This guy just walked off the stage after absolutely crushing his solo performance of Artie Shaw’s “Concerto for Clarinet” at the Eastside Symphony’s winter concert. It’s a song that ends with what has been termed a “legendary” altissimo C; a note so high that hearing aids throughout the auditorium were ringing out loud in approval. By day, my friend Dr. Chris Peterson works to find a way to cure HIV through gene editing techniques at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (@fredhutch).
