Cutest little Christmas Dwarf Bard/Druid RPG set is done! Soon to be available to purchase @chickenlynerd (nerdychicken.ca). This little Christmas/Santa Dwarf comes in a handpainted Druid/Bard themed box with custom cut foam insert lined with an elegant blue fabric. This set includes a handmade Druid staff and three handmade spell scrolls: Heroism, Disguise Self, and Shillelagh. Funnily enough a Hat of Disguise is an item in DnD and this Fella happens to be wearing just such a hat!! Claude strolled through the forest singing carols to help the trees grow and wondered why he always seemed to distress people with his cheerful exuberance and kindness. He didn’t quite understand why it was such a bad thing to want everyone to be happy. He loved nothing more than to help things grow and bring some small measure joy into the world with his music. He was glad he’d decided to take a page from his cousin Nick’s book and wear a hat of disguise at Christmas time. It was the one time in the year he could really and truly be himself and people actually liked it. So everyone thought he was Nick, so what? More work on the #wip necromancer’s wand. It’s all varnished and now wrapped in leather lace with some dangly feathers. Failed at carving the runes in the box top so ‘fixed it’ by using some long forgotten wood burning skills. Then have them a glowing effect. Cut the foam insert and fabric covering and prepped the two potion bottles that will accompany the wand in the box. General Ourandu is complete! Finished up the General. Pretty happy with him. A little freehand work on the shield, not too shabby. 👍 Here’s his backstory. "A race of elephant humanoids, Loxodons are incredibly formidable warriors. General Ourandu is no exception. He is thoughtful and cunning, fierce and loyal. A warrior's life is all he has ever known. The General holds a reptuation for being calculating, bold and ruthless in battle. He has seen a great many battles and wars in his day, big and small. His duty requires that he lives only to serve and defend his people and therefore exists on the outskirts of his gentle and kind hearted community. He stands ever watchful, eyes open, sword sharp, shield at the ready. One day he will give up this life and retire peacfully to his community bouncing babies on his knees, telling them stories of glory and tickling them until they giggle. Had a bit of time tonight to capture a little video action and a few photos of the completed #wip one of a kind necromancer wand (wand of fear). Comes complete as a set with wand box including custom cut durable foam insert covered in fabric. Also comes with two adorable potions (healing and mind reading) (not real potions, do not drink them). Wood wand box custom stained and varnished with wood burned runes and hand painted glow effect. Wand is made of hand sculpted polymer clay over wood dowel, baked, painted and varnished then wrapped in leather lacing with feathers. Wand and potion stats suitable for use playing in your favourite rpg are découpaged inside the top lid. This would be wicked awesome for #larping! Step 2 in the #wip necromancer wand is working on the skull. I think the carved cracks turned out pretty slick. After this I have to varnish it and then add the leather wrapping and feathers. Then to decide if those runes are going to glow or not and if they are then if they’ll glow amber or purple.
