hm, what fish scares me most... probably something from the deep sea honestly, those things are Weird but also Cool. some of them look really badass but also creepy

snails? I Love Snails. they’re cute, they’re fun, they make Great pets honestly. I had some common native snails for years and they were very good little friends.

redcap: when did you get into your current biggest hobby/interest?

mmm currently my biggest interest is earrings n i got into it fairly recently? maybe a few months. when i first made an instagram i followed @/feeeeya (shes on tumblr too but im too shy to tag her lol) n i got kinda obsessed with the gaudy jewelry and earrings and how casually she wears them. ive got a bunch of drop/hanging earrings, 1 pair of hoop earrings, n a bunch of little studs. my mom has some Nice 80s/90s earrings but i cant find them ahxhdhdh i Want them theyre chunky n brightly colored

hydra: do you collect/have a lot of anything?

a buuuunch of dried flowers. also glitter pens. school supplies. barbies (not collecting per say but i have a ton from when i was younger. like 200+). postcards my friends send me. not much else tbh. i DO have a lot of scarves but thats bc i wear all of them lmao

siren: favourite genre of music?

ooo ok idk if this is a genre but currently im obsessed with the artist In Love With A Ghost and its like. mundane noises mixed with some music??? its calming n helps me focus. i also like jazzy beats. the ledgend of korra soundtrack(s) are rlly fun for me lol

The Hero's Journey

A digital graphic art made for my MYTHPOP (Mythology and Popular Media) class. It depicts stages of the Hero's Journey in the film Real Steel premiered last 2011 and the Biblical story David and Goliath from the book of Samuel.

Real Steel is a film set in the near future that focuses on the evolution of Robot Boxing. It stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, and other excellent actors. One of the center points of the movie is the developing bond between father Charlie Kenton (Jackman) and Max Kenton (Goyo).  David and Goliath is a story found in the book of Samuel in the Bible. It revolves around the battle of the small yet strong-willed David and the large yet arrogant Goliath. David's faith and respect for God gave him strength to take a stand against the Philistines, especially to Goliath for insulting the Lord. Toward the end of the story, David triumphs and brings honor to his family and to Israel. He also received great wealth and the hand of the King's daughter in Marriage.

I chose these two stories because they have similarities in the sense of being someone small but with good principles and triumphing over someone bigger yet with an arrogant personality.

I did not include the "Return" stage of the Hero's Journey because both stories did not have that type of content.
