Haters are just confused fans, and Ginzo proves it.
Tumblr media
Poor Inspector Nakamori, he started crying in front of thousands of people because he couldn't believe that his greatest enemy had kidnapped someone.
Hahaha, Aoko, I know you admire your dad, but I don’t think he’ll be too happy that you have a recording of him crying.
Do you think that if Ginzo weren't a police inspector, he would be a fan of Kaito Kid?

Do you think Inspector Nakamori or Aoko might have enemies for "hating" kaito kid?
I was thinking this after remembering a fanfic I read where people believed that Aoko and Kid were in a romantic relationship and people divided into two sides, first the people who loved the ship and second those who hated the thought that Kid had bride and this made me think that canonically in both detective conan and magic kaito, kid is like a kind of idol because we already see that he has many fans who even go to his robberies, I wouldn't be surprised if there is merchandise. which has kaito kid as the main image.
When I thought about that I couldn't help but think that like every fandom, Kaito Kid's would not be saved from having a toxic side which has its hate forums towards Inspector Nakamori or also towards the other police officers who work in the anti-robbery section that He specializes in arresting the Phantom Thief, although I feel that the person who would receive the most hate would be Ginzo since he has been wanting to arrest Kaito Kid for years.
since he only cares about arresting Kid, would go for someone more vulnerable like teenage daughter of the insector, but I feel like those people The desire to bully her wouldn't last long. Because I think Aoko would not be a girl who would hide, I feel if they attacked her on social media at first she would respond but then she would block them and if those people attack her in person they would know the wrath of Aoko's mop.
Although I feel like kaito couldn't help Aoko much either as a child or as kaito kuroba, I feel like he would protect her anonymously by leaving her nice encouraging messages on a fake social media account and defending her from haters who always look for ways to harass her either because he "accidentally" got a magic trick wrong or because on his fake account he defends her from bad comments I know kaito sometimes makes fun of Aoko and inspector nakamori but even he has limits and the people who harass Aoko passed those limits.

What if Aoko was a cupid and Kaito was a boy who couldn't fall in love?
A while ago I read a manga called LOVE-BULLET, which I'm super in love with because of the cupid plot, and while thinking about Magic Kaito, I couldn't help but think of an AU with this plot.
The plot of the manga tells how humans who have never experienced romantic love are reborn, thanks to the goddess of love, as cupids. They have been modernised and no longer use bows and arrows, but firearms.
In this timeline, Kaito Kid is Toichi Kuroba, and Kaito is a child of no more than 5 years old. Aoko's father is still the inspector in charge of catching Kaito Kid. Aoko is a 17-year-old high school girl who dies when she is accidentally pushed down the stairs during a heated argument with a Kaito Kid fan, who has always had a special hatred for her as the daughter of the inspector who won't let her beloved Kid-sama steal in peace. When she wakes up from what seemed like a dream to her, she notices that she has white hair and wings, and next to her she sees a young man who says, ‘Welcome to your first day as a cupid.’
In this headcanon
I put Kaito as a child at the beginning because I wanted Aoko's sleeping time to be 12 years, so that they would both be the same age.
he first people Aoko shoots are her parents. After Aoko's death, Ginzo felt it was all his fault for being such an incompetent inspector: his daughter had died in such a way, and because of this, he threw himself entirely into his work, distancing himself from his wife. Although she knew it wasn’t his fault, she couldn’t help but blame him for their daughter’s death. For this reason, they decided to separate, although, whether intentionally or not, they always found themselves at Aoko’s grave on the anniversary of her death or on her birthday. Their breakup wasn’t dramatic, but rather simple and abrupt. When Aoko shoots them, they begin to have more frequent contact and start meeting in more places, such as restaurants, parks, and cinemas, eventually considering a reconciliation.
How do Aoko and Kaito come to know each other? Well, during one of her missions as a cupid, Aoko is assigned along with her mentor to try and shoot Kaito. Although they thought it would be easy, many cupids who have attempted it before insist he’s a real challenge. Despite the boy’s outgoing and perverted personality, no one has managed to successfully pair Kaito with anyone.
One of the reasons is that, although he appears carefree, he actually carries the burden of being the phantom thief Kaito Kid, which makes any cupid’s job more difficult. For a cupid’s arrow or bomb to work, the person must have as few worries as possible or not harbour strong feelings for anyone else.
The mentor, along with Aoko, accepts the mission, although she initially refuses, as the previous Kaito Kid was indirectly responsible for her death. However, upon reading Kaito’s files, she comes to understand that he is a victim too, since it appears his father was murdered while trying to locate a jewel called Pandora.
To gather more information about Kaito Kuroba, the cupid, Aoko Nakamori goes undercover as a high school student at his school. She’s able to do this by hiding her wings, which makes everyone believe she’s just another pupil. At first, the two don’t get along, as Kaito was always lifting her skirt and speaking poorly of her father. However, little by little, Aoko begins to realise that Kaito can be a very sweet boy, and she gradually starts to get along with him.
Aoko’s mentor is called Mamoru (a name which means “to defend” or “to protect”), and he is a rookie detective who took an interest in Kaito Kid. He worked for a while in the anti-theft division, where Inspector Nakamori was also assigned, although they didn’t get along very well, as Inspector Nakamori insisted that only he would be the one to catch Kid, while Mamoru simply wanted to do his job. However, he admits that, little by little, he began to grow interested in the phantom thief—especially after one night when a group of men in black had Kid cornered, demanding he hand over a gem called Pandora. Mamoru spent months investigating Kid and even managed to speak with him, but one night, while going through his files in his flat, someone shot him in the back. It happened so quickly that when he woke up, three years had already passed (this took place when Toichi was still Kaito Kid). Despite the years, Mamoru remains frustrated that he left his investigation unfinished.
Mamoru joins the mission to make Kaito Kuroba fall in love with the faint hope of passing on his clues alongside his apprentice, Aoko. However, it won’t be easy, as their first priority is to help Kaito fall in love with someone so that he doesn’t end up sharing the same fate as them. And if you’re wondering why, after all his years as a cupid, he never tried to return to life—it’s because when a cupid becomes human again, they completely forget that they were ever a cupid, along with all the experiences they had in that role. That’s why Mamoru never attempted to return to life; he discovered that Kaito was Kaito Kid only after becoming a cupid, along with other things he uncovered while in that state. Mamoru had wanted to try passing on the information he’d gathered by pretending to be human, but he didn’t know how to approach Kaito without seeming suspicious.
Once Kaito grows closer to Aoko, she introduces him to Mamoru, who pretends to be a detective in order to show him the evidence he has gathered over the years about the men Kaito is searching for.
The truth is, I’m not sure how to end this idea, but I’d like it if, after defeating the men in black, Aoko is brought back to life after accumulating enough karma. (Karma is an energy that cupids gather by making people fall in love; if they manage to collect enough, the goddess of love can bring them back to life.) However, this will cause Aoko to forget everything she experienced with Mamoru and Kaito.
This is the scene I imagine happens after Aoko is brought back to life.
This leaves Kaito very confused, as he doesn’t understand why he can’t remember how he gathered information on how to destroy the organisation that killed his father. Moreover, he feels as though he spent a lot of time with someone. The same happens to Aoko when she returns to life; she feels as though something is missing. Upon seeing the news about how, thanks to Kid, a criminal organisation was destroyed, she experiences a mix of joy and nostalgia. As they both walk through the city, they find themselves in front of the clock tower, and it is there that Mamoru shoots them both, thus starting a new love story.
Thank you for your attention. Although the ideas are not entirely clear, I wanted to make sure they didn’t get lost and share them with someone :3

These two give me the impression that when they met their first thought was that "what a strange man/woman."
Although one of my favorite tropes in are childhood friends or enemies to lovers I would like to believe that Ginzo and Midoriko met when they were working I don't know by coincidence of fate seeing Midoriko's intelligence they asked her for help in a theft case or something like that could say that this happens long before kaito kid appeared because as we know Midoriko has already said she doesn't know him and doesn't want to get into Ginzo's work.
One of my mini headcanon I have in my head is that they could be a mild type of enemies to lovers since their first impressions both were not the best in Ginzo's eyes, Midoriko was a woman who got on his case and because of his pride he can't see that she is only trying to help although over time he sees that she is not the type of woman he thought she is the controlling type with airs of grandeur even I would like to think that is why in chapters of the Magic Kaito manga he accepts the help of a scientist, kudo and hakuba reluctantly and asks Kaito for help even though he's just a teenager because of his experience with Midoriko and speaking of Midoriko I wouldn't be surprised if in her eyes Ginzo seems like an intense and grumpy man who only has to do his will but as time goes by she realizes that outside of work he's a sweet man, (no one will ever get it out of my head that she was hurt that Ginzo didn't celebrate her birthday and after finding out about her gift she completely forgot about kaito kid) I also think that if or if the first one to accept that she was in love was Midoriko but the first one to confess it was Ginzo.

I just want to talk about Midoriko Nakamori.
Well I know that thanks to the appearance of Midoriko there have been changes and inconsistencies in magic kaito and this may have divided opinions regarding her and well the truth is I am no exception, mine with her would be somewhat complicated, I mean I don't know. I don't hate her but I liked the drama of a single nakamori and the weight of Aoko not having her only family member present in her life but I also like that she has a stable family and that it is seen that they love each other even though they are both parents somewhat absent, I don't know. Maybe I like it because this marks more differences between Aoko and Ran although both mothers work for justice and we must also not forget that with this there is another adult who cares about Kaito.
And I'm not going to lie to you, ideas come to mind of what she would be like on a day-to-day basis. Since I'm still in favor of Midoriko and Ginzo not being childhood friends and their first meeting being at work.
The truth is that I feel that the one who fell in love first was Midoriko and in her head she was devising plans on how to confess her feelings and she even practiced at home (from what little I could see in the manga, although Midoriko is a very intelligent woman and logic, you can tell she gets carried away by her emotions, I'm 100% sure that if Kid's theft hadn't interfered with her birthday, she wouldn't care about Kaito Kid since it's not part of her job to catch him) But I feel like The one who confessed to him first was Ginzo and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a day or two after he found out he was in love with Midoriko. That is to say, it has been shown that Ginzo can be very impulsive and direct with what he says.
a question, do you think Midoriko is jealous? I think so, I wouldn't be surprised if after her birthday she became curious to know more about that phantom thief that stresses out her husband and in one of those news she saw the news in which Ginzo is seen together with the Princess Ann and couldn't help but tell him:
Midoriko: Gin chan why did that brat kiss your cheek?
Ginzo: D- don't worry, honey, she's just a girl who must be Aoko's age.
Another idea that I like is to think that Midoriko, like Ginzo, forgot about Aoko's birthday, I know, this may contrast a bit with the model mother that they presented to us about Midoriko but the truth is I prefer it that way because it makes her more human Because if Not knowing about a possibly world famous thief, I wouldn't be surprised if he missed your daughter's birthday because of your job. I prefer it this way so as not to take away the weight of how Aoko felt when she saw that one of the most important people in her life and in whom she had the most faith would be there on her birthday, he is not there, although we know that Kaito kept his promise and better manner.
We can say that days later Midoriko together with Ginzo and Kaito have a more private party between the three of them for Aoko.
Another thing I love to think is that Midoriko, like Ginzo, trusts and approves of Kaito, although with Midoriko, Kaito tends to be on guard, meaning it's not that they don't get along, but Kaito feels like he is. Only with Midoriko she could read him like a book while with Ginzo she feels safer since although he is also busy being an inspector she has been able to interact more with him and either because she goes with Aoko to bring him lunch or because of the schedules she has gone to dinner to his house I also think it helps that Ginzo is a little naive.
The truth is, I imagine that they both know about Kaito's feelings and I wouldn't be surprised if Ginzo let them be and wouldn't put pressure on either side because that could make the dinners uncomfortable and I wouldn't want that because it's one of the moments where most He relaxes while Midoriko would be the same but after a while he would be like:
Midoriko: Kaito I know you like my daughter and I support you even though you are taking a while.
and I think Kaito would deny it but it would be in vain and I wouldn't be surprised if after that she made comments in front of Aoko that Kaito is a good boy and things like that until Kaito almost begging her told her to stop.

Do you know now that I think about it, if what Aoko's mother says is true that she doesn't know Kaito Kid, does it also mean that she doesn't know that her daughter was in danger in the Sun Halo episode?
