Happy 2017!

HAPPY NEW YEAR guys! I know, it’s been a while. 2016 was an interesting year. There were good and bad experiences and then there were things I was not anticipating. I learned a lot and now I put them behind and start to focus on 2017. Setting goals, dreams, and wishing for an amazing year. 

One of my goals this year is to blog more - there’s so many things I want to share with you!

Let 2017 be the year you reach your dreams whatever they may be. Wishing you all a wonderful new year full of adventure, love, health, and happiness!

Queen of the Tearling! It has a strong female lead, great writing (and believe me I'm picky), no rape tropes as backstories, and I'm pretty sure it had a good ratio of female to male characters. I don't remember a lot of blood and gore for this trilogy so I think you should be safe!

I actually heard really bad things about Queen of Tearling. I have it, but I really no longer want to read it because all the bad things I’ve heard come from people whose reviews I really trust. Like I’ve read some reviews that tell me that I’m gonna hate just about everything about this book... like the fact that being ugly means you have no worth in this world? And that the world building is shit.

Oh! Also the Graceling Realm Series by Kristin Cashore. AMAZING series and I think everything I said for Queen of the Tearling applies to this series as well.

I actually really disliked Graceling. Like it made me so angry. I just... I don’t care about that series at all.

My life lately

How are you guys enjoying the weekend? Here in LA, it’s getting hotter every minute. The heat and working long hours during the week put me in a mood of doing absolutely nothing even though I constantly have to make decisions on models and props for the shoot on Tuesday. It was a rough week, but it made me realize that I know more than I give myself credit. All the experience I had over the years built me. I have everything I need to move forward tomorrow. 

While it was good to recognize that, still it was stressful working 15 hours a day. One thing kept me going was dreaming about my next trip in October. I don’t have much time to do any research yet and I have to book my tickets soon, but just the idea of seeing my friends and visiting places I haven’t been kept me going. 

The finishing line is really close. Soon I will have time to share few more places I visited in Korea and Cambodia with you guys.
