Finally finished the re-imagined designs for the trio in MD:Echo! Yippie! Also my style's just flip flopping all over the place but I guess I'm finally happy with it,,, OTL

Some more context, lore & info behind the cut for you, besties :]]

Uzi - Uzi's body got entirely re-assembled after her own "spooky holo snake crab" Centipede came out when she was shot by the human forces. To not die the Solver took the moment and overtook her body, causing it's true form to come out. Eventually after a fuckton of shenanigans N is able to finally surpress the Solver within Uzi and have her 'return', only to get into crab mode like her mom once did and requiring a new body. Which she got & you can see here! :D

N - N's biggest change is honestly his attire. He got into full dad golden retriever mode and got himself some pants. He be wearing the pants in this relationship /j But the cap's gotta stay on, he's wearing that shit till the end of time and noone can make him do otherwise.

V - V got herself into a rocker era and found her style in it. The touch of pink in her crop top is thanks to Lizzy who basically talked her into wearing it. Also she finally got the budget for pants!! :D Feeling more confident she wears her glasses most of the time and lets her hair grow out (personal headcanon if mine is that the Disassembly Drones have organic hair which can grow thanks to the Solver's re-modelling of them back in the earthly days).

Mah girl K is finally here >:]] She was one of the first Drone OCs I made in my sketchbook when Episode 8 dropped but,,, I hesitated to draw her again until I got better, WHOOPS.

SD-K, or simply just K, was one of the three main Disassembly Drones that drop-landed outside of Outpost 9 in the beginning of the MD:Echo story. Set to disrupt the local Outpost it was T meeting Kira that changed everything for their squad. With their coding overwritten to stay neutral towards Kira K found herself struggling with not being able to fullfill her most favourite task... eating & killing Workers (wow, who would've thought?)

She's quite impulsive and to be frank, killing & eating was her main priority. She enjoyed the act and wouldn't lie about it. Imagine V - but if V didn't have a backstory that slowly eased her into becoming a better person. K has no moral compass or ethical guidelines that drive her. She enjoys being a servant to whatever entity (the Solver) is giving her the opporturnity to be a Disassembly Drone. She knows nothing about her former life and has no interest in figuring it out, unlike X and T.

When Kira & T eventually got together and moved back into the Outpost with X following suit, K was pretty much left outside alone. They knew she'd seize the moment and kill every Worker she sees, so it was a danger to even consider her around the Outpost. This greatly angered K who swore revenge on Kira and the people around her, especially her daughter Evie after learning of her existence.

After the events of Echo K lives on the outskirts of Copper-9 together with Bishop, an outsider from Outpost 4... more or less because she decided she's moving in with Bishop into her workshop and never left. Bishop can't do anything against it :']] Something K greatly abuses because she knows that Bishop could never get her to move out. And she likes annoying Bishop about it.

Nori's design for the MD:Echo AU! More below the cut.

In this AU her backstory had her as a data analyst worker drone who Khan already knew and was close with (opposed to the OG canon where he met her after the core collapse). She was chosen for the Solver testings alongside Yeva in the late 3040s where she eventually escaped after the core collapse.

In 3076 she had her reassembled body for a while now and thanks to story plotTM she managed to obtain the remaining consiousness of Yeva which she stores within her own core/OS for safekeeping... and hopefully, maybe someday, give her a chance at living again too.

If she had a physical age homegirl would be around 50-60 years now which I tried to show with some physical changes like the stress lines below her eyes. Also I know technically Solver Users heal from injuries so "scars" of any kind wouldn't be possible, but I do what I want :V So she has/had scars after her time in the labs. Possibly even from the Sentinels as Nori did try to escape several times.

Summary

While Kira and T are having a break from their prolonged travel to the new Outpost, Nori finds herself in a position where she's unable to rest with the dreadful idea in mind to look through her old drawings again. As they seem to have found themselves a clue a new roadblock occurs which Uzi and N try to get out of their heads with a quick evening flight. If they'd known what this flight might've brought to them they would've had kept their wings closed, that much was clear.

Picture me running in with a bundle of lose papers in my arms, hair's a mess, my braids coming undone, absolutely on the brink of passing out because what the hell is sleep anyway but controlled unconsciousness

I will absolutely drop some lore for them!! Let's go children, it's LORE TIME (read this in your best internal MatPat voice).

Let's start with the Head Honcho because I hate her and want her over segment to be over already /hj Theresa is the combined conciousness of two female scientist sisters who passed through Kira's hands in the early 3040s when Kira was still a test subject at the Cabin Fever Labs. Through yet to be detailed circumstances their combined spirits were tied to the body of a dead Drone that passed in the Core Collapse. Theresa takes on the form of a... nun in some sense.

She's incredibly manipulative, a gaslighter and will absolutely do anything to achieve "humanity" (aka getting her physical bodies back). At this point in the Anti Christ Story the two spirits within her are almost One, and the merging kind of... messed with how she sees other people and the world.

Theresa is the one that brought Kira back to life after the latter perished in the MD:Echo timeline & took her down into the Cathedral with her to slowly use Kira's code to recreate the Solver/Echo in an attempt to get back to her old body.

Nanuk - The Heretic

Which brings us to Nanuk - who was formerly known as "Naomi". She was an actual Drone at one point & looked like most other Workers before she & 2 of her friends were used in the Cabin Fever Labs as test subjects for the Solver. Nanuk was the fourth Drone to ever be tested, which was during a time where the Solver & the means of infecting Drones (and patching them) was fairly "primitive". Naomi passed in these test after having been abandoned by her two friends who stuck together to avoid the harsher tests.

Thanks to this wrath tied to Nanuk her non-physical being (her code) survived, attaching itself to Kira way back when she was still being tested in the Labs as well. Nanuk stayed dormant until Kira's revival all those years later, where she appeared as a ghostly figure to Kira (and only Kira). Picture "Angel on your shoulder" but it's a fucked up, revengeful spirit that looks like this and often times runs around with their limbs detached, bleeding everywhere.

Nanuks messed up design is the result of Kira's scrambled memories, Nanuks own perception & being turned semi-organic by the Solver infection. The fleshparts are actually beneath a transparent material so they're not just haning "out there", no worries :']]

Nanuk kinda "torments" Kira in the beginning of the story, mocking her, belittling her and all that kind of stuff you'd imagine from a "demon" pestering you. But over time, she gradually returns to her old self... more composed, more empathic. Which is actually the reason why Kira even opens up to her more (and why I started shipping them :']])

You see, Nanuks old self, Naomi, was a fairly sweet and caring individual before she was betrayed by her friends. She's from Outpost 4, which is a VERY isolated Outpost in the mountains of Copper-9 (most of the Workers living there were influenced by nordic culture as almost all of the human workers that previously worked there were from Scandinavia/Iceland/Scotland).

And of course... the star of the show, Kira herself!

Kira - The Lamb

Kira's story before being resurrected is fairly simple - she is the second Communication Drone JCJenson ever constructed (the first one blew itself up. Whoops) and was tested in the Cabin Fever Labs since her code is different from that of most Worker Drones. Her Solver infection went normal, but when she recieved the initial patch it corrupted her (unbeknownst to the humans) - not only erasing the Solver's influence, but also her own native code, causing Kira to slowly fall apart and die over the timeline of her story.

In the end of MD:Echo she dies (no spoilers here hehe) and remains this way for a few years until Theresa stumbles upon her body, left where she perished. Being brought back repressed almost all of her memories and Theresa made sure they'd stay repressed. Kira remembers nothing of her old life, not her family (who is out and looking for her when they noticed her coming back Online in the Solver database). She's treated like a holy figure by Theresa and is constantly told she'd be the "bringer of new life" and all this kind of stuff. Religious gaslighting at its finest.

She eventually regains some access over her old memories, witnessing her death, the people in her former life (especially her family) and whatnot - leading to her confronting Theresa about it, which does not go well.

Kira eventually spirals into a psychotic breakdown, unable to grasp who she really is - two identities in one body, similar to what Theresa is made of. But unlike her, Kira actually manages to grasp her identity and make a decision for herself.

Which ends with a sword in Theresa's chest and a burning church for everyone else.
