The lack of Mr. Crocket content on this site is unbelievable.

The movie may not be perfect, but Elvis Nolasco KILLED it as Mr. Crocket and the fact no one has made .gifs of him is a huge disappointment to me.

Adding onto this, there was supposed to be a sequel to the movie Maniac following a children's show host named Mr. Robbie who kills the abusive parents of his fans, and when I first read that I was like "Oh, him and Mr. Crocket would be besties for sure" (though, Mr. Robbie was a regular human in contrast to Mr. Crocket being a human-turned-demon like Freddy Krueger)

Mr. Crocket was justified by the narrative.

I watched Mr. Crocket last week (kept forgetting to post this); I think it was alright, but I hated 3 things about it.

Rhonda should've died. There is 0 excuse for letting someone abuse your child, she deserved to die just as much as her husband did. She heard all that commotion and didn't even run out there? And I'm disgusted by how Summer was excusing her and pep-talking her at the end. Fuck her! RHONDA SHOULD'VE FUCKING DIED! Now she can go to the next sack of shit whom she'll let abuse her son! 😊

I hate that they killed Anthony. He should've survived. (I absolutely called that he was Anthony from the very first moment we see him.)

That child-abuse-endorsing bitch from the funeral should've died. Mr. Crocket needs to come for her ass.

As a Blaxican horror girlie and a known Villain Enjoyer, I am glad to have another Black horror villain. (And any Black character who explicitly does not fuck with child abuse, something far too accepted and encouraged in Black culture — and POC culture in general — is always welcome to see.)

All that being said: 5½/10.

Mr. Crocket "Mr. Crocket's World" Trailer

Set in 1993, Mr. Crocket follows Summer Beverly. Summer's husband has died from cancer and she is struggling to support herself and her 9 year old son Major, who is spiraling due to his father's death. Summer believes she is granted a miracle when a VHS tape of Mr. Crocket's World appears on her doorstep and playing it calms down Major. The "miracle" turns out to be more like a curse when her son is kidnapped.

Mr. Crocket stars Jerrika Hinton, Ayden Gavin, Elvis Nolasco, Kristolyn Lloyd, and Alex Akpobome. The film is directed by Brandon Espy and written by Carl Reid and Espy. The film is based on Espy's short of the same name.
