#LegacyOfTheWizard Developed by #NihomFalcom Published by #Brøderbund Released in #1989 In Legacy of the Wizard you play as five members of the Drasle family who all have different abilities and characteristics. The family members are Xemn, Meyna, Roas, Lyll and Pochi. The family must stop the evil dragon Keela trapped in a labyrinth but to accomplish their goal they must find the Dragon Slayer which is protected by four hidden crowns. This game is the forth installment of the #DragonSlayer franchise. The graphics, character sprites, backgrounds, music, sound effects and gameplay are gorgeous and exceptionally done. The instruction manual explains the full story which is necessary to understand what’s going on since very little is done to explain it to you while you play. I remember watching my father play this and I thought it was great. It was pretty cool to watch him figure out which family members to use for different situations. He had his trusty notepad as well since he basically wrote down where every character was so he didn’t get lost since lots of back tracking and trail and error is involved. As I played this agIn in my adult life I can see why my father kept a note pad, it’s very confusing and if your person who is new the the NES #RPG genre will absolutely need a walkthrough or at least some type of guide. The game is challenging but not to the point where you want to quick, playing with each family member is great. The game has a password feature so continuing isn’t an issue. The only problem with this game was a mediocre game ending boss battle.
