I went into TNW with a maxed 1-1-1 amp, maxed railjack with maxed Ironclad Matrix, and a level 6 voidrig with the basic archgun you get from the archwing quest (around level 25ish). Had zero problems.

To be fair, I had a Madurai operator with Phoenix Talons and Void Strike maxed or near-maxed. I also invested in a gunner, a defender, and a back-up pilot/gunner from Ticker for my railjack as well.

Absolutely get used to the feel of your Railjack/Necramech before doing TNW.

If I could give you one piece of advice before doing TNW, it'd be don't underestimate the Mausolon on your necramech. I assumed that because it was the default, it was bad. I assumed wrong. It's worth leveling. (And obviously take your time, The New War is well worth waiting for )
