the fic i'm working on binding now is the biggest one i've done to date, and it's going suspiciously well??
#noahbinds#like there were a couple hiccups#like one set of pages didn't print front and back so there's a couple blank sheets that i didn't notice until i was sewing them together#but i decided i can live with that#and it's too big to go in my guillotine#so i think the edges are just going to be deckled#but i found the perfect end papers for the vibes#and they're glued in and just waiting for the head and endbangs and mole on the spine#i'm really excited to have this one finished. all 754 pages of it

oh my god, i've finally done it. i've finally designed a cover i don't hate for a fic bind.
#noahbinds#i liked it last night and then i still liked it when i looked at it again today#i made a few tweaks but i really love how it came out#now to begin the process of sewing this behemoth fic#it's not even that long but if i have to do the typeset myself i take the opportunity to make the font large enough to be readable#and add some spaces between paragraphs#who says you can't format a book the way you'd read it on a kindle?

actually i lied, with the power of macros and a program to do the signature pages for me, typesetting has become okay.
the new beast to conquer is figuring out how to make covers i don't hate.
