as always i was thinking about it (thedas art history) and

i think actually the whole chantry situation would be significantly influenced by the fact that they have control over all the tranquil? and the tranquil are... literate, unpaid, tireless, detail-oriented labourers, who will never get bored or cranky or want to quit. so they would actually be like the backbone of how southern thedas makes any kind of printed material, in scriptoriums attached to the circles or whatever?

which is also really convenient for the chantry. since then they have a chokehold on what gets disseminated. any independent groups that make manuscripts or print material would be less efficient, since by necessity, they would need to... pay their scribes and give them days off, and occasionally have them goof up a page and waste time.

and this raises really interesting questions about stuff like the book of shartan and the heretical chant verses being spread around - can people quietly bribe a chantry official to get them to assign a tranquil to copy it out under the table? is there part-time scribe work going on in alienages to keep these texts circulating? do mages (also literate and have access to materials) themselves manage to do this type of thing covertly, or do they have enough loyalty from the tranquil that the tranquil would be willing to lie about it and help them make some contraband?

anyway, THIS is how the popularity of varric's serialized novels, spurring the development of the printing press, and therefore more secular decentralized sources of media, could create a Chantry Reformation Chaos Era, when the chantry loses its grip on information and archives-

As a new BSD fan and Kunichuu stan, I've learned that we don't actually have many canon interactions between them, so I really like the idea that Chuuya respected the HELL out of Kunikida when he jumped out of that helicopter to literally blow up the enemy, sacrificing himself to save his peers

And whenever they next meet, Chuuya is gonna make sure to let Kunikida know how much of a badass he is, and from there each time the PM and the ADA have to join forces (cuz at this point they're more coworkers than anything else), Chuuya gains an interest in Kunikida and actively tries to work together with him whenever he can

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... To me, Sleep Token stand for self-expression and against conformity. Presenting yourself so open and vulnerable, despite the costumes, is why they feel so safe to a lot of women and queer folks especially. The way their lore and music are intentionally open for interpretation adds to that. They allow us to explore our own emotions with the music intentionally.

Sleep Token is so much more than just "some hot masked guys that make thirst edit music for the fEmAlEs" or "gay music". And frankly, it really shows a lack of understanding for safe spaces and lack of general human decency from those who say shit like this. The same people also usually can't respect boundaries, so there's that, too, lol.

Coach Beard has a secret Traitors Club. It consists of himself, Nate and Jamie, ie people who have (at least in the opinion of one Willis Beard) betrayed Ted Lasso – but who have also learned the error of their ways through the goodness of Ted’s gentle heart.

(Yes, yes, you might argue that Jamie’s insulting remarks about Ted in 1x10 is a reasonable reaction to what, from Jamie’s POV, looks like Ted unreasonably dumping him, but a, I’m not sure that Beard knows that, and b, I’m not sure that Beard cares about that. You might also argue that Nate and Jamie have both learned a lot of stuff from people other than Ted, but: see the a and b of the previous sentence. And anyway, this is Beard’s club and you don’t get a say in his absurd selection criteria.)

Beard doesn’t inform anyone of the club’s existence. That includes the other members, Nate and Jamie, who just suddenly finds themselves regularly invited out for drinks with the most mysterious man either of them have ever met.

There are a lot of weird but oddly good talks about feelings. There are silences neither Jamie nor Nate know what to do with. And then there’s the football strategy chatter, which unites them all in a wild and eager frenzy, and an unexpected but pleasant sense of shared understanding.

Nate think it’s nice that Beard wants to hang and he’s not one to look a gift horse in the mouth anyway, so he doesn’t question the set-up. Jamie generally assumes that given the choice anyone would always choose to hang with him always, so. He’ll indulge his coach. They have a shared love of trivia.

Eventually Beard learns of Rebecca’s early transgressions, and (secretely) inducts her into the secret club. Club meetings get a whole lot more interesting from there on out.

I've seen people call animal Xie Lian weasel, stoat or ferret and depict him as bigger or smaller animal with or without black-tipped tail. And I'm not sure which animal he's supposed to be, but there are certain differences between these three kinds, and it feels like sometimes people are mixing them up. So I thought I'd create charts focusing on most obvious differences - size and fur colour.

But first something important. English is not my first language and I've just learnt that 'weasel' can be used as a common term for stoats, ferret and... well, weasels. The last one are also called "least weasels" and that's what we'll use.

Without further ado, let's go!

IN CONCLUSION:

If it has white fur and a black-tipped tail - it's a stoat.

Least weasels and stoats are significantly smaller than ferrets.

I am Thinking About The Implications regarding Ted’s love interests

With Jenny, they were best friends, there was genuine affection and mutual feelings for each other but neither of them acted on it because they both assumed they didn’t have a chance, and then it was too late

With Charlotte, Ted was in love with her but she didn’t reciprocate, he was just one of the men she was having an affair with behind her husband’s back. He never lets himself be too vulnerable and open with her about his feelings, resorting to either yelling at her or just deflecting whenever she starts to talk about Sam. He’ll just take whatever he can get with her

With Lucy, he can actually express his feelings and be affectionate, but only because he’s playing the role of Konk. He has something to hide behind instead of being truly vulnerable. Even when he’s only talking to Hidgens, at least later in the episode, he stays in character, he falls into Konk’s speech patterns because he’d rather be him, in part because Lucy likes Konk. He even asks that she let him die as Konk just so he can feel loved by her

And then, before he’s approached by Sheila, we learn he does actually want to someday start a family, get married and have kids

After the misunderstanding with Jenny, Ted no longer feels he can be open and vulnerable about his feelings, puts up this front of only being interested in sex when he really does want a relationship beyond that, and only feels safe expressing himself truthfully to others when he’s someone else

Ted please for the love of god learn how to express your feelings in a healthy way I am begging you
