#I don't suppose they were trying to take a selfie but because front cameras weren't #invented yet they couldn't tell if they were properly within frame or not?#There were also paper plate dolls of them! #Daredevil Born Again #Karedevil #Karen Page #Matt Murdock #ddba spoilers #Daredeviledit #Daredevil Spoilers #Not Revolution #GIF set #Mine #SEE they really needed to indicate that what happened to Foggy wasn't just a way to f**k Matt up and make Karen move away.#Maybe spend a minute on paperwork submission shots. An email. A brief text. Have Foggy excitedly brag to Matt and Karen that he has #something to show them tomorrow morning that is going to blow their minds #But no. They just expected that people would hang in there waiting for a point.#I have always loved the mystery solving aspect of this show and so I personally felt very disconnected with everything #for most of this season. So to just bring this up in the last 2 episodes feels a bit late.#But I do love them getting their sleuth on together. And I guess it makes sense if things changed now because Karen's back.#Like her departure paused everything and her arrival back is just as everything hits a new gear.#Matt wasn't meant to work this all out on his own.#I still think it wasn't worth Foggy's life but it's an interesting plot piece.#And I like Matt hyping Karen up at the beginning. Like no duh she's good at finding things - she was a reporter.#Matt should really invest in a coat so he isn't wandering around dressed like Daredevil in places that likely have cameras.#I'd say he could have borrowed one from Frank but... now I'm picturing that conversation and that seems a little farfetched.#Frank has like two outfits I doubt he has a coat he can lend out.#(The new gif limits are crazy FYI. I haven't done much giffing in years so it's so weird not trying to keep everything to less than 3MBs.)

Pelipper mail: Mx. Kalani.

They're barely conscious-- strange, perfectly circular bruises dot their arms, and a slightly older one blossoms in the crook of their elbow. Hair askew, rashes on their skin from the abrasion of tiny hooks on the skin of the malamar, bound hand and foot with tape and curled into a rather uncomfortable position.

But they're here.

A video is attached:

[It shows Irene in her room with Byte, typing something onto her computer. A knocking sounds from the door. Irene sighs, before getting up and opening the door.

“Yes, I’m alive.” Irene says to the person behind the door. “You know, you don’t need to keep checking in on me.”

“After what you’ve pulled yesterday? Forgive me if I’m a tad bit paranoid. Also I’ve uh… brought food, if you want some.”

“Thanks, and yea, sorry about that.” Irene allows the person in, it’s the same guy seen in the last mysterious camera video. He’s holding two packets of bread, alongside a cup of coffee. He sets the coffee down on the table, before passing Irene one of the two packets of bread.

“It’s not your fault, though I have to admit that I’ve been a bit jumpy since…”

It was then Byte made a noise of concern. A portal appears out of nowhere, a pelipper flying out and dropping Kalani on the floor before disappearing.

The two (conscious) people in the room scream.

“KALANI?! OH, OH SHIT I SHOULD GET A MEDIC—“

“BUT YOU ARE A MEDIC?!” The other guy in the room looked absolutely terrified.

“Right! Right, I’m on it!” Irene rushes over to Kalani to give them a basic check up. Byte flies over as well, a slight whirling noise could be heard as the porygon2 started up a couple of scanners.

“Was… was that pelipper mail?! It could do that?!” The guy looks over, still panicking and clearly at a loss.

“Yes, be it fortunate or not, this is the reason they’ve been missing from the center for the past couple of days.” Irene checks in on the scans, letting out a sigh of relief. “Thank god, they aren’t in any critical condition.”

“Wait a second, I thought them being missing was due to the whole shadow exploration business?”

“Oh,” Irene looked genuinely taken aback by that.

“Oh shit, I completely forgot about that part… Cover our backs if a supervisor asks?”

The other guy’s eyes widened. He was rendered speechless for a second before finally being able to force a couple of words out.

“O-of course I will! But would you mind explaining all this,” he gestures to the room. “To me later? I wouldn’t tell, I promise.”

Irene takes in a deep breath. “Sure, ok. At this point I’m pretty sure I owe you quite some for all this… bullshit.”

“Alright, cool, now uh… medical attention?” The guy asks, eyeing Kalani.

Irene nods, taking in another deep breath. “Medical attention, after I switch off the account’s pelipper mail.”

“You could have switched it off this entire time and you didn’t?!”

“Look, Kalani needed a way back, and none of us had any idea that this would happen. Heck pelipper mail even saved their life once.” Irene quickly punches in a couple of commands into the computer as Byte shapeshifts themself into a stretcher of sorts.

“I have way too many questions, but I suppose those would have to wait.” The guy was already trying to gently move Kalani onto Btye.

“Alright, done.” Irene pulls back from the computer before helping the guy move Kalani onto her pokemon.

Byte lifts off the ground as soon as they were done, floating between them.

“If anyone asks, say a shadow did it.” Irene grabs ahold of a handle her pokemon has provided her with.

“You got it.” The other nods before they move out of the room.]

The video ends there.

AU where Mando— lethally efficient bounty hunter and detective— searches for a Jedi teacher for the kid post-Season 1, but all of the ones he finds aren’t in a place where they can train the kid, so he either takes their advice looking into locations that used to be important to the Jedi or he continues searching for them through other means

Thing is though, he… keeps finding more Jedi. None of them are the right choice to train the kid, but it slowly, steadily becomes apparent to those he’s found and the people he’s talked to that this Mandalorian has found a dozen Jedi within the span of a year and he’s got leads on several more? Any Jedi who escaped during Order 66, any Force sensitive who received training afterwards however partial or complete that may be, any of those who’ve connected with Quinlan Vos or others through the Hidden Path, children now grown who were at one time abducted by Inquisitors and bounty hunters, even ex-Imperial Force-sensitives themselves—

This Mandalorian bounty hunter has somehow accidentally located more Force-sensitive people himself than anyone has in years. Nobody has any idea how he’s doing it (“You just do the work,” he says dismissively, assuming they’re asking how he finds people in general) and when they realize that he knows very little about the Jedi at all, only recently familiarizing himself with the Force and its different followers, they’re even more baffled because how? And then he’s talking about locations that have provided clues through other means, codices and cave drawings and long-lost temples and did he just say he found a cave of crystals?? On a planet nobody’s ever been to or has ever been considered a nexus of the Force? Just who is this guy?!

Is some of it influenced by the kid somehow being able to zero in on locations across the galaxy that may house former Jedi? Do they happen across more holy sites like the henge on Tython that provide answers or directions? How many Force-related experiences has this guy had that he’s entirely unaware of because he has no basis for comparison and figures “The galaxy is full of all kinds of unexplainable phenomena, how am I supposed to know if it’s the Force. Also didn’t one of you just say it surrounds every living thing and connects the universe together, couldn’t ANYTHING be because of the Force at that point”

People are finding old friends and allies and mentors (and enemies!) and connecting with one another for the first time in over two decades and it’s all because this one, regular, entirely non-Force-sensitive guy with a very adorable Force-sensitive child have somehow managed to be the connecting thread between them all

(Or even better, maybe very few of them know how many other Force-sensitives he’s found or made contact with and it isn’t until some inexplicable upcoming two-part finale battle where he recruits all of his new allies to help him fight that they all show up and realize they’re not as alone as they thought.)
