When we first heard about Kingdom Heart 3 actually being in production, we all thought Sora was going to have an identity crisis over having three hearts inside of him, and making him wonder who he really was and what part of him was really “Sora”. Especially since he had Ventus inside his heart for thirteen years.

Now though...

Holy shit. We were Xehanort all along. 😱 Gods. Xehanort wasn’t even from Destiny Islands. He was born in Scala. We, the player, were friends with Ephemer, Brain, Skuld, Ven, and Elrena and Lauriam... but then get reborn as a crazy old man who-

1) Abuses Ven and forcibly rips the darkness (Vanitas) out of his heart and pretty much leaves him for dead on Destiny Islands, and would have if not for baby Sora’s new heart reaching out and filling the cracks in Ven’s heart with light.

2) After stealing Terra’s body, becoming an apprentice, and sealing Ansem the Wise away, stealing his name “Ansem” for himself, he conducts experiments on human beings. Project X very possibly (and seeming definitely at this point) being Skuld. Which is the “girl” that Isa and Lea became apprentices for to try and save her.

And 3) Xehanort (as the Nobody known as Xemnas) brings Lauriam and Elrena’s Nobodies to Organization XIII to be empty vessels for the “real” Organization XIII, only to have them sent to Castle Oblivion to be killed off because they proved too close to nurturing themselves new hearts. Then, later, had them act as members for the “real” organization so they were basically hosts for pieces of his heart that he had split up into thirteen parts.

PLAYER IS LITERALLY KILLING/MANIPULATING/ABUSING ALL THEIR OLD FRIENDS LIKE WHAT THE FRICK NOMURA WHY YOU GOTTA HURT US LIKE THIS 😭😭😭
