Trama: "La Padella affamata" è un piccolo e squallido ristorante cinese che sorge proprio di fronte al miglior ristorante cinese coreano, Il ristorante dell'hotel a 6 stelle "Giant". Chil Seong , il proprietario del "La Padella Affamata" ex malvivente, e appassionato del filosofo Nietzsche, ha aperto il piccolo ristorante solo per aiutare i suoi ex scagnozzi a rifarsi una vita onesta. Seo Poong è un talentuso chef del ristorante dell'hotel "Giant" che grazie a lui ha ottenuto 2 stelle Michelin ed è diventato un hotel a sei stelle. Il ragazzo però è osteggiato dal Presidente della società che gestisce l'hotel (che ha una tresca con la moglie di Poong) e dal capo chef, che non vede di buon occhio il talento del giovane.Sae Woo, è una ricca e spensierata ragazza, in procinto di sposarsi. Le vite dei tre protagonisti si intrecceranno dando vita ad una storia d'amore più calda dell'olio sfregolante dentro ad un wok sui fornelli.
