Next Exam For Foreign Medical Graduates | Next MBBS News
Known as the MCI Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), the Medical Council of India (MCI) Screening Exam is a certificated exam offered by the National Board of Examination (NBE). In order to practise medicine in India, Indian students who have completed their MBBS in countries such as Russia, China, the Philippines, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, or Bangladesh must pass the MCI Exam for Foreign Medical Graduates. FMGE is only open to those who have completed their MBBS degree from a medical school in another country that is accredited by the Medical Council of India. On the MCI website, you'll find a list of foreign medical schools that have been approved by the organization.
A one-year rotatory internship in India is required after passing the MCI Exam for Foreign Medical Graduates. Students who complete this requirement will be eligible for permanent registration with the MCI or State Medical Council in India.
FMGE: Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (MCI Screening Exam) has a similar difficulty level to NEET-PG and is more difficult. MCI exam questions cannot be discussed orally, in writing, or electronically because of the "Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)" that students sign. As a result, students have no access to MCI or FMGE sample questions.
Only on passing the MCI Screening Exam, interns may sit for the NEET-PG exam if they intend to continue their education beyond the bachelor's degree (MD/ MS/ DNB/ Diploma).
NEXT: National Exit Test will replace FMGE and NEET-PG as a common exit exam for MBBS, Indian and Foreign Medical Graduates starting in 2022.
