I had a nerd moment today

So in my German class we were looking at paintings because culture and one of the paintings was The Sorrows of Telemachus

My German teacher first asked: “Who is Telemachus?” I was the only one who raised their hands I simply said: “Telemachus is the son of Penelope and Odysseus, the king and queen of Ithica.” And then he asked: “Why is he sad?” And pointed at me I said: “Hid father hasn’t been home for 20 years.”

I got extremely giddy and excited that I got to talk about The Odyssey :3

Edit: He also said I was the only one to answer the question :3 and thank you Jorge for making Epic which taught me about The Odyssey.

HAHAH! I am now rambling about the new short and the potential worldbuilding that is in it!! >:DD

There are a lil spoilers under the cut kinda...

So I wanted to start by saying that I like how the short showed that there are other sticks with brighter colors. It they aren’t bright neon colors like the color gang…

Speaking of the Color Gang, I have seen people ask why there aren't any sticks with similar colors with some theorizing that sticks will lose there saturation when they get older. But this short seems to disprove this theory. With these two family's right here!

I am instead going to go full nerd and say that the colors have to do more with genetics, which is anticlimactic but it makes since especially if you dive into the complicated world of cat genes. I'm only going to use Calicos for this since cat genes are very complex but when two cats of different colors have kittens they have the chance to "mix together" and become a calico! its more complex then that but bare with me here

But if a calico had kittens the colors used to make em will more then likely split into separate kittens

I think its something similar to this... I also drew these to help me understand this more..

anyway that's basically all I wanted to talk about from this short because I love worldbuilding, and I wanna here some of what you all gathered from this! :))

I’ve been here for a little over an hour today and I’m already having the time of my life because a woman came up to the desk and asked why harpsichords sound so different from pianos. I practically sprinted into our keyboard gallery to show her a harpsichord jack and how it works, and she was really enthusiastic and kept asking more questions, and half an hour later she left with an understanding of:

• how harpsichords and pianos work,

• what materials quills and hammers have been historically made with,

• why harpsichords sound different from modern pianos and why early pianos sound somewhere in the middle,

• why the circle of fifths is a lie and an Ab is different from a G#,

• how this impacts different tuning systems and why different instruments were tuned differently during different time periods and according to different musical ideals and goals,

• what is gained and lost with equal temperament,

• how you technically could have a keyboard with all the different “enharmonic” notes but why it’s impractical,

• how split keys do exist for purposes of having a few common “enharmonic” notes both available or for instances of broken octaves,

• what a broken octave is,

• what a short octave is,

• why a short octave exists and why it was used on harpsichords as well as organs, and

• how the notes available on a natural trumpet are those of the harmonic overtone series and are therefore more limited than, and sound different to, those available on a modern trumpet.

I'll try to make it short but to me they are purely platonic. Yes they are very close friends, I would even go as far as saying soulmates, but platonically. They are rivals and help each other grow, obviously they are so so sooo important to each others character development BUT THEYRE NOT LOVER !!1!!1

And people keep using this quote and saying that it can't be casual... OFC BECAUSE THERES NOTHING !1!

That is totally normal to feel in intense competition when you've been against someone your whole life and pushed each other to the limit just to be close to that person. It's not fucking romance it's a very intense rivalry and if you think it's romantic, you just never had that deep of a connection/rivalry with someone and I wish you'll experience it at least once in this lifetime.

When I played total war warhammer with my friends, everyone started laughing at me because I looked like Sigvald, prince of Slaanesh. Soooo- the new Mercenary Tryouts video came out a few days ago! And it still hasn't left my mind, mainly due to all of these guys making an appearance!

I feel like this is a big deal to me at least, since this almost confirms that Cier exists in the outernet! What is Cier? Well it is a continent where a bunch of sticks canonically live in, made by Hyun! If you want to know more you can look at this playlist! :D

And ima see where this could reasonably be placed in Hyuns Dojos timeline because this is my tumblr and I can do what I want.

Since Gilded is here I’m going to use him as the main thing to determine where this takes place! 

Alright! Since Gilded is actually looking for work, judging by the fact he was interested by the fact he could get payed for fighting, imma say this takes place before the Dragon of Mar (since Gilded is far more stable at the end), it may also take place before Rock Hard Gladiator and vs Oxob since the both of them are there too, and those two stories are canonical back to back. So this could mean it might take place either before or after the Green Eyed Cowboy, this is very notable since its that episode where AvA is referenced.

Now if the content we see in AvAs Outernet is Cier or not, this could be very interesting as it could mean that other interactions with Hyuns Dojo and AvA are on the table.

Now are the continents we see the same? Maybe? I feel it might be too early to say if they are or not the same, there's still a lot we need to figure out, and I feel we don’t have a full understanding of the outernet, like if the outernet we see is just for Newgrounds or its a combination of all art related sites. If Cier is the continent we see in AvA then cool! If not, it might be a separate continent that sticks would usually visit like how we like visiting other countries lol!

Still I feel this has opened a lot of crossover opportunities in the future for both series, and i'm very hyped. :P

ooooh yesss more VHS lore. The devices themselves quite literally need their own computers just to run, as they're constantly tasked to read sensors covering parts of the player's body _and_ run a game at the same time. The consoles went through multiple iterations before eventually being discontinued. However, just about everyone who owns one has cracked it in order to keep using it. As mentioned in a few chapters though, this hasn't been an entirely 'ethical' or 'safe'. Thing. Reports of injuries have been cropping up left and right, with Chapter 6 showing Basil to be one of them. It only gets worse from here.

What to call me? - I really prefer being called stuff like friend or mootie but my name(s) are Abby/Jeremy, either is fine idc.

When did I create TuRose? What is it? - TuRose is a Crackship I created around July/August 2024! I’ve forgotten why. But it’s Professor Turo from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet In a fictional relationship with Chairman Rose from Pokemon Sword and Shield. Idk. Old man Yaoi

Why am I doing this? - idk, but I’m glad I am^^ love all of yall.

What are my boundaries? - Don’t be hateful? Like. Js have basic respect and kindness.

Why are my drawings very unpolished? - I have really bad shaky hands and It shows in my art, as well as my lack of freetime mixed with the want to post as often as possible are to blame

When did I get into pokemon? - I First got into it around 2016 with Black and white but i fell out for a few years, coming back to the game when sword and shield came back, before Leaving AGAIN and coming back around the end of 2023 and I’ve been here ever since

Favorite game? Character? Movie? Pokémon? Band? - My Favorite game is actually not sword and shield, but currently Palworld! My favorite character is of course Hop, My favorite movie is Killer Klowns from outer space, followed by Ebirah, Horror of the deep! And my favorite pokemon is Applin<3 it’s so cute and I love the aspect of it being a gift meaning love. And my favorite band is Sabaton, which is actually peak.

What am I doing with my life? - Trying to collect most of the Hop cards ever printed. And also Learning to be a school counselor.

What are my interests? - I love shin Godzilla, Pokemon and drawing ofc, psychology, Debating, talking about Serious things, World wars, Sabaton History, Hop Pokémon, Dreadnoughts (the ships), Chemical Warfare, war strategies, model building, dinosaurs, sharks, Horror games/Analog horror/just horror breakdowns and card collecting!

What do I dislike? - Black and white (hehe) viewpoints, People who choose an opinion and put down my own opinion (targeted), cars, bridges (especially over deep water:[ scares me), swimming, fishing, seafood, anything involving me being in water past my waist, Hop Pokémon haters, Trans/Homophobic, racism (no freedom till we’re equal, damn right I support it /Ref), People who can’t understand that liking WW2 and appreciating all of the historic advancements doesn’t mean i am a Neo-Nazi, no Hop Pokémon and finally no Hop Pokémon.
