Just Imagine If Miss Heed Tried To Capture Batman Rogues With Ties To Chemistry

Seriously, I am surprised she didn't try to go after the Batman Rogues gallery in order to help with her formula. A lot of them would have a good history in chemistry.

Gotham Rogues Gallery is teaming with scientists for her to use. We got Poison Ivy who is a botanist with a history in toxicology, Scarecrow who often uses chemistry for his use of his fear toxins, Mr. Freeze who has studied many science fields including chemistry, he's an expert in everything including chemistry, Mad Hatter who dips himself into chemistry as a neuroscientist, and Dr. Milo who despite not being as prominent as them whole focus is chemistry and thus would probably be leading things since that's his expert field.

And funny enough two characters you wouldn't expect that she could pick up would be Joker and Punchline due to their hand in chemistry. Seriously, guy developed that Joker gas all on his own so he must know a thing or two about chemicals. He was mutated after all. Also Punchline is a chemist student so she would know a lot as well so a good candidate to kidnap for her formula.

She could also eye the Riddler, but he's not really a chemist he's more into the engineering and stuff when he's depicted as a scientist. But yeah anyone of these guys could make a whole team to make her formula. However, I could see one problem it's probably the fact that Gotham rogues are probably considered tougher than the average villain and would prevent her from brainwashing her. Seriously, Poison Ivy with her own pheromones might turn her into a love slave (irony). And Joker himself could have something that his madness causes him not to actually be capable of love.

I think another reason why to avoid collecting those guys is that Batman would be suspicious and investigate who is disappearing his rogues. Or even worse, he doesn't take that they were turning a new leaf and investigates and shuts down Heed's operation. Seriously, brainwash anyone of these guys and you will have Batman just coming after you to investigate what's really going on because guy has seen tons of his rogues supposedly go legit and end up back into crime.

fucking "Rex Glass" and the episode "Man in Glass" AND NUREYEV EXPLAINING HOW HE CHOSE "REX" BC IT MEANS KING, AS IN CONTROL.

In s1ep1, Nureyev (Glass) talking about the meaning of names and what "Rex Glass" means to him:

Nureyev: "I take my name as a creed to live by: control your name, and you control yourself."

Juno: "It's a pretty thought, Rex. [I] Wish it were that simple."

LIKE HELLO??? SHATTER MY HEART AGAIN AFTER THE SIXTEEN TONS. Nureyev thinking he controls himself, and he can when he changes his name. He can disappear when he changes his name. But he loses some sense of control with Juno, let's himself relax a bit and let's Juno take charge of some things instead. On the flipside, he has no control with the people holding Slip Jackson — they know his name and are willing to use it as a weapon against him. He can't control his name here, so he can't control himself (looks at the line in which Juno says that they "stole his [Nureyev's] story" because Nureyev always thought he was doing something inconceivable and unique (therefore no one could understand his suffering), just to find out that he is one of maybe thousands in the same position all across the galaxy.

Not only does Man in Glass make Nureyev more transparent for us, Buddy, and even Juno, but also it highlights the back-and-forth struggle for Nureyev as he goes between choosing his names and yet yearning to hear Juno "call [him] what [he] used to."

Breakfast and Books / Sourdough and Sourdough Reading Robin Sloan's brilliant book, Sourdough while eating a local sourdough toast and marmalade at The Wild Herb Cafe in Holt, Wiltshire. Sourdough is a whimsical, genre-blending novel that follows Lois Clary, a lonely software engineer in San Francisco who stumbles into a new life after inheriting a mysterious sourdough starter from two eccentric brothers. As she begins using the starter to bake bread, Lois finds herself drawn into a secretive, avant-garde food underground that challenges the boundaries of technology, tradition, and biology... even reason! Robin Sloan is the author of the excellent Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore and there are hints that this book is even set in the same universe (or Penumbraverse). I really enjoyed it; there’s robots, weird bread, and a whole lot of existential vibes. If you've ever wanted to sack off your job, bake something slightly haunted, and find your people in the unlikeliest of places, this book’s a treat.
