A fight broke out and what was supposed to be the final meeting to finalize the fate of the peace treaty between witches and vampires would be….

Soarin and Precious fluttered towards their new teammate, Auggie. Auggie’s eyes are narrowed as he put up a barrier of dark magic, while the fairies strengthen his barrier with their own fairy magic. The heroes, Jake Long, Nigel Thrall, Tormenta McKnight, and the students of Phoenix Academy, Sarah, Stella, Ashanti, the fairies (Soarin, Precious, and Elsa), Marquise, Bastille, and Ivy are split up to ensuring no lives are lost, whether they are witches and vampires. The ice fairy/mutant hybrid named Elsa Drake couldn’t believe her eyes when she caught the attention of one of the vampire leaders, who participated in the vampire coven war after the peaceful meeting turns into a disaster. Elsa scream and blast a shards of ice. The ice shard torn his shirt to reveal, Clan Akkaba Symbol/the Mark of The Apocalypse. Elsa’s eyes are widened in disbelief. “Impossible,” Elsa thought to herself. The leader of the vampires, Hamilton Slade snarled and glares at Elsa. “Crap!” Elsa thought, she flees. She cannot defend herself from him.

Just as she was about to flee instead of attacking, couples of vampires lunged at her to dogpile her. Elsa freezes as many as she could, but her mana is running out. Her fleeting life flash in her eyes, and everything is going slow for her. Wondering if Elsa will die and resurrect back to Krakoa or turned into a vampire, but then be killed anyway because she is a fairy. Suddenly huge vines sprouting to the ground, separating Elsa from the horde of vampires.

“Get away from her!” Ivy shouted from afar. She rolls her wheels and launch herself from the gravity magic platform she constructed. Ivy form a small portals, throwing at the vampires torning their fleshes and vaporize their skin by the sunlight. Ivy halted herself to cast a big portal to hop into it. As the portal close, another portal opens for Ivy to reappears and take Elsa with her.

Elsa is pulled into Ivy’s portal, and is now out of the battlefield, and instead an temporary medical bay and evacuation site. Elsa breathing heavily then pulls Ivy to give her a big hug. Her body is shaking as she cannot believes what she has witnessed when taking part of this. She thought she could handle this.

“What were you thinking Elsa?” Said Ivy, comforting the young ice fairy mutant, rubbing circles around her back. “You can’t fight off an elder vampire on your own…. I am just glad you’re safe.”

Just then one of Ashanti’s medical droid, programmed by her cyberpathy, arrives at the scene, seeing Ivy with Elsa. “Can you take Elsa someplace to rest, she is distress at the moment.”

The medical droid beeps and take them to a cot for Elsa.

Later on, when everything is clear, the heroes are rounded up, some safe and others wounded, Elsa emotionally recover, she told the heroes and the vampire leader who survived the attack, Mamé, alongside a few of her members on what she found. Shocking everyone.

“This vampire is bad news! He is distant relative of the mutant, Apocalypse!” Said Elsa/“He is affiliate to Dracula!” Said Nigel.

Calvin is shocked by the informations from Ivy’s father and Elsa.

“YO, WHAT?!? My great-grandpa know this arrogant vampire?!?” Said Calvin.

Elsa shook her head. “No… there is actually another person, fellow civilian. The supreme ruler and the world's most powerful vampire! Formerly known as Vlad the Impaler. The Dracula, fellow civilian.” Elsa corrected Calvin timidly.

Mamé processing this informations in her head. That means her and Calvin’s coven may not be safe at all because of the war. She has finally rebuilt her coven, and now there is an obstacle that will destroyed what she built. All she have worked for, will be in ruined if she don’t do something about it. Protecting her coven family is her main priority. Mamé then turns her eyes to see Calvin, whose is distraught. She wonders what is he thinking right now.

‘First the Shadownapper and now the Slade Coven…. These fairies are not safe in Townsville.’ Calvin thought to himself as an image of Paris is in his head. Calvin’s eyes turn red. ‘Not on my watch.’

He did not care about the bad blood between vampires and fairies. When Paris came to his life, he have thought there would be no one who would accept him for who he is, beside his parents, and a reason to becomes a better person. He values her existence.

Meanwhile, in Sarah’s mind begin to wander as the mystery is getting deeper and deeper, because now there is a possible chance that the feral vampire are also X-Gene mutants, turned by Hamilton and his very own vampire clan, are the ones responsible for the death of the faewitches. This is now complicating things. But now is not the time to thinks about that now…. The peace treaty between the witches and vampires has been broken, and worst of all there is no sign of Tormenta. Where could she be?

Write a piece about rival vampires

In recent days, the French president, Emmanuel Macron, has capitulated to the far-right anti-immigration agenda of Marine Le Pen. In July, in an electoral pact with the left, he sought a firewall against her. Now he has turned rightwards, giving her an effective veto over prime minister Michel Barnier’s new government.

By the end of the month, the Austrian Freedom party (FPÖ), founded by two former members of the SS, Anton Reinthaller and Friedrich Peter, is expected to form an anti-immigration,pro-Russian government. It will cement a new hard-right axis across Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, and more importantly, Italy, where step by step the far-right prime minister, Giorgia Meloni (who met Keir Starmer on Monday), is accused of taking control of the press and the judiciary.

The far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party has just won the east German regional elections in Thuringia and came second in Saxony. This is despite Germany’s domestic intelligence agency listing the AfD in three states as an “extremist” organisation, reflecting concerns about the Holocaust denial and links to far-right political violence of some of its members – and their invoking of banned Nazi slogans, for which the party’s Thuringian leader, Björn Höcke, has twice been found guilty in German courts.

But while Germany’s centre-right opposition leader, Friedrich Merz, who last year supported coalitions with the AfD in local government, has now refused to enter any national or regional coalition with the AfD, he has come closer to much of its anti-immigration agenda. He now wants “to talk about the issue of repatriation” of existing residents.

Now Höcke is openly mocking what he calls the “dumb firewall” against him, forecasting that it will not last. And last week the German coalition government reacted to the AfD’s success by tightening control of its bordersin an effort to curb irregular migration.

Another lurch rightward came with the decision last month by the Dutch health minister, a member of Geert Wilders’ far-right Freedom party, to refuse requests from African countries for urgent help in the fight against mpox, even when the Dutch stockpile runs to 100,000 boxes of unused vaccines – many of which will pass their use-by date next year.

The spectre haunting Europe is not communism, as Karl Marx once wrote, but far-right extremism. And not much is left of the cordon sanitaire that was to keep out the far right. Europe now has seven governments with hard-right parties in control or in coalition, with Austria likely to be next, as once-immovable barriers to contamination are swept aside by centre-right appeasers.

“Breaking point” was the slogan on a poster that Nigel Farage deployed in 2016 during the Brexit referendum campaign, portraying bearded and dark-skinned migrants appearing to march in droves towards us. The exact same photograph was later replicated in Hungary, with the caption changed from “Breaking point” to “Stop”.

Similar slogans include “Stop the invasion” (“Stop invasione”), used by Matteo Salvini’s Italian League party; and “Close the borders” (“Grenzen dicht”), adopted by German far-right groups the AfD and Pegida (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West).

A few years ago, when the now-imprisoned former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon attempted to form a global coalition of anti-globalists, he managed to herd together a number of Europe’s rightwing leaders, from Nigel Farage to Hungary’s Viktor Orbán. He was involved in setting up an “Academy for the Judeo-Christian West” in Italy. And Trump’s “America first” Republican party is now one of many to adopt the “my country first” slogan.

Spain’s far-right Vox party has used “Primero lo nuestro. Primero los españoles”; Italy’s League, “Prima gli Italiani”; Hungary’s Fidesz party, “Nekünk Magyarország az első”; Germany’s AfD, “Unser Land zuerst”; Austria’s FPÖ, “Österreich zuerst”; and the Swiss People’s Party, “Die Schweiz zuerst”.

Outside Europe, “Önce Türkiye” (“Turkey First”) is promoted by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Justice and Development party. The far-right Japan First party marches under the banner of “日本第一” (“Japan first”). “India first” has been adopted by prime minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata party.

Variations on this theme include “Polska dla Polaków” (“Poland for Poles”),used by nationalists in Poland, Vox’s slogan “España viva” (“Long live Spain”), and “Brasil acima de tudo” (“Brazil above everything”), used by Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro.

In all, about 50 countries have already gone to the polls in 2024. “Fears that this year would reflect the global triumph of illiberal populism have so far been proved wrong,” Francis Fukuyama, a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Center on Democracy and the author of the End of History and the Last Man thesis, has concluded. “Democratic backsliding can and has been resisted in many countries.”

He can, of course, point to the return of Labour in Britain, the re-election of Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission, the shift away from the far right in Poland and the setback for Modi in India. But the Polish and Indian results tell me no more than tolerance of rightwing extremism can ebb when the electorate finds out that the nationalist demagogues are good at exploiting grievances, but bad at eradicating them.

And so we must not forget what has happened in countries from Indonesia to Argentina, the knife-edge fight for power in the US and – what Fukuyama misses in Europe – the insidious surrender of the centre to far-right prejudice.

Of course, there are ways to frustrate the onward rush of rightwing populists. Not only did the Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, defeat the right in national elections last year, but he has skilfully engineered a split between Spain’s centre-right People’s party (PP) and the far-right Vox over the fate of vulnerable child migrants. Until July the two were in coalition in five key regions: Valencia, Aragón, Murcia, Extremadura and Castilla y León.

But it was not the centre-right PP that abandoned the extreme-right Vox; it was the extreme right that walked away from the centre right. And as long as the so-called moderates continue to play with fire – believing that by keeping their opponent close, they can eventually tame the beast – they will continue to lose. Sooner rather than later, the far-right poison will have to be countered with a progressive agenda focused on what matters to people most: jobs, standards of living, fairness and bridging the morally indefensible gap between rich and poor.

Simon: He likes to sing and play the ukelele just like his father. Most people find it sweet and nice, if possibly a bit dorky. Rarely performs in public as he's shy and prefers singing with his family or friends, but actually pretty good at it.

*Note: Musical talent runs pretty rampant in the Drac Pack. Not only can Drac sing and play the ukelele, but Mavis, Johnny, Dennis, Frankenstein, Wayne, Wanda, Winnie, Murray, and Griffin all sing and/or play an instrument. Even the Van Helsings show interest in dance.

Lucy: Takes more after Ericka, Mavis, and Johnny in that she LOVES to perform, including singing. Is quite impressive with it, and a wonderful addition to parties and performances.

Meg: LOVES playing the electric guitar and singing. Often includes music in her "performances" as hero, which the city loves. More into hard rock and heavy metal, but can do softer stuff.

Lily: I could see her doing well at karaoke nights! Better than her dad, anyway. XD

Aaron and Connie are both pretty good singers, but not sure what they'd do with it.

Judging by Jake's fantacies and him rapping with Nigel Thrall, Lizzie would probably be pretty good with rap.

Fictober Day 12: I'm Not Saying I Didn't Like It

Nigel strode down the hallway, feeling a smile start to spread across his face as he saw Rose, standing at her locker. He snuck up behind her, like he had done every day for the past year, and she pretended like she was actually surprised, like she did every day. Rose turned to face him and Nigel leant in to kiss her. Unlike every other day, however Rose didn’t throw her arms around his neck and arch up into his kiss. Her hand came up between them, giving the barest push. It was enough to break Nigel’s heart and he just started shaking his head at her.

                “No.”

                “I think we need to talk.”

                “Please don’t say it.”

                Nigel knew Rose well enough to understand that look in her eye. She’d already made up her mind.

                “I’m breaking up with you.”

                “Why? What happened?

                “This really is about me and not about you or our relationship. I’m not saying I didn’t like it or that it didn’t mean anything to me. I’m just learning more and more about who I am and who I want to be and that is a person who likes you and appreciates you but who knows we’re not going to end up together.” Rose leant up and kiss his cheek. “I hope we can still be friends.”

                Nigel wanted to shout and shake her. Friends? FRIENDS?! How could he ever be friends with her when eh loved her? They were worth way more than the thirty seconds he had been given and for a very brief moment, Nigel understood why witches of old turned people into frogs. Nigel could just keep her, like a little pet, and she wouldn’t be able to run away from him.

                Instead, Nigel nodded, because that was the normal thing to do in a school hallway.

                “Sure, Rose, we can be friends.”

                Rose squeezed his hand and Nigel wondered how she didn’t still feel it. He felt it. But, maybe, this was something that she had to do. Maybe he had to trust her to do it. So that they could get back together. Three days, Nigel thought. One she had a weekend without him, she’d be back.

                “Yeah, friends,” Nigel said, squeezing her hand back. “I’m fine.”

                And that was what he told himself through the next few days. He was fine; they were fine; everything was fine. Once they were back at school, they’d go back to being them. Nigel had himself so convinced of it that it was all he dreamt of on Sunday night. He’d walk into school and go right up to Rose’s locker and she’d throw her arms around his neck and kiss him and they wouldn’t have to say anything; they’d just know what the other was feeling.

                Nigel strode into school with a swagger, making a beeline for Rose’s locker. Nigel saw the swing of her long blonde hair as she turned. Nigel opened his mouth to call her name and then realized that Rose was turning away from him, rather than toward him.

                Rose turned straight into the arms of Jake Long.

                Nigel stopped dead in the middle of the hall, a bright red tinge to his vision as he watched them kiss. Three days after breaking up, his girlfriend of almost an entire year was in the arms of someone Nigel would have called a friend.

                Nigel ran through every curse he could think of, not caring that they were in school and that there was no way in hell that Jake wouldn’t fight back. He just wanted them to suffer and burn. They didn’t deserve happy. Not when Nigel’s heart was so broken.

                Jake and Rose moved out of sight and Nigel remembered where he was. Nigel couldn’t do anything at school and he couldn’t just do anything. He needed to be brutal and clever and do something that would truly haunt them forever.

                Nigel left school and went to the one place he swore to never stop foot, to visit with the one person he swore he would never worth with.

                “Make me your apprentice,” Nigel said.

                Then, he knelt at Eli Pandarus’ feet.

                For the better part of six months, Nigel trained, pretended everything was fine, and kept a sharp eye on Jake and Rose. They were disgustingly, disappointingly, happy. If they hadn’t been, if Rose had realized the error of her way and come back to him, maybe Nigel wouldn’t have dedicated himself to darkness and the hardened part of his heart and schemed the perfect revenge plan.

                A plan that when Eli heard it, he nodded in satisfaction, slightly jealous of Nigel’s ingenuity.

                “You are ready,” Eli said, “just be sure you get then alone.”

                Oh, Nigel would.

                It was easy enough with his newfound skills in manipulation and all the magic tips and tricks that Eli had passed on. Nigel sauntered to the spot that he had picked, taking a moment to peek in on the unsuspecting couple. There were Jake and Rose, peacefully on a picnic blanket, on a date both thought he other had organized. Nigel watched as they kissed, feeling his heart twist.

                It was time.

                Summoning what he could of the elements, Nigel made the sky go dark, the wind rattle and roar, and the tree branches grow thick. Nigel stepped into the circle as the branches closed in, trapping the three of them in one bubble. He took a deep breath, satisfied by the looks in Jake’s and Rose’s face. No one would ever say he wasn’t dramatic. Jake stood up, angry and ready to fight, but Nigel had been expecting that too. With a flick of his wrist, he froze them both in place, and it was time for the second most delicious part: the villain monologue.

                “You I loved,” Nigel said, leaning close to Rose, as if he were going to kiss her. Nigel delighted in the terror in her eyes. He strode over to Jake. “I know we’ve had our differences but I really would have called you my friend. And yet, I have to think you were moving in on my girlfriend while we were still together. What kind of a friend would do that?”

                Jake was trying to struggle but it didn’t matter. Nigel had the power now.

                “I hear all the gossip around school, you know. All about how in love you are and how you’re soulmates and how cute you are and it makes me want to kill you every time because you don’t deserve what was going to be my happiness!”

                Nigel took a deep breath, struggling to control himself. Now was his moment. He turned back to his captive audience.

                “But, I’m not going to do that. Number one, it would be too easy for you. Number two, it would be too inconveniencing for me. The council probably frowns on killing a world dragon. However,” Nigel paused for effect, “cursing one is more of a grey area. So, here is my curse for you: from now on, you are poison to each other. One touch, even the slightest graze of your clothing, and one of you will die.”

                Summoning all his strength, Nigel boomed out the words he and Eli had spent hours memorizing, binding his curse to reality.

                When the last syllable fell form his lips, Nigel was drained. His revenge had been taken and his heart still felt like it was dying. Nigel slumped as he turned his back on the two of them, keeping them frozen until he was far enough away that Jake wouldn’t come after him.

                Nigel was, however, still close enough to hear their screams of anguish.

Happy Disability Pride Month everyone! This is Froppy and I am back again with another Lunaverse Next Gen Kid Lore on the destruction of Phoenix Academy. The next character I will be talking about is Ivy!

Ivy Layla Thrall is my American Dragon: Jake Long Next Gen kid, daughter of Nigel Thrall and Rose. Also Destiny’s first mentor in magic.

Ivy lose her leg and become blind (which I totally forgot! Thanks you @princess-lunalu for remebering this) in the process because just like Bea (Lu’s AJ x Blossom Utonium ship kid), she survived the blast because it wasn't close to her and other students who were doing cheerleading practice, and she used her magic and body as a shield to protect others from the blast. Ivy then helped out in searching for survivors and healing them. Ivy was the one who found Asahi (my Margarita Diaz and Kimiko Tohomiko fankid), whose is the first person to noticed the glass shard that almost completely cut through Ivy’s leg. Bea and Lucius (@aprilbrowines’ son of Lucius Vreedle and Isosceles Right Triangle Vreedle) were the first people to notice the glass shards on her eyes too.

She got the help she needs, however her eyesight is never the same again and she got her leg amputated. Ivy wear glasses, with an external camera integrated, learning spatial awareness, and received a wheelchair and a botanical leg prosthetic (credit goes to @laylaylamode for this idea) to adjust with her life after rehabilitation and surgery. She only used the wheelchair often because she has an above-knee amputation. Therefore, certain activities can be difficult for her, and occasionally be tired of long distance walking that can drains her energy. Ivy stops being Destiny’s mentor, so that Ivy can take care of herself more, she still can help Destiny and graduating from Phoenix Academy. She definitely is a great teacher to her junior classmates from Magic Class, such as Elliot W. Weather (son of Jericho and Kole made by @aprilbrowines) and Ruby Parker Thompson (@gamergirl-lumine’s daughter of Agent Venom (Flash Thompson, whose is a therapist in (Super!) Therapy in the Lunaverse) and Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)).

She got this really cute magic staff, crafted by the finest wand maker in London, England, because her old staff is stolen by The Hat (whose affiliation will reveal later down the line in an one-shot, unless you reads her bio) during it went lost at the sea in Destiny’s lesson in Ocean Magic, in a form of a glyph, this incident is covered up and Ivy never thought about this until the very one-shot I will be working on.

I really wish that the writers had decided to keep Rose in New York after her mind wipe during Homecoming. Apparently there was a rose-nigel-jake love triangle story planned and I still wonder how it would have been.

Like see, Jake is insecure about his relationship with Rose. And he kind of always has been. He thinks that Rose is way out of his league. Now, Brad is a douche bag and Rose just doesn't go for guys like that.

But Nigel isn't like that. Also, rose would have no memory of jake. Would she have chosen nigel briefly? I really want to see how that rose-nigel-jake relationship would have gone.
