#nugu idols

As more and more groups become gigantic and create a lot of buzz online, and as a result more and more groups fail to generate as much hype as the newest group formed from a competition show, or the newest JYP or YG or Big Hit or whatever…. we might see something new emerge. We might see an audience really open up for “niche” kpop groups. You know there’s lots of blogs for “underrated idols” and stuff, I feel like it’s a matter of time before we see music shows in the style of M Countdown or Inkigayo, but focused on spotlighting kpop groups that don’t often get that kind of spotlight. We might see groups like this focus on appealing to a niche audience instead of a wide audience. In that respect, Dreamcatcher really are trailblazers here. They have a musical style that’s not especially likely to ever be a #1 hit, but they have a VERY devoted and passionate fanbase who love them BECAUSE of how unique they are, and who would be disappointed if they changed their style to appeal to the widest audience.

i think ppl should stan more nugu groups not just cause of the peaceful fandoms and the absolute gems that are their discographies but it is so fun to see a nugu group that you stan show up unexpectedly. like i was watching a reel and someone was showing their album displays and switching it out every month. and they showed sf9 for like 5 seconds AND I JUMPED.

I really don't understand why no one is talking 'bout "Kandis"!? Their debut album has 15 songs!! Which is different from most kpop groups who make mini albums with 5 songs...(≖_≖) In my opinion Kandis's music is kinda combination of New Jeans and Ive?? I can't even describe it because their sound is still slightly different than most of the GG and honestly I think that people who don't like kpop will like Kandis's music because their music is maybe more like lo-fi sometimes??
