OH WOULD I EVER

The Murder Mystery AU is well, an AU that takes place in a small town rather than a high school. Everybody knows eachother and alot of community stuff takes place and *GASP!* they are paid above the Californian mininum wage of $16 AND can walk places!! Other than that the townspeople feel as if nothing much happens. Oh and Milton is mayor sadly [Fun fact: When I first got into EAH, the murder mystery au is the first thing I came up with and wanted to write but I couldn’t figure out the plot until uh March]

Their normalcy is interuppted however by shock, horror, and the paranoia that follows when Rumplestiltskin suddenly dies and is discovwred by either Briar or someone else and the police department/Literally just Chase rule it as a murder. Blondie Lockes, an overeagerly ambitious journalist and our protagonist of this tale, begins waking still waters to try finding out the complete and whole truth on her but finds more than one mystery; especially within her mysterious companion, C.A Cupid.

Honestly when it comes to the AU I try to keep myself from accidentally spoiling anything to try retaining the mystery and so far nothing has slipped from what I can tell and only me, Demon, and SilverTheLovebug have access to the doc that has all my notes and character descs but I blanked out the spoilers so maybe I’ll share it with more people for fun lol.

What Demon and I plan to do after all this meticulous planning, is finish all the chapters behind the scenes to avoid 1. Burn out & 2. Dissapointment. Then when we finish that with all the breaks and procrastination in the world, we’ll post the chapters weekly on Thursdays I think. Guess I’ll say a few things to wrap up my ramble here;

•There’ll be a good amount of focus on the Charming Family

•Ginger owns a cafe thats very popular in town and Cedar only visits to stare at the very pretty barista/server, Cerise. And also Ginger makes the most fire cinnamon rolls

-To add; Canonically in the AU, Ginger pays herself barely mininum wage to keep the cafe open and pay Cerise. She desperately needs a very long nap lmao

Dizzie 15: They have their own table at a local cafe, and the workers know them because they get coffee together so often. It’s like,, their love language (getting coffee) atp

Lizzie 7: She has a collection of rocks. They’re either gifted by people, from Wonderland or just pretty in general. She doesn’t actively collect them anymore but used to (also Maddie keeps adding more each time she visits her room).

Bribelle 13: They often go stargazing and make up their own constellations that give them hope of a better future and their chosen destiny together.

Nina 3: She has a billion magnets and a board for them. Everywhere she goes she buys one as a souvenir.

Farrah 7: Her hair is a very special thing to her, and she takes care of it a little too well. She got it trimmed once and Poppy was like 👀👀 what kind of insane ability to care for hair did you get blessed with??

Dexven 11: Holding hands is everything to them. They have their own code for each way of holding, the amount of pressure, different squeezes, etc. You can always see them walking around hand in hand because it’s their way of grounding eachother and signaling their feelings.

Clara: She’s crazy about earrings. Like literally any design, colour, shape or material of earrings and she has a pair.

Nate: i haven’t read the books so i don’t have anything about him atm :’D

and for the backgrounders, i don’t really have any actual hcs for them that i can find, but i’ll have to do a deep dive on them soon anyway!!

i’m not going to lie, i had to look up who Rugsy was-

i never owned a copy of Raven’s Diary so i’m unfamiliar with what happens in that prose. i don’t think i will include him because i have a LOT planned and not enough time to include even more.

Clara and Nate will be included in just about as much capacity as they were in the books, but i might use them in the Neverland arc i’m adding :)))) tehehehehe

i don’t want to deviate too far from the og story but instead expand on it and give more clarity to other characters (ie, Cedar, Cerise, Cupid, Dexter, etc)

the Neverland arc is dedicated to characters i wanted more from, such as Cedar, Cerise, Daring, Darling, Cupid, Duchess and Dexter but i want the secondary cast to be comprised of Backgrounders because our primary cast for this season is secondary characters :)))
