he’s a private banker but he’s got his foot heavily wedged in the door for hedge fund management

means he survives off about 3 hours of real sleep a night and thrice as many cups of coffee

tbh he doesn’t even really know what kind of fumes he’s running off

but yes while hanbyeol likes to think he’s suave and aloof, he’s not really

he’d certainly like to have more people to talk to, but after his high school friends ditched it’s been a bit of a downward spiral in terms of socialising

he’s not really distant for the sake of being distant

he’s just busy, really busy

and also trusting people is hard

and requires time and effort, neither of which he has in him atm

he lives a terribly lonely life, it’s rly quite sad

but hey? he’s rich?

byeol scares most people at first glance, especially the interns, but his rbf is really just the product of his last all-nighter

he’s p gentle and v shy

lives off of takeout tbh

rly adores his older brother

lives in perpetual fear of his parents bc his dad has always been and still is rather heavy-handed, very literally, in his child-rearing approach

is honestly mentally a hot mess, really and truly

would absolutely love to have a pet but also has zero capacity to take care of one atm

hello! my name’s chey & i’m going to be writing for both jung dasom and chae somin. i’m a little bit unprepared, so i don’t have any of dasom’s pages finished but i do have the first portion of her info page & a pinterest board if that’s your thing! you’ll find a collection of maybe-necessary information below the cut. like this if you want to plot!

first things first... she is partially inspired by new girl’s jessica day!

very bubbly, optimistic --- some people assume that she’s just naive, hasn’t figured out how tough life is yet, but she’s nowhere near as clueless as she seems. just thinks that life is too short to NOT try to find enjoyment in everything.

extroverted, but her social life has been LACKING in recent years since her job does not grant as much free time as she would like. </3

on that note... she’s a middle school science teacher. the wage is not good. the hours are not good. the people are... okay. but she’s lowkey suffering, can barely afford her rent, let alone pay to get things in her apartment fixed. recently posted a roommate ad on craigslist if anyone’s interested in sharing the doom cave with her. <3 (conversely.. if anyone’s looking for a roommate, hit her up! she’s fun!)

wanted to be a fashion designer since she was a little girl. she carried around a notebook that had all her sketches in it, her parents bought her a bunch of equipment (including slightly-terrifying mannequins), used to make clothes for people for fun! as a teenager, most of her clothes were handmade or altered in some way.

speaking of the teenage years,,,, she was a little bit of a wild child. has mellowed out significantly since then.

she tried fashion school, but someone said something to hurt that burnt out every ounce of passion she had and she dropped out. her dad’s a teacher, which is why she decided to go into teaching instead. didn’t actually want to, kinda hates it, but tries to be cool and make class fun.

ended up selling all of her fashion equipment to pay bills at different points in the past, but she does still sew fun little pictures into her jeans/t-shirts and she still makes earrings.

bruh she is... so achingly lonely. doesn’t know why bc she has friends (even if she doesn’t see them as often as she’d like), she’s still close to her parents, she’s around people all day every day pretty much,,,, but it is what it is.

likes to sing to herself to fill the silence! catch her singing while grading papers after school hours, while walking home from the grocery store, while washing dishes..... lit rally, she’s always singing. is she good? absolutely not.

collects snowglobes because they’re pretty! she likes the ones with glitter in them the most, but she’s not picky. has never seen one she didn’t like. give her a snowglobe and she’ll cherish it for the rest of her life.

somin... can come on a little strong sometimes. wants to say she’s all ~peace~ and ~love~ but there’s also some insane nosiness and jealousy just below the surface. if it’s your first time meeting her and she just so happens to ask you very personal questions... don’t be surprised yet. it gets worse.

both parents are in the picture, but they divorced when somin was a pre-teen and she ended up living with her dad, who also had full custody. only talked to her mom on the phone and saw her around holidays, really. which.... was better for both of them.

anyway! her dad’s a musician (although his band was way more active when he was younger, they still play shows just for fun every now and then) and he also happens to own a club. somin spent much of her childhood in that club, usually hanging out backstage with local musicians or whoever else was around.

learned how to play the guitar & piano from her dad, ended up deciding that she really, really liked rock music & wanted to start a band. obviously wasn’t realistic to do that at like.... 13/14, though, so it was just an ~idea~

also toyed w the idea of going to college, maybe pursuing “Real Work” (as her mother would put it) but that never really appealed to her. f.

once she graduated high school, she went through quite a few part-time jobs in the span of just a few months and the cycle..... never ended. she’s absolutely terrible at keeping jobs. doesn’t want to stay anywhere she doesn’t like, and as it turns out, she doesn’t like most jobs. rip. currently a waitress at some unnamed restaurant or diner or whtevr.

i’m not sure of the exact timeline yet bc it hasn’t been discussed, but she did end up finally starting that band she always dreamed of!!! they’re called wuju cowboy. they’re pretty good or whatever...... please come to a show <3 

can’t agree whether or not they want to be big --- somin does want to be big, personally, but she pretends that she’s indifferent most of the time. still...... it gets her all giddy when random people want to talk to her after shows. 

has a soundcloud acc where she posts solo music (it’s not tht good, so her identity’s kept a tight secret LMAO) and she posts covers sometimes! obsessed with music. it’s all she wants to do.

has her own apartment, but sometimes she couch-surfs just to get the touring musician vibe in case wuju cowboy ever happen to go on tour.

collecting tattoos, shows no sign of slowing down. at this point, it’d be a wonder if she ever gets hired for a professional job. </3 pisses her mom off, so maybe that’s part of the reason why she won’t stop!

hello hello ! im blue and i’m excited for the site but i didn’t really prep any pages because i got lazy and now i regret it. my about page is up but its really just her biograpy lmao. so i’ll throw all the cliff notes under a cut and you can get a feel for her that way, and we can get plotting! OH and i have  a discord too just hmu for it!!!

tw substance abuse, anxiety, barely there mention of harrassment

quick facts ; she is a twenty eight year old singer-songwriter who works freelance marketing and copy editing jobs. born and raised in seoul (gangnam > mapo) she’s a bit of a wild card and definitely weird. she is not as cool as her face or her job may suggest her to be but she’s happy for you to assume that she is. positive traits include passionate, open minded, loyal, creative, and whimsical. negative traits include obsessive, erratic, unreliable, and avoidant. random other traits include humor as defense, critical (of self and others), easily distracted. purposefully abstract. 

originally from seoul, born and raised in gangnam, put under a metric ton of pressure to succeed. 

she was always more freeform and creatively minded than her parents preferred but they kept her busy enough that she didn’t get into a ton of trouble. 

it didn’t take a whole lot of time for her to develop mad anxiety however. 

she did well enough in school but honestly truancy began to creep up on her. she was really conflicted about that because she wanted to do well, she really did, but the pressure of it constantly overwhelmed her, leaving her skipping class to have a panic attack in the bathroom or chainsmoke on the roof. 

she really began to rely on substances as a crutch at that point, particularly “study drugs” and simple nicotine/alcohol. 

so massive pressure gets put on the once a year entrance exam, don’t blow it or you’re a disgrace, etcetera, i’m sure you can see by now that she does not handle pressure very well. 

so you can imagine she totally blew the test, by her parents standards. she basically rushed through it so she could have a panic attack in private, super fun. 

she managed to scrape a score that could get her at least into A university but not any kind of school her parents would approve of. 

basically she was on her own after that, they did the bare minimum of kind of “supporting” her in a way that their friends would think they were being good parents but in reality they were just writing a couple infrequent checks predicated on her showing up on chuseok and seollal to play nice.

she moves out of gangnam after that because living with them is horrible and demeaning and really wrecking her self esteem. 

being on her own feels much better, she’s braver, she’s happier, she’s freer. she gets into music and song writing, she does open mics, she finds she’s not at all terrible at marketing so like things are looking up. she’s good at copy editing and she writes good one liners and her talent for dad jokes and puns really shines through in commercial writing.

she gets a shitty internship, leverages it into a position after graduation and then..

she makes the mistake of thinking HR will help her instead of her shitty, handsy, gross boss.  plot twist, she gets ostracized and eventually quits.

so she’s disillusioned and angry now, she’s in a band, kind of a grunge princess but like mostly she’s a weirdo i’ll be honest with you. she’s a fan of blist horror and shitty scifi and urban exploring. she works freelance because she doesn’t really trust the business world and she feels weird about the fact that her face is considered a positive asset in the workplace and she hates that her mood is so unstable and that one mistake as a kid sent everything spiralling into where it is today. 

she likes mapo these days and tries to avoid going south of the river. it’s just bad energy down there.
