Imagining Kuai Liang is searching through old, abandoned shrines/buildings and finds wand. And with him being dragon, just oh, new thing to add to the hoard (because I think he likes uniques and trinkets and knowledge). And when his magics make contact with the wand, WALAH his frenemy (?) Hanzo the shinigami appears ✨

I feel like Phobos would need some sort of charisma to achieve what he created with Project Nexus and to have people continue it after his death. I don't think fear is a good motivator in Nevada. He explicitly doesn't fully grasp the Machine and the Employers, but I feel he once had genuine conviction in seeing Nevada prosper. But that quickly warped into seeking power to elevate himself to where he could have Nevada in his own hands.

If you've dehumanised existence to the point of it being merely a tool, coupled with seemingly having "control" over the most powerful and integral plane of existence (the Other Place; think of it like. we found out Hell is real and we can harvest power from it), AND you directly entertained powers greater than yours, it'd definitely uh. well definitely warp a person if they didn't have the strongest moral convictions.

Obviously, this whole project was brought about because the Employers wanted something (most likely for the people of Nevada to work out how to make clones for them; I imagine the Machine can't exactly "create life"), but there must've been a reason they chose Phobos, on top of him being a G01 Nevadean.

Speaking of, that would make Phobos very old... makes me wonder if he's slowly cultivated people/settlements under his 'banner'. What that banner would be I'm not sure. Maybe he always had a gut feeling that there was something 'more' to existence, that there were powers unseen throughout all of Nevada.

Considering he's a G01, maybe he was one of the first to encounter the potential to come back from the Other Place. Hmmmm.

After struggling for like a week, i finally finished making my son!!! He is not well put together because some things just refused to click in place or slide on fully. It was so frustrating bc i would try to get it to work and it'd hurt my hands and I cannot afford an hand & arm pain flare up this summer. BUT NOW HES DONE!!!! LOOK AT HIM!!!

Anyway now I gotta figure out what to do with his box LMAO

I don't have a name.

I used to have one, and a lot of people would like to know what it is.

Some call me Trilby, and as a name it suffices.

I've been called many things.

A burglar, a hoodlum, a criminal...

I prefer to think of myself as a gentleman thief.

And tonight, I've something potentially very rewarding in store.

My fence phones me in the middle of the night and asks if I know about DeFoe manor.

Apparently the last of the DeFoe line has died without heirs, leaving all the family values up for grabs.

The lawyers have got the place locked up tight, of course, but that's never stopped me before.

And the place is, of course, deserted...

Yes, this should be a painless and rewarding evening's entertainment.

- 5 Days a stranger Intro.

20 years ago on this same day 5 Days a Stranger was released, the first in the four game series that is Chzo Mythos, the series that got me into horror games and one of my favorite videogame series in general, I discovered this game way back in 2014 thanks to Patron L's let's play, and like to come back to replay it as well as it's sequels every few years.

They are really great, completely free, and coud run on a toaster, I'll leave a link to the post I did a few years back recomending the games for anybody interested as I also link them there.

The original idea was to mix both images into one, but I didn't like how the cut looked and also it kinda makes it look like the fire part happened first due to being on the left, which isn't the case.

The first image is of course the Iconic tittle screen, changed the mountains in the back, added more shadows to the mannor and less to Trilby, widened the space since I think it looks better, and changed the doors to the ones you actually see in game.

The second image is of course of the ending cutscene as it pararels the tittle screen, added a bunch of police cars as well as Jim, Niccole & the Policeman from the close up cutscene, completley reworked how the fire, the windows and the door look & added a little John DeFoe easter egg. Honestly this is my favorite of the two, I think the fire came out really great, even if the glow looks kinda bad.

FINALLY DONE! This diamond painting has been a pain from start to finish!

The original image had too many gradients so the pixel render came out terrible. So I went in and homogenized the colors so there wouldn't be quite so many. That took several days of pixel work.

Then when I sent it off to the diamond painting company I last bought a custom from (which came out amazing) the render they sent back was terrible.

First one I sent out after changing the colors ⬇️ Hard to see on this one but the background was alternating red and purples and a lot of the colors are alternating as well

Here's a couple other versions, with revisions in between to try and fix the issues they were having:

And here's the final one I went with that had the minimal amount of issues (supposedly):

Despite having borders in the image the diamonds didn't match up with those colors and I had to figure out what to use for the border lines myself, opting for a color that was darker than the one it borders. On top of that several of the colors didn't match what was shown. That Peachy color for the skin? Yeah no, they sent me this light pink color.

Like...What is this? This pink color doesn't look anything like the color on the image, wtf. Bag on the left is what I used, bag on the right is what they supplied.

I only managed to finish this with leftovers from my previous diamond painting :/ which thankfully had some skin tone left over and it was enough.

The last step for this is to coat it in like 4 layers of glossy mod podge (watered down a bit) before I try to frame it. Which uhh I don't have a frame for it yet, I don't think.
