Dream (Loki x Reader)
Reader has a very unnerving dream about Loki’s brother, Thor, and is nervous about telling him.
If this was any other kind of dream, like the ones you would usually have of Loki, you wouldn’t have been so worried about it.
But the fact was that the man invading your deep sleep last night wasn’t Loki. It was, the very opposite, God of Thunder.
Your mind, you thought, was certainly conspiring against you. While you were quite familiar with Thor, you never thought of him in that particular way. When you met him, you obviously were no stranger to his good looks and charm. For a very little bit you had grown a tiny crush on him, who wouldn’t? Unconventionally enough however, you became more drawn toward Loki once you and him had gotten to know each other.
The story of you and Loki is weird in itself, but no matter, you both had grown fond and intimate with each other. Loki hadn’t imagined himself getting close to a Midgardian of all things, and you were still on edge with his history, but there was a mutual understanding between the two of you that brought you close. Loki had shown significant growth, and you had gone through some personal journey as well.
The relationship was still young however, and there were still things that you questioned yourself about in regards to how everything would work with him. It didn’t help that during the very first night you had shared a bed with him, and had engaged in sexual activity, you end up having an erotic dream about Thor instead.
The fact remains in your mind for the entirety of the morning after, feeling nervous and shameful around Loki. He of course took note of this, and questioned your odd behavior.
“You’re acting rather funny, was last night a bit much for you?” He asked with the biggest and smuggiest grin.
“Oh yeah…you could say that.” You respond a bit humorously. You were scared of telling Loki, unsure of how he would respond to what you went through in your sleep. You two were still getting to know each other and you had the assumption he wouldn’t have taken it very lightly, especially regarding his slight inferiority complex with his brother.
You were also concerned as to why your subconscious had chosen for you to create such scenario in the dreaming world. Thor was certainly a good friend and amazing hero, but your tiny crush on him had disappeared a long time ago. It also wasn’t just something fluffy that you had done with Thor in your dream, it was downright explicit and adult in its nature. And in dream land, you felt every single sensation, causing you to wake up in a sweat.
—
You had felt awful. You and Loki had shared such an intimate night, one that you had genuinely enjoyed. For the first time you and him did the unholy duty together and you both had been extremely satisfied with it. There were soft tender kisses, bare bodies against each other, moans escaping from each others’ mouths. Loki’s charm and attention to detail in the bedroom was too spellbinding for your own good. You remained nervous with what Loki would say or think, but you were also smitten enough by him to forget about it for a few moments.
You stared dumbfound at the Asgardian as he meticulously replaced strands of his hair in a satisfactory position on his head in front of the mirror in your bedroom. Yeah, he could be a bit self-absorbed at times, but he was quite beautiful and alluring. Your mind raced back to last night and how he spoke seductively to you, making you melt in between his grasp. Did you feel lucky? Perhaps. There were still aspects of Loki that you were a bit troubles by, like his tendencies to cut first ask questions later. This didn’t mean however that he hadn’t changed.
“Do humans often stare rudely at others? Stop it, you’re being strange.” He told you, peering over at your staring reflection.
“That’s quite the change of attitude in comparison to last night Loki.” You retorted.
“Maybe so, doesn’t mean that you have to be staring at me so intensely.”
When Loki had first met you, he honestly had no interest or care in getting to know you. You were just another small Midgardian who was too fragile for their own good. Too simple minded, and he was completely out of your league. His standards of beauty were also quite different. The people of Asgard were always taught to appear regal and otherworldly. You on the other hand, were quite plain looking to him.
But for some unknown force in the universe, Loki had become attracted to you. Not necessarily in appearance but in your manner of being and in your interactions with him. Small details such as you twiddling your fingers when you’d speak to him, as if you knew your words had to be carefully chosen around him. Things like you asking him to show you some sort of spell or illusion, for the sheer curiosity and praise of his abilities. Things like trying on his helm and cape, pretending to be him, much to his dislike. Loki thought you were a pest, certainly, but you were the only one who went out of their way to actually speak to him. Over time, your constant attention towards him would affect him; back on Asgard, he received plenty of praise and recognition before things went downhill, but for a human to? Especially after everything? Well, you were interesting to say the least. — You prepared some warm tea for the both of you a few minutes afterwards in your kitchen. Remaining silent, you bit your lip in contemplation of whether it’d be good to tell Loki or not. I mean, here I am making tea for him like some house wife already. I suppose I should…
Loki sighed heavily as you became lost in thought, noting how quiet and stiff you had become. “Alright, so when are you going to tell me? You’re being awfully quiet, which is quite rare.”
You tensed up slightly; it sure was hard to hide things from him wasn’t it?. It would come out one way or another, you reassured yourself. Either way, you knew you couldn’t lie to Loki. He’d catch you on your BS quicker than you’d know. “It’s not a big deal really, I just…well last night after we knocked out, I uh, had a suggestive dream..“
“Well we did have se-“
“With another man.”
Loki stared puzzled at you, mouth slightly agape. You grabbed onto the wall next to you, ready to sprint for dear life. To your surprise, he chuckled.
“Oh, is that what it is? Is this why you’ve felt distant since we woke up?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier.” You tell him extremely relieved. How wonderful, you thought, he actually had taken it very well and maturely.
“Don’t be sorry,” Loki said with a genuine smile on his face. “Alright then, whose the man I should murder today?” He asked you as he whipped out his bright daggers on both hands.
“No, no, NO! Loki!” You waved your hands in front of him frantically, panicking at the thought of a full on Asgardian battle happening on the block.
“I can’t have another man invade your thoughts,” he told you sternly. “That duty belongs to me only. And I will not be beaten by some pesky mortal man. Now who is it?” He asked ferociously as he twirled his daggers between his fingers.
You face palmed, knowing you had to say something before he went on a rampage. “Loki-“
“Is it the soldier? I realize he’s been getting too friendly with you-“
“It was your brother Loki, Thor,” you sighed heavily. “You’re going to give me an aneurysm I swear..” “Thor?” Loki asked softly. He put his daggers away, staring silently at the floor.
You looked up at Loki, now seeing his expression change from a confident immortal god to a self-defeated man. His charisma and energy certainly went down, and this was the last thing you expected of him. He was quiet for a moment, pulling in the awkwardness of the scenario.
“Hey, Loki. Are you…”
Yearning eyes moved up, looking into yours. “Are you more attracted to him than you are to me?” The question resonated heavily in your heart. “Is that why you dreamed of him rather than me?”
You shook your head violently. “No! It was just a dream Loki! And I’m the idiot for hiding it from you like it was such a huge deal. It just happened, I can’t control what I dream of. But I can honestly tell you that isn’t what I want.”
“Hmm.” Loki crossed his arms in deep contemplation, as if he was determining if what you said was the truth of the matter. You were being genuine, knowing very well Loki was able to know if you were lying or not. “What is it that you want then? Forgive me but, it is rather confusing to hear this after I pleasured you last night.” You cringed a bit at his wording for sex. “Well, firstly, for you not to speak like that about sex, it’s weird. And secondly…” Loki stared at you, raising his eyebrow, motioning you to answer him. ”Secondly, you know very well that you’re the one I want. Last night was very special for me, y’know? It was the first time I got that close to you, and I liked it a lot!” The enthusiasm in your voice made him smirk. “So please, don’t think any more of it. Dreams are dreams, what happened with us last night was more real by far.” Loki huffed, letting his tense shoulders relax. “Don’t worry I believe you. Hard to imagine something like that after seeing you so worked up about it.” Amazingly Loki was a pretty understandable guy. “Still, I cannot allow for that to happen, especially after I pleasured you so.”
You cringed again at his wording of pleasure. “So, you’re not mad?” You asked him sheepishly.
“It is a little…unnerving to hear that my brother has done that to you in your dreams. Which means that I will have to simply take you to bed once more to fully satisfy the deepest…pit…of your mind.” He pulled you in towards him, feeling your face heat up with his warm voice.
“Oh, well…you’re doing a very good job now.” You added while looking at his lips. Loki fully noted this and went in for a smooth one on your lips, making the tip of your toes tingle in delight.
