UIデザイン変遷 2025/03/26

またまた、お久しぶりです。

過去ログ見ると、およそ1年半に1回しか進捗投稿してなくて、申し訳なく、わりと自分に絶望してます。が、自分としては依然として諦めるつも��も毛頭なく、前を向いてちょっとずつやっている感じです。

さて、ようやく見た目の上での進捗っぽいものを用意できました。メインとなるバトル画面のUI構成です。といっても、まだデザイン段階なので、動かしたりブラッシュアップするのはこれから。

ゲームって、出来上がったものだけを見ても「こんなのすぐ作れそう」と思われてしまう側面があります。でもそれは、「そこに至るまでの試行錯誤・取捨選択」の膨大な作業があったうえでの話なんですね。もちろん、ユーザーさんには関係ないのですが……ただ現実としては、そこが一番創作で苦しく、楽しいところです。

このUIデザインの変遷を見てください。

1枚目の画像は2016年（！）の動画で出していた実際のもの。

2枚目は、そこからデザインソフト上でアレコレ試していた2020年版（5年前！）。

3枚目は、2020年の12月ごろにUnityで仮組みをした時に実験したもの。上下の黒帯無い方が良いんじゃないか？という疑念が高まっています。

4枚目、2024年の11月にUIデザインを刷新したものです。

なぜここで4年も経ってるのか、また同じ事やり直してるのか、というと、前回お伝えした通り忙しかった事もあるんですが、本作的にはゲームデザインの最終見直しをして、コマンドやキャラクターの定義を土台からしっかり決めました。これがあった事で、今までUIとゲームデザインが相互に揺れていたのが、後はUIを固めるだけの状況になったんです。

これをデザイナーの友人などに見せて「上下の黒帯消すかどうか迷ってる」と相談したところ、「信じて消せ」「試せる事は全部試せ」という天啓を授かり、この3ヶ月ほどで試しまくってたどり着いたのが5,6枚目となります。

……大した進捗ないじゃん、と思われるかもしれません。が、私的には大きな山場を超えた感じがします。ゲームデザインやUIデザインは非常に探索的な作業で、答えが見つかるまで試すしかなく、いつまでに出来る、と自分にも誰にも約束できない感じでした。が、これを超えたことで、少なくともUI実装に関しては着実に進めることが可能な段階に来ました。

この後も、レベルデザイン、音楽、そして物語と、まだまだ探索しなければならないフェーズは来るので、リリース目標を言えるわけではないんですが（でも10年以上経ってるぞこのプロジェ��ト）、納得できるものには着実に近づいているなと思います。

私が年表作るの好きな人間なので、前回からの時系列を報告すると、2024年は読書とかブログ書いたりとか、あとメイクとかめっちゃ頑張ってました。

（メイクはさておき）読書はかなり重要で、これまでの人生であまり本を読まなかった人間なので、ここに来て社会の理解の解像度が爆上がりしました。まだまだですが。物語を作るうえでは大切かなと思っています。

2024/07　ゲームデザインを固めるためにニカイドウさんのゲームデザイン相談室を利用

（ここから仕事が忙しくなり数ヶ月経つ）

2024/10　決定したゲームデザインに合わせてUIの再構成を開始

2024/12　4枚目の状態を作りデザイナーに相談

2025/03　5,6枚目の状態まで試行錯誤
