Just some wips because art has been slow but things are happening.

[ID: Two wip drawings. The first is a rough sketch of three dragons: a tall one in ice blue, he has deer antler-esque horns and is blushing; a medium tan one with his wings wrapped around the other two who is smiling; and a short, chubby dark green one with a soft smile and large ears. The second is a more complete wip. It shows two dragons facing each other and holding front talons. The dragon on the left is medium forest green with darker green wings. She has a light green marking around her eye and a strip on her neck. There are bright red scales dotted around her body and she has a neon green and red frill. She bears several light colored scars and nicks in her frill. The other dragon is just lined without color. She appears to be smaller and more slim, with floppy frills and more rounded claws. Both dragons are smiling. /End.]

Yeah so I'm not super into ships. It's just not my thing, go figure being aroace. I normally just accept who are couples and like or dislike them, but don't really care to fight about fannon shipping. There are notable exceptions (ex. TallstarxJake, RavenpawxBarley, MothwingxLeafpool, BlazexGlacier, CorynxPhillip, JimxOluwandexArchie) who I will die on a hill about. But for the most part, I just vibe about ships and think they're neat, as long as they aren't literally illegal. Anyway, my favorite fannon couple is Quinterwatcher. I like to think that Moon and Qibli are together first and eventually Winter works through his shit and realizes he likes them both. Obviously Pan Moon and Bi Qibli are like, 'yeah welcome to the poly-q.'

And just more work on my favorite cannon couple. Lesbian plant dragon supremacy. Go figure all of my die on hill ships are also queer. Who would have guessed.

Mothpool headcanons

- their meeting spot is amongst the rocks, further away from the Moonpool. There’s a few smaller pools and some nice, smooth rocks there

- it was there that Leafpool tearfully admitted that she was having kits with Crowfeather and Mothwing felt her heart break; she was convinced Leafpool would never love her back

- however, a few years later, Leafpool was the one to confess to her, at that very spot

- they’re both chronic cuddlers; Mothwing loves enveloping whoever’s closest to her in all her long, warm fur and Leafpool loves wrapping herself around anyone lying near her

- Mothwing took a particular shine to Jayfeather, since he reminded her of his mother, who also struggled with her own role as medicine cat

- they both found it incredibly funny that Lionblaze ended up looking like Mothwing, Leafpool joking that it was a gift from Starclan

- Leafpool collects hundreds of nice flowers she finds around the territory to give to Mothwing and she’ll be damned if she doesn’t drag the whole bunch to their meeting spot every time

actually,the idea of jayfeather fighting feathertail or working with her has made me realize that she and jayfeather probably look kinda similar,at least sorta colorwise

Someone pointed out that each of the three looks like one of Crowfeather's ex-lovers, Lion looks like Leaf, Jay looks like Feather, and Holly looks like Nightcloud.

I also like each one of them looking like the Hawk/moth/tadpole litter for AUs where they were MothwingxLeafpool children.

My designs for Jayfeather and Feathertail will look very different though, Jayfeather's stripes are horizontal where Feathertail's are vertical with a conspicuous 'dorsal mane' that she gets from Graystripe

if your still taking ideas for hypokits, could you do mothwingxleafpool?

I'm still takin them, no worries!

But, one kitto! Definitely takes after Mothwing more than Leafpool, markings wise. They have Mothwings bushy tail and have an affinity for water. But they have Leafpools legs and paws, and her ears!

So wait, is Ivypool x Hollyleaf okay to ship or is it considered incest?

Well... it’s up to you, really. They’re pretty distantly related, only 1.5% according to climbstudio, which is less than mothpool and many other canon ships, like squirrelbramble and dustfern. Their relation just happens to be more visible to the average reader because of Cloudtail being Ivypool’s grandfather and Firestar’s nephew. Everyone knows Cloudtail and Firestar, not so many people know of Redtail and Leopardfoot’s relation since they’re not as prevalent in the books.

As well as thinking about the fact that these characters are cats, with a VERY closed breeding-pool, its incredibly difficult to link the cats without finding mates being related, distantly or closely. add in some general sloppiness from the authors/warriors team, it creates kind of a big mess. 

There are arguments that it is wrong, and arguments that it isn’t wrong. I generally lean more towards that it isn’t wrong for the distantly related ships like hollyleafxivypool and mothwingxleafpool. 

I’d recommend just thinking it over thoroughly for yourself and then making your decision on if its okay or not.
