⚠️ Warning: Long Post Ahead (But Worth It, I Promise) ⚠️
I wasn’t planning on going down an emotional rabbit hole, but here we are. The other day, I listened to “Sea” again—the hidden track from Love Yourself: Her (2017) that hits like a gut punch every single time. And as soon as it ended, I had this urge to listen to “Run BTS.” Not just to enjoy it, but to really compare the lyrics.
And wow. The story between these two songs?? Absolutely insane. 😍🥰💜🫶🏼
These aren’t just songs. They’re a before-and-after of BTS’s journey. Sea is the voice of seven boys standing at the edge of their dream, terrified it might still slip away. Run BTS is the same seven, years later, standing tall, knowing exactly who they are and how they got there.
It starts with “Sea.”
A whispered confession. A quiet fear. A moment of fragile hope wrapped in doubt.
BTS had made it—but had they really?
They weren’t rookies anymore, but they weren’t legends yet either. They had fought for a place in an industry that never expected them to last. And yet, even after the blood, sweat, and tears, there was still uncertainty.
“Is this really the sea we dreamed of? Or just another desert?”
It’s the feeling of working so hard for something, only to wonder if you’re still lost.
And I felt that. Haven’t we all? That moment when you reach a goal, only to feel like another battle is waiting just around the corner?
“Wherever there’s hope, there’s a trial.”
Even as they stood on stages, held trophies, and saw their dreams materializing, there was still fear that it could all disappear. And that’s what Sea is—it’s standing at the edge of a dream and wondering if you’re actually awake.
And then, years later, came “Run BTS.”
And suddenly, the story doesn’t wonder anymore. It knows.
This time, BTS isn’t questioning their place in the world. They’re declaring it.
“Nonhyeon 100m, our place.”
A quiet nod to where it all began. The tiny practice room, the late nights, the exhaustion. The dream they held onto even when no one else did.
“If we live fast, let us die young.”
Because they never played it safe. They gave everything—every sleepless night, every aching muscle, every silent prayer.
“The two bare feet are our gasoline.”
They ran without privilege, without safety nets, without a guarantee that it would ever be enough.
But they ran anyway.
And this time, there’s no doubt. No uncertainty.
“The reason for Bangtan’s success? I don’t know either.”
Because there was no formula. No magic trick.
“It’s just that we all ran strenuously. No matter what others said, we ran.”
The same seven boys who once feared it might all disappear now stand as legends—not because they were chosen, but because they refused to stop running.
Why This Hit Me So Hard
Listening to Sea always leaves me emotional, but hearing Run BTS right after? It reminded me why I love them so much—not that I ever forgot.
It’s not just the music. It’s not just the performances. It’s not just the face card. 😅😜
It’s the fight.
The grit, the doubt, the resilience. The way they ran when they had no reason to believe they’d ever reach the finish line. The way they kept going when the world told them to stop.
And isn’t that what makes their story so powerful? It’s not about fame. It’s about the refusal to give up, even when every reason tells you to.
And that part about imposter syndrome? That really struck me.
Because let’s be real—we’ve all been there.
We work so hard for something, and yet when we finally get it, we wonder: Did I really earn this? Am I good enough for this?
But BTS shows us that those doubts don’t mean we aren’t meant to be here.
They felt it too. They questioned themselves too. But instead of letting it consume them, they kept running anyway.
So if you ever need a reminder that success isn’t handed to you—it’s fought for, bled for, earned with every step—listen to Sea and Run BTS in order. Let yourself feel the weight of that journey.
Because it’s not just their story. It’s the story of anyone who has ever dreamed of something bigger than themselves.
And when you hear that last line—
“Run bulletproof, run, yeah you gotta run.”
You’ll understand exactly why they never stopped.

판도라: The Box of Yujin (Chapter 6)
TW: Strong language, scenes that could hurt sensibilities.
Flashback to January 17, 2017
It was an autumn afternoon in the Nonhyeon-dong neighborhood. Jinsoul and Yujin were walking along the sidewalk, watching the leaves fall from the trees as a result of the season.
The sky had a reddish hue, and as the minutes passed, it turned more orange—a sign that the sunset was approaching. Both girls watched in awe, fascinated by a sunset that was not commonly visible from the ground in a city filled with buildings and skyscrapers like Seoul. But there they were, witnessing this event with pure excitement after pausing their walk to enjoy it.
Yujin felt incredibly happy to have Jinsoul by her side in what, to her, was a romantic moment. At the same time, she feared that her nervousness would make her say something that could ruin the moment, especially since Jinsoul still remembered the events of the summer of 2015 as if they had happened yesterday.
Yujin slowly leaned against Jinsoul’s shoulder. Instead of moving away, Jinsoul allowed her to stay, letting the younger girl experience the sunset beside her. Seeing this, Yujin finally rested her head on Jinsoul’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around her, hoping to express her affection in what felt like the perfect moment.
This was her dream scene—the best situation to confess her feelings once again.
"You know? Uhm..." Yujin wanted to start the conversation, but she hesitated too much and decided to remain silent.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" Jinsoul asked, her curiosity piqued.
"U-Uhh... nothing, it’s just that my favorite group released a new album… that’s all." Inside, Yujin wanted to disappear. She felt like she had ruined everything by backing out, fearing that things could go worse than expected.
"I saw that. It’s a shame Day6 isn’t very popular—I had to find out through Youngjae." Jinsoul replied, though slightly puzzled by the uncertainty in Yujin’s voice.
"Are you sure that’s all? You seem nervous." Jinsoul asked, trying to make sure Yujin said everything she had originally intended to.
Yujin didn’t know what to do. Her mind told her to stay quiet, her heart told her to confess her feelings to Jinsoul once again, even if it might not end well, and overall, she just wanted to run and hide. That idyllic scenario had turned into a nightmare.
She struggled to find a quick response, but the words wouldn’t come. Rather than asking again, Jinsoul chose to observe the sunset in silence. She thought that perhaps Yujin simply didn’t want to talk, so she buried the topic.
Hours later, the two girls arrived at the Ahn household after stopping by the mall, where they had milkshakes and desserts they had been craving for weeks.
After ringing the doorbell, Mrs. Ahn welcomed her daughter home but also noticed something unusual. Her daughter’s friend had two bandages and was wearing an odd mix of the school’s formal uniform and the gym uniform, as if trying to hide something.
Some time ago, when Jinsoul had asked about this mix, Yujin had replied that it was because she didn’t like the length of the skirt. Though it was a decent length, she still felt it was too short for her—especially considering how her classmates followed the trend of wearing shorter skirts, much like female idols in K-pop groups.
Seul was utterly confused by the mixed uniform and the bandages. She immediately asked if she could provide any medication or call one of her private doctors to check on her daughter’s best friend. Yujin quickly responded that they were just minor sports injuries from playing on the field and that there was no need to worry.
After entering the house, the girls sat on the main couch in the living room.
Although Seul had doubts, she stopped worrying after Yujin reassured her multiple times that there was nothing to be concerned about. What unsettled her the most were the bandages on Yujin’s wrists.
After Mrs. Ahn called the household staff to prepare food for the two girls, they quickly got to work. At around 8 PM, Yujin, Jinsoul, and Mrs. Ahn sat down for dinner.
Once everything was finished, Yujin prepared to leave the Ahn residence and head home. Seul asked her personal driver to take young Baek home, and he agreed.
Meanwhile at Baek's home, at around 9:12 PM, Yujn's mother was waiting for her at the door, as if she had known exactly when she would arrive.
The young girl felt strange. On one hand, she was happy to have spent so much time with Jinsoul again. On the other, she kept replaying what had happened and how ridiculous she thought she must have looked—both to Mrs. Ahn and to Jinsoul—in what she had imagined to be an idyllic scenario. But the worst was yet to come.
When the Ahn's driver arrived at the Baek mansion, he dropped Yujin off at the front door, as he couldn’t go any further inside. She thanked him and, though she didn’t have to, gave him a tip, thinking that since she wasn’t part of the Ahn family, he wasn’t obliged to take her home. She considered it like a regular taxi service. The driver initially refused but eventually accepted due to her insistence.
Upon entering, the first thing she saw was her mother waiting for her with an obviously furious expression. She was burning with rage. She couldn’t accept what she had just seen—her favored daughter had scored lower than the one she didn’t care for.
Yujin, with the hopeful innocence of a child still believing in Santa Claus, approached to tell her mother about her school achievements, unaware that her mother had already been informed via messages from her youngest daughter’s teacher.
She hoped that, in an unexpected turn, her mother would finally praise her, tell her she had done well, and—just once—be proud of her.
The result was the exact opposite.
"Mom, I improved my grades! I finally beat Mijoo!" Yujin smiled and proudly showed her exam, where she had received the highest grade. She also presented the school ranking, which showed her at the top of her class and the entire academic year.
Her mother, far from being pleased, merely looked at her coldly and said with utter indifference, "Am I supposed to be happy about this? You just did what you should have done a long time ago. Don’t expect anything from me."
Devastated, Yujin didn’t know what to do. She simply left to go to sleep.
Her father remained silent, unsure of what to say. After watching Yujin retreat to her room, he simply tuned into the NC Dinos vs. SK Wyverns baseball game.
Inside her room, Yujin looked at her Day6 poster.
"Why is it so hard for my mother to praise me?"
"Am I invisible to her?"
"Why is it amazing when Mijoo does something, but when I do the same, I’m… nothing?"
Questions like these haunted her throughout the never-ending Seoul night. The stars decorated the sky, and the moon seemed to listen to her sorrows as she entered a brief soliloquy.
Tears slowly trickled down her cheeks, and she held back her sobs, unwilling to let anyone know of her suffering.
Before sleeping, she removed her bandages to replace them, revealing the wounds she had supposedly gotten in sports class—but in reality, they were something else. She had been self-harming. She needed to change the bandages quickly.
The injuries on her legs and face had been well covered with makeup, but once she removed it, they were visible—like a warrior taking off their mask or battle helmet.
She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling the pain of her wounds over and over again, remembering how she had gotten them.
After finishing, she wrote in her diary, where she also kept poetry and song lyrics. One passage stood out:
"2017년 1월 17일
I hate every moment of my nights; I hate them so much that I wish I didn't have to see them.
I hate not being able to sleep, knowing that if I do, I'll dream of the things that make me want to die.
Every day, I wish more and more to die.
I don't know why I don't feel this way during the day... But at night, my true self emerges—the sensitive and mortal woman, the one who always wishes to die.
I hate living.
If only you, love of my life, were by my side... If only that happened... I could be happy.
But that will never happen; my destiny is to suffer eternally.
Hell is not in the afterlife—it is life itself.
I hate feeling this way so much, but this will never change.
My nights are as bloody as a gore movie. I wish I could avoid it, but this feeling is recurring.
One more day, waiting to sleep and never wake up again." Yujin wrote with tears in her eyes and an indescribable emotional pain. As harsh as it sounded, the text simply reflected her feelings in their purest state. At around 3 AM, despite the pain, she finally fell asleep.
End of Flashback
Seul was beginning to recall more and more memories that now made sense with the concerns she had at the time. After seeing Haneul, she told her that they needed to act as quickly as possible.
Haneul accompanied Mrs. Ahn to rest and gave her a sedative. After that, she proceeded to gather all the evidence she had and filed a lawsuit against Baek Chulsoo to reopen the case of Yujin’s death. Additionally, she filed a complaint against Kang Eunseo, Yujin’s mother, for incitement to suicide.
The elements for this perfect storm had come together, and after Haneul officially submitted the lawsuit to the justice system, the prosecution would once again have to take the Baek family’s side.
On the other hand, Haneul didn’t want to waste any more time. She contacted the police to arrange forensic examinations of all the evidence she had collected. She also called a psychologist, one of her close contacts, and scheduled a meeting in about half an hour at a café near the bridge over the Han River. Haneul was determined to do what she hadn't been able to before—to clear Ahn Jinsoul’s name.
This lawsuit was not well received by the prosecution, where Jihun was endlessly complaining about how much the Yujin case frustrated him.
“DAMN IT! FOR F*CK SAKE! I HATE THIS CASE!!!” “SEONWOO, YOU'D BETTER CLOSE IT PROPERLY BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO F*CKING SEE THIS WOMAN’S NAME HERE AGAIN. I HATE SEEING THE BAEK FAMILY HERE! UNDERSTOOD?” Jihun exploded with rage.
Seonwoo understood what needed to be done. Even if he didn’t like it, he knew he would have to compromise his so-called "perfect" ethics once again to advocate for the Baek family's interests. His wife quickly found out and was the first to pressure him to cut off any chance of the Ahn family being able to pursue the lawsuit.
At the police station, Hayoung was surprised to see the Yujin case reopened and to receive the evidence via email.
“Cap, you won’t believe this…” Hayoung excitedly showed the email to Kyunsang.
“Cap, I want to handle everything,” Hayoung smiled brightly, looking at her superior with enthusiasm.
“I understand the initial excitement, but this is a very complicated case. I don’t think you can handle it alone like in other cases.” “If you want to take it, you can, but I’d have to supervise and do part of the work,” Kyunsang proposed.
Hayoung nodded eagerly, thrilled to have a new case to solve. It would help her recent winning streak and add more points toward becoming the best detective in the district—an award given monthly at the police station, one she had wanted to win since she first joined.
Both the prosecution and the police had been notified, and it was only a matter of time before everything came to an end. Who was saying the truth?

Berdasarkan perbandingan ini, nilai properti milik Yuri kini diperkirakan mencapai sekitar 23 miliar won (sekitar Rp271 miliar), menghasilkan keuntungan modal sekitar 10 miliar won (sekitar Rp117 miiliar).
