Ok so @palettepainter's Muppet art made me wanna try my hand at drawing my favorites!

Edit: Fun fact I used to be scared of Big Bird as a child! Couldn't tell you why tho lmao!

And then since I didn't wanna just tag Pallete in a post with shitty Kermit and Big Bird doodles I decided to draw my favorite of THEIR Muppet ocs!

Anyway, my OC Liza is Zoot’s sister and a Paediatrician. Zoot just thinks she’s a regular doctor and goes to her for check ups. She eventually gives correcting this and takes him as a regular because he’s family and annoying.

My muppet ocs as this silly picture of the Beatles 💔

The melodies:

The melodies are a band that consist of 6 people. The original members were Willy spears, Archer(or Aaron) Joans, Rick ‘Ricky’ space, Jonathan Passion,Pearl and hazel joined later. Willy is the guitarist, archer/Aaron is the bassist, Ricky is the drummer and Jonathan is the pianist, they’re based(or inspired idk) by the Beatles: Willy is Paul more specifically billy shears, archer(or Aaron) is George, Ricky is ringo, and Jonathan is John. In the later seasons(and later productions) They were the backup band for the mayhem. Janice was briefly their manager

From left to right

Archer(or Aaron) Joans

The bassist of the melodies and Floyd’s biggest fan out of the muppets. He first meet Floyd on the muppet show, he originally worked as set designer painting and drawing. Floyd and him became friends after Floyd heard him playing the bass. In the 2015 series He absolutely adores Floyd, but Floyd can barely remember who he is. He’s based off of George Harrison(who he’s also obsessed with!)but he’s not really like him but he’s the George of the group🤷🏻‍♂️. Sometime he worries that his music won’t support him and he’ll end up being miserable. He’s a worried guy, and struggles to find his place in a conversation. The type of songs he writes are ‘Yesterday’ ‘let it be’ ‘our last summer’ ‘super trouper’

Jonathan Passion

The pianist and lead singer for the band. He’s the John of the group. He has green curly hair that he wears in a ponytail. He has lime green skin, and a blue nose. He most commonly wears a blue long sleeve shirt with black pants, with a pink/magenta scarf. The band writes an equal amount of songs but Jonathan has written the most. Him and Archer/Aaron are childhood friends. He also wears round black glasses, and when he first joined the show there was debate over if he had eyes or not(he does!). Hes a very chill guy not much bothers him.His favorite member of the band is probably teeth. He first joined the muppet show working on sounds where he met Willy and the two decided to form a band. The type of music he writes is ‘Help!’ ‘Waterloo‘ ‘Uptown girl’ ‘you spin me round’ ‘temporary secretary’

Rick ‘Ricky’ Space

The drummer of the band, he plays the snare drums. He’s obviously based off of Ringo Starr. He’s a bit spacey. Not much is known about his childhood. He first joined the muppet show working on props. When Jonathan and Willy came to him with the band idea he instantly agreed. He was actually the one who convinced Archer/Aaron to join the band as he was hesitant. He actually gets along with animal and doesn’t mind when animal bits him. The type of music he writes is like ‘strawberry fields forever’ ‘careless whisper’ ‘forever young’

Willy Spears:

The guitarist for the melodies and lead singer , based of Paul McCartney more specifically Billy shears. He has purple skin, pink hair, a orange nose, a little heart on the right side of his forehead. He wears a similar outfit to Paul McCartneys Sgt Pepper outfit and dark purple pants. Dudes a bit sketchy as the muppets or the band know much about him. He is violent when needed like if he needs to defend his bandmates. He’s a very loyal person if you’re his friend. Him and Jonathan are gay. His favorite member of the mayhem is Janice. Zoot really hated him back then but Willy would always would respond with a calm tone while telling him off irritating Zoot more. He’s very calm but he can get very aggressive if needed. He first joined the muppet show working on sounds where he met Jonathan and the two decided to form a band. The type of songs he writes are ‘with a little help from my friends’ ‘Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey’ ‘ashes to ashes’

Lol imaginings these guys playing a board game or really any game for a game night is so entertaining to think about. Like Tibbs is already getting super competitive, he shows no mercy. Maybe whenever it came to Terri or Lena he'd take it easy, BUT TINA?????? Nah he's gonna make sure he wins against her 😂

It's been a while since I've drawn anything Muppet related, but I redesigned Ben Parra and his daughter Charlie. These were some of my first Muppet OCs that I wanted to redo and I'm happy with the results.

Ben is now 42 years old and Charlie is about 8 years old here. I'll get to drawing her in her teen years later.

The backstory is mainly about Ben, but Charlie is included.

Backstory:

Benjamin Parra was born to Henry and Pamela Parra. His parents worked hard to provide for him, which meant that he would be babysat by his Uncle Duarte, Henry's twin. Uncle Duarte would pass unexpectedly in his sleep when Ben became 10.

When he was 17, he met his three best friends: Kali, Desiree, and Vesper. They formed a band called The Spirits and played small gigs for a while until they grew popular. Popularity of their band led them out of Ben's hometown, which led him to promise to stay in touch with his parents.

However, as their band grew, they had to compete with other bands. Jealousy led Kali and Desiree to keep working on music while Vesper and Ben took a backseat. Ben eventually came out as transgender and adopted a girl he named Charlie.

One night, tragedy struck the band as Desiree, Kali, and Vesper died while Ben was out with Charlie. Both of them survived the best they could with the band's remaining money, but it eventually ran out and they were on the streets. They lived like this for a few years until Rowlf came across them one evening and invited them over to his place.

From there, Rowlf offered a job to Ben with the Muppets so he could provide for Charlie. Ben agreed to the job and used his expertise in lighting to help backstage on Up Late with Miss Piggy. There, he would meet the band, Crazy Harry, Uncle Deadly, and others who would become close friends. He'd also bring Charlie along to work since he couldn't leave her home alone.

Thank you all so much for the love you've given the Zoot cousins! They're so much fun to draw and write for and I'm so happy people have grown to like their characters! I can promise they'll be plenty more cousin shenanigans coming in the future!
