏 Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined how significant it would become.
