a story about of how Lady Nimue and Sir Pelleas first met!

if you have hard time reading, here's the writings under the cut!

Nimue emerged from her watery lair. Her garments and quills were pristine, and in the dark of the night she was glowing faintly, like a moon. Nimue's rest was disturbed by a visitor.

On the shore sat a blazing creature, covered in heat and flames - a sun at midnight. It resembled a knight kneeling in desperation, engulfed in fire. Her first instinct was to exstinguish the intruder,

but as she saw him closer,

she paused.

The lady studied his armor, fascinated by her unusual guest. His armour was lacking in signs of allegiance, made of dark metal she never laid her eyes upon before. It left her to wonder of his possible origin. Nimue couldn't recognize him as any lord's knight she's aware of.

Is he a knight at all?

The visitor's armour was constructed in a way that would make it a nightmare to wear and to behold - covered in spikes, bent at weird angles, impractical to anyone of flesh and blood. And yet, all she could say was:

"You are beautiful".

Based on a concept piece from the art book! Used it as practice, but I changed up the composition and made it in my style (original under the cut)

Neo, if you don’t mind me asking, what groups of salmonids do you know of? Are they like a tribe thing like the ones I’m familiar with?

🍃 they're large clans that sometimes do runs together

each one is about the size of a city in numbers and the oldest families also have secondary names to separate the larger groups

like our names don't get big enough already with titles being added every time we do something that means a party

separate clans usually get along and have kids with each other like my mom

who's mom is from the Twisting Trap family but left her with her dad

but cus of how many salmonid are in each clan it's rare

family names are more like town names as two salmonids with the same family name are not always related

Pike of the Feast's Fire shares a family name with me but we have no relation other than that

I only call them family names still cus that's what inkfish called it and Im still trying to remember to call it a clan name

I know of

Feast's Fire which inkfish call the main line cohozuna

Metal Teeth which inkfish call the main line megalodontia

Twisting Trap which inkfish call the main line horrorborrous

Golden Fan which inkfish call the main line goldies

and False Bait which inkfish call the main line maws

they're the closest clans to mine and we've done a lot of scrap runs together before this big run

all clans have a lot of salmonids that inkfish call lesser salmonids and most boss salmonids

we call them something similar to

stern

they're smaller and I think the inkfish names are

chums smallfries cohocks fishsticks bigshots flyfish scrapers steel eels and ones I can't remember

inkfish names are weird

the ones inkfish call boss salmonid and king salmonid are usually called something similar to

bows

and I think they're called

cohozuna horrorborus megalodontia goldies mudmouths maws and I can't remember the rest

but other than looks there's no difference

usually bows are clan leaders but there's a lot of stern led clans

usually scrappers that are too little in numbers to have a bow

a long time ago families would have one or two bows and hundreds of stern and would just have kids with any other family they came across
