Given my current state of mind, I'd rather make this announcement here, on Tumblr, than on Twitter/X (because I don't really want to stir up even more stress than I already have).

And the problem actually concerns this social network (Twitter/X). Since its acquisition by EM, quite a few changes have been made, particularly to the algorithm.

I've noticed that people tend to block others, not personally, but to balance their recommendations because, yes, the Twitter/X algorithm constantly puts the same people back on the feed despite the mention and insistence of the "Not interested" button, which pushes others to block for technical reasons. Personally, I thought I was blocked because I had done something wrong, but in hindsight, I think I'm one of the users who constantly return to other people's feeds without meaning to. A few months ago, one of the users blocked me without any explanation. I had to contact him via another social network (Bluesky) to ask why, and he told me it wasn't personal at all, but that the algorithm was unbalanced, which explained the blocking, and he unblocked me. From my experience, there's reason to be paranoid, questioning what you did wrong or not (when, in fact, not at all, but yes, I do question my actions on the social network ((Even though I suspect somewhere that people think I like AI art when I don't! I'm just curious and saddened but not really interested))). 😆😅

In addition to the unbalanced algorithm, there's also the problem of bots interacting with our posts, which results in us being labeled as bots in return, even though we're not.

Anyway ! All this to say that because of this even more anxiety-provoking and toxic atmosphere of Twitter / X with this change in the algorithm, I thought about being more and more active on Bluesky (and on the other networks, don't worry!) because it's better balanced and more chill. I would have hoped that Ankama could go there too but since there is no announcement on it (otherwise I would have known since they announced a YouTube channel with "Ankama Animations" not long ago), I will continue to react to their posts while being less active, if possible, on the publication of my drawings because it is difficult for me to disconnect with more than 9 years of activity on this social network.

Afterwards, yes, some people manage to leave because they're fed up with the "new" Twitter, and I can understand this frustration since I feel it too while writing this post, which is almost a cry for help.

It's rare that I write a post like this… 😶‍🌫️

If you're on Twitter/X, don't let this paranoia and toxicity take over. 🙏 Take a moment to breathe, like I'm doing now (in addition to being more and more active on Bluesky, I'm taking the time to play video games, which I haven't had time to play fully for the past few months precisely because of my overactivity with drawing and writing. We're actually invisible).

Au vu de mon état d'esprit actuellement, je préfère faire cette annonce ici, sur Tumblr, que sur Twitter / X (car je n'ai pas vraiment envie d'attiser encore plus de stress que j'en ai déjà).

Et justement, le problème concerne ce réseau social (Twitter / X). Depuis son rachat par EM, pas mal de changements avaient été effectués et notamment sur l'algorithme.

J'ai constaté que les gens ont tendance à bloquer d'autres, non pas personnellement mais pour équilibrer leurs recommandations car, oui, l'algorithme de Twitter / X remet constamment les mêmes personnes malgré la mention et l'insistance du bouton "Pas intéressé", ce qui pousse à d'autres de bloquer par souci technique. Pour ma part, je pensais qu'on me bloquait parce que j'avais fait quelque chose de mal mais avec du recul, je pense faire partie du lot d'utilisateurs qui reviennent constamment sur le fil des autres sans le vouloir. Il y a quelques mois, un des utilisateurs m'avait bloqué sans que j'ai eu une explication, j'ai dû le contacter via un autre réseau social (Bluesky) pour lui demander pourquoi et il m'a dit que ce n'était pas du tout personnel mais que due à l'algorithme mal équilibré, ça explique le blocage et il m'a débloqué. Par cette expérience que j'avais eue, il y a de quoi être parano en se remettant en question sur ce qu'on a fait de mal ou pas (alors que pas du tout mais oui, je me pose des questions sur mes actions sur le réseau social... ((Même si je soupçonne quelque part qu'on pense que j'aime l'art IA alors que non ! Je suis juste curieux et attristé mais pas vraiment intéressé))). 😆😅

En plus de l'algorithme mal équilibré, il y a aussi le problème des bots qui intéragissent avec nos posts, ce qui résulte du fait qu'on est aussi étiquetté comme bots en retour alors qu'on ne l'est pas.

Bref ! Tout ça pour dire qu'à cause de cette ambiance encore plus anxiogène et toxique de Twitter / X avec ce changement dans l'algorithme, j'ai pensé à être de plus en plus actif sur Bluesky (et sur les autres réseaux, ne vous inquiétez pas !) car c'est mieux équilibré et plus chill. J'aurais espéré que Ankama puisse aller là-bas aussi mais comme il n'y a pas d'annonce là-dessus (sinon je le saurais vu qu'ils avaient annoncé une chaine YouTube avec "Ankama Animations" il n'y a pas longtemps), je continuerai à réagir sur leurs posts tout en étant moins actif, si possible, sur la publication de mes dessins car il est difficile pour moi de décrocher avec plus 9 ans d'activité sur ce réseau social.

Après, oui, des gens réussissent à partir car ils en ont marre du "nouveau" Twitter et je peux comprendre ce ras-le-bol puisque je le ressens aussi en écrivant ce post qui est presque un appel à l'aide.

C'est rare que j'écris un tel post au passage… 😶‍🌫️

"I'd like to address David Lynch has passed. That was a huge influence on Danhausen so I would be- (is remiss the right word? I don't know) if I did not say some words about him and his inspirations to Danhausen and I think a lot of you based on seeing how many posts have been posted about him that I didn't even know- and people he affected or inspired, it seemingly is everyone which is rightfully so because in a world that is purely sanitised garbage for the most part as far as art and movies and films and musics and all that go (seemingly at least), he was authentically himself, he was unapologetically himself- why would he apologize? He was weird but because it was authentically weird, weird is good. So. Danhausen obviously was inspired by his hair, Conan O'Brien of course, David Lynch, great beautiful heads of hair. You know, I would like to hopefully be able to leave the wrestling business eventually having known he inspired someone to be weird and authentically themselves as David inspired Danhausen partially to do so and all of that good stuff...

What I'm trying to say: be yourself. What is it, focus on that hole, the donut hole, and eat a donut. That's what he always said! So try to do that, be yourself, create arts, create music, do your performances, be yourself and you know... Hopefully we get a new batch of weirdos inspired in his world to create and innovate and inspire.

I stumbled a bunch on all my words but hopefully this kind of can get put in some type of combustible ball together and mesh, make sense in your brain. Then all of my mush mouthed words will spew out of my brain waves into your brain waves and inspire you to do something stupid and creative and also let's celebrate our living legends. Y'know like the Conan O'Briens, these brilliant minds who are themselves, and John Carpenters and John Waters and lets celebrate them while they're with us, it's wonderful! We're so lucky to be alive in this time where we got to experience the David Lynches and the Conan O'Briens and the John Carpenters and the Paul Reubens and the Elviras and the everyone- the John Waters, so y'know let's keep it up! I do not like to tell people because I think everyone should interpret themselves what I am to you, which is what he said about his art and his films is let you decide. If Danhausen is some type of greedy billionaire vampire to you, then that's what I am. If I'm some sort of greedy billionaire demon then that's what I am to you. If I am some sort of a handsome billionaire aristocat- well that's from a Disney film aristocrat that's the word I'm looking for- to you then that's what I am. So I will be anything you need me to be and what I am to you and how you connect with me, that is what I am. And I am what I am, that's all I am, Popeye. Alright anyways I've rambled on long enough, hopefully I again meshed these words well enough I probably did not, I stumbled I rambled, but we move on we move forward. I keep seeing AI 'artists' insisting that they are real artists because 'they write the prompts themselves, it takes skill and time to come up with an idea'. Ok? It sure does, but real artists come up with the ideas as well as drawing them.

It's like if you have an idea for a food or a desert, you tell someone else to make it (they steal a recipe and claim they didn't) and then you call yourself a chef. You're not a chef, you're just someone who had an idea, who wanted to eat something.

The sad thing is that you lose the satisfaction that comes from creating your own things. It just becomes boring and corporate.

Art, in all forms, is supposed to be human expression. Let's not try to replace it with soulless ai slop.

hey I'm glad ur enjoying what's goin on here! I don't have a Lot of it clear in my mind yet bc it is a full class swap of the entire party so some stuff will just. not play out until they do yknow? it is how it is. but I think from the beginning riz's motivation is decently different so he'll just get into it on an entirely different path - he did Not start out a very kind kid. he would be extremely conflict avoidant, he's got the Actor feat, he's stocked up on Disguise Self, he's ready to disappear mid-conversation, anyone who looks like troubles he's steering Clear of. he goes to aguefort not because he wants to be an adventurer but because sklonda was like "this works for you?" and he was like "yeah 's all good :]" (he is about to throw up bc that's where penny went missing)

I'd say he runs into fabian (rogue) first very briefly and they'd mutually be like oh. a guy. and immediately forget each other once they get out of the same like locked classroom they accidentally both hid in. and then during the corn cutie fight fabian would see the way riz react and Not Like It (haha whoa. like looking in a mirror amirite) and go actually I'd rather be a hero (derogatory) than whatever that is that guy's got going on. great surprise for him when they got out and registration's closed and the mirror is now one of his partners in the career-long group project :]

kristen (sorcerer) would be an Insane encounter at first for riz like this is someone who is extremely powerful, not very controlled, and so fucking starved for people to be nice at. riz is cordial to her on the way and she is like Fuck Yeah Friend! please go do paperwork with me I don't know shit from fuck I haven't had proper paperwork since I was like twelve and gay. do you like candies? she then throws ragh through a window for trying to bully gorgug and netting her and gorgug the detention (riz is of course immediately someone else while this is happening) (he shows up again right after like haha sorry that was scary! resolutely not looking at how kristen's face falls at the idea of someone being scared of her again)

riz and gorgug (cleric) get on like house on fire at first in the sense that they're at that point both fake bitches and they know this about each other and acknowledge this with each other implicitly and they're like I'm not poking at what's going on with you if you don't poke at what's going on with me. and then gorgug dies and sees that the god he's been feeding his anger to isn't real (yet) and has his realization that he's been indoctrinated into a cult through the support group he's been to and starts on deprogramming and in that process he starts poking at riz's deal just by proxy of dealing with his own. riz gets vicious about this a bit into it but after the arcade he kinda comes around again. it helps that at the end of sophomore year gorgug becomes the saint of the Inbetween and riz is very much in need of that stop on his way right then

fig (barbarian) on the other hand does Not like riz off the bat (her whole thing is leaning into rage to live her truth without fear) but then being as perceptive as she is soon she's like ohhhh you're just scared. like Really scared and it's ruining your life. and after that she's like I'll just protect you then :] (this is her solution to most things her friends go through) this does not help at first bc riz has picked up the pattern that is if you're protective of him bad things will happen to you. he will have a breakdown about this in sophomore year but it'll get better from there

adaine (artificer) on the Other other hand just straight up doesn't like riz until after the arcade lol. he's on the prep side, he's not socially awkward and he doesn't use that power for anything but being a coward, he lets biz talk at him in the AV club and that means biz never stops fucking talking, and every time adaine raises a complaint all he does is being like "sorry :[" and changing nothing. it's fucked up between them riz tries to appease her by doing nice things but he doesn't address the things she actually complains about so she doesn't take it. she's the person who outright calls him out for not having the backbone to stand up for himself or his party. despite this she never thinks of throwing him out of the party and he does pick up on this. they get better after the arcade and riz apologizing and by junior year adaine's the one handling the tech end of riz's freelance publication

all of this is subjected to change of course I'm mostly keeping things mobile that's where all the fun is hehe. the world is constantly in motion etc but this is kinda how I'm coming into my art atm we'll simply see!
