To everyone's astonishment, the mysterious guy turned out to be chill (at least around Polites), but both Odysseus and Eurylochus are concerned bcs literally NO ONE seems to know what's his deal

Woah, I never thought of that! I’ve only ever watched part of season one years ago, so I don’t remember too much. But from reading, I think you may be very right haha, which makes sense since I remember him being my favorite. Both are kind of an idiot and a little (a lot) girl-crazy, but somehow also weirdly responsible.

A good example would be that I imagine Liam being the one to drive Henry and Drew most of the time, and he just sounds like such a tired Mom when he tells Drew for the millionth time that no, he is not going to go more than five over the speed limit and risk a speeding ticket just because they’re two minutes late. And then begs Henry to stop messing with the radio for five seconds (Henry waits six seconds then goes back to messing with it).

Also, when Henry spits out his lettuce juice on Liam during Jake’s speech over the intercom, we cut back to Liam being clean of it very soon after. That’s not enough time for him to go all the way to the bathroom sink and back, but it is enough time for him to take out the wipes he’s forced to carry around because Henry is incapable of not making a mess wherever he goes and wiping it off of his face. I rest my case.

(Also I feel like Henry and Liam would totally reference the infamous jelly donut moment from the Pokémon anime all the time and be like “wow there’s nothing better than a jelly-filled donut” at a food that is. Clearly not a donut. And Drew will look at them like they’re insane while Jake laughs).

Everybody says 2009 Phil destroyed 2009 Dan’s hole but I disagree. 18 year old Dan Howell who was freshly out of a long term relationship with a woman was not bottoming. With the whole things of being more than their respective parents given they didn't really have parents, and also:

And what you hear is not silence, it's just the trees waiting to hear what next you'll hum. I know and love this song already. And in fact I've seen this connection being made before (in the LXGF Discord ages ago), so I've been listening to it with this exact dynamic in mind for a while, haha. Totally, totally agree.

The line about scars being not only about bites but moreso about her wafer scar on her forehead and what that implies about her damned status. And Jonathan saying she's more than that, let her live, even if she thinks she has to die I will never agree.

The harmonizing on "I can hear him break / and he doesn't understand" is both of them about each other and then Mina saying "And I wish that I could take his hand but where I'm going is for me and me alone" being perfect for her wanting to die rather than harm anyone else and not wanting Jonathan to be damned too. Also handholding is such a big thing in Dracula and her wanting to but feeling she can't is a great reflection of the door shut between them. And of course the entire "loved you all along" refrain being a perfect fit to both of them throughout so many moments in the novel, beginning with Jonathan in the castle right up to Mina writing in her diary that her last true thoughts will have been of him.

That whole bit about the title, inkpots and her swearing that they'll kneel and plea to a woman if you harm him. That works from Jonathan's perspective about Mina but also her for him, and her being the mastermind behind defeating Dracula when he didn't fear Jonathan... Just. Basically the whole song works beautifully lyrics-wise and that's not even getting into the sound which is such a great great fit for the mood.

Thinking really hard about a few people with an s/o who does colorguard stuff..

I'm in band myself, and often get to watch the competition marching band do their show. The colorguard is mesmerizingly gorgeous- the only stipulation is that you have to be in band prior to starting marching in order to do it.

I think Vil would appreciate it for how graceful the art of the swirls and waving of the flags, also combined with the person needing to already be playing an instrument prior. I think he'd find the effort in itself the most appealing part of it.

Rook just finds everything beautiful, I don't doubt he'd be singing praises for a colorguard participant endlessly, regardless of whether or not they're romantically involved.

Octatrio are the ones I think about a lot regarding this. The waving of the flags must really closely resemble fins swishing and swaying with the water and I think they would find it so fascinating and alluring in their own ways each.

This is in no way a request for writing [not to deter you from treating it as such if you wish to], but I just needed to air this out because I've been thinking about it so much lately.

okay so i know for a fact this is only here because of the shuffle option. this song is in one of my playlists, i think?? but, like, i don't remember i ever made an effort to listen to it individually. just from briefly listening into it now i'm already annoyed. apparently, when listening on shuffle to artists like phildel, this is the only other song available (rolling my eyes until they fall out of my head and into a crack in the floor where the monster under my bed eats them)
