One of life’s simple pleasures is to spontaneously take a jar of Nutella or peanut butter and indulge in a spoonful of the delicious, creamy treat without any remorse.
Dulce de leche, literally “milk jam,” falls into this category. Growing up, I used to sneak into the kitchen to snatch a teaspoon of the sweet confection out of my mom’s sight. It was one of my favorite pastimes; well, if you knew her temperament, then it could probably be better described as an extreme sport. Indeed, some cravings taste better when there’s adrenaline involved.
Omnipresent in every Latin American household, this smooth caramel-like confection is made by cooking down milk with added sugar for several hours. All it takes is patience and a fair amount of stirring.
The bronze sauce that’s obtained is thick, sweet and rich It’s often drizzled over toast, sandwiched between buttery shortbread cookies (alfajores) or just eaten straight from the jar.
Dulce de leche makes the perfect filling for babka; but since baking a babka is no simple task, this recipe calls for the practicality of store-bought dulce de leche. Trust me, this approach will save you some nerves and tons of time. As the filling is very sweet, this recipe uses less sugar in the dough than many classic babka recipes. The end result is a soft, intensely flavored brioche-like babka with swirls of gooey dulce de leche flowing through it.
Note: The dough needs to rest for at least 1 hour 30 minutes, but up to a day, then rise for another 1 hour 30 minutes.

Cowboy Bebop Headcanons
Late-Night Snacks
OH WOULD YOU LOOK AT THIS? MY FIRST HEADCANONS POST? IS IT A GOOD POST? PROBABLY NOT, BUT HERE IT!
Imagine it's like 2 AM, a wonderful time to get a snack when you wake up in the middle of the night... or when you just can't sleep. Here's what I think the Bebop crew (+Vicious) would be caught snacking on this late.
Are these accurate? Probably not. Did I have fun coming up with these....... kinda? Am I willing to do more stuff like this? YES. PLEASE. SEND ASKS.
SPIKE SPIEGEL
Cold Cuts, y'know... sandwich meats. He gets into that at night sometimes. It only bothers people when he eats an unreasonable ammount in one night.
JET BLACK
When he is depressed, he gets into the tub of cool whip, Jet tells him not to, but he does anyways.
Spoonful of peanut butter, and I'm talking a HEAPING spoonful, he either does that or decides to be a civilized person and make either a ham and turkey sandwich (if Spike didn't eat all the cold cuts) or a peanutbutter sandwich.
On depressing nights, it's condiment sandwiches. Just bread and mayo or mustard (or both) or ice cream.
FAYE VALENTINE
Chips, if there are any chips you don't want her to finish in one night, HIDE THEM. She has gotten in trouble for eating a whole bag of chips in one night.
Whenever she is going through a bit of depression at night, she gets into the junk food. Any junk food. Candy, chocolate sauce, ice cream, ANYTHING.
EDWARD
At night, they get into the Sour Cream & Onion Dip, without hesitation (totally not based off of something I used to do when I was younger). Eats it by the spoonfuls. It makes everyone who witnesses them eating it VERY uncomfortable.
Even kids get depressed sometimes, but for some god damn reason, I feel like if Ed got depressed, they'd eat an entire jar of Nutella on two slices of toast.
VICIOUS
He is 100% standing in front of the microwave waiting for ramen to cook. He's just staring, watching it rotate. He makes people uncomfy because of this.
On those days when he possibly feels depressed, anything in a can that can technically be eaten without having to be heated up works with him.

Right after the first horrible trimester, where Annie couldn’t hold anything in her stomach. She was now pretty much eating properly. That was until the cravings began. Andy had found her eating the weirdest combinations, pepperoni pizza with Nutella spread on top of it, fried chicken with strawberry jam, Doritos with nacho cheese and jalapeños, this one wasn’t gross, Andy tried it and actually liked it.
Until one day Andy saw her opening a jar of pickles. Her wife was sitting in one of the stools by the counter, taking a very juicy pickle out of the jar.
“What are you doing?”
“Eating, duh!”
“You hate pickles, you say they’re gross.”
“Shhh, your baby wants pickles!” She took a bite and moaned, “Why is this good?”
“They’ve always been good.”
“No, they haven’t.” She bit it again, “Something is missing.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know what, but something is missing.”
One day after work Andy found her making a sandwich. And it was by far the worst combination she had come up with. The sandwich had ham, mayo, peanut butter and pickles, and soon that sandwich was made by Annie at least once a week, and she enjoyed it every time.
It was another Wednesday at the Barber’s household, everything was silent. Andy snores filled the room and Annie was very much awake, her tummy grumbling as minutes passed.
She stood up slowly making sure Andy didn’t woke up and made her way downstairs. She opened the fridge and then the pantry to find nothing appealing for her hunger. She was thinking what she could make when the image of a fresh batch of hot steamy Mcnuggets came to her mind. Her mouth watered when she thought about the flavor of them covered in barbecue sauce. But how could she go to McDonalds without Andy noticing? She knew that if she took the car, the sound of the engine going will wake him up. She shrugged, put on her sneakers by the door, grabbed her keys and made her way to McDonalds by walking.
The streets were empty, the fresh air of the night was hitting her face, and she kept walking until she saw the yellow and red sign. She walked to the door only to find it closed, but she could see people inside, so she knocked on the window and waited for a tall curly blond haired teenager opened the door.
“How can I help you?”
“I was hoping I could get food.”
“I’m sorry ma’am, we only serve food on the drive tru at this hour.”
“Oh! Didn’t know that.”
“No problem, have good night.” And then he closed the door.
Annie stood there for a minute until she walked over the drive tru walking happily.
“Hello?” Annie said through the speaker.
“Good evening, how can we help you?”
“Hi! Yes, I want some nuggets and fries.”
“Ma’am, are you the lady who was at the front door?”
“Nop.”
“I’m seeing you through the camera.”
“Then why you ask?”
“Ma’am you don’t have a car, I told you we only…”
“Serve at the drive tru, I am at the drive tru! Listen, I’m pregnant and I have cravings for nuggets and fries, can you please, pleeeeease just give me my order. I have money, I will pay you. Just…”
“Ma’am!” A female voice talked behind her.
“Fuck!” Annie jumped, “Sorry! You scared me.”
“I’m sorry I scared you. Come with me.”
Annie walked behind her and to the front door.
“Come on in.”
“I thought I couldn’t get in.”
“Well, technically, you can’t. But I can’t leave a pregnant woman outside waiting for food, now can I?”
Annie walked in and sat at one of the tables.
“I’ll bring you your order in a moment.”
Annie waited patiently and a couples of minutes later the girl came back with a tray and her food in it.
“Here you have, 20 nuggets, large fries and a coke.”
“How did you know I wanted 20 nuggets?”
“When my mom was pregnant with my sister, she got this every now and then.”
“Smart woman! What’s your name?” Annie took one of the nuggets and dip in the sauce.
“Eva.” Annie moaned when she bit her nugget, “The other guy is Malcolm. Sorry about him by the way, he is kind of new.”
“Will you get into trouble for letting me in?”
“I hope not, you are just hungry and don’t seem dangerous.”
Andy turned on the bed to find Annie’s spot empty, he thought maybe she was in the bathroom but the light was off.
“Honey?” no response.
He got up and walked downstairs to see if she was in the kitchen, after all it wouldn’t be the first time he had found her eating at this hour. But again, she wasn’t there. Not in the living room nor the office. He took his phone and dial her number, the phone began to ring upstairs.
“Fuck, Annie!”
He then dial Anthony’s number, he knew Anthony had the night shift on this day, who rapidly answer the call.
“Hey, man! What are you calling me at this hour?”
“Annie is not in the house, are you busy?”
“Not really. Slow night, thankfully.”
“Perfect, you try to find her.”
“Andy I’m sure she is not missing. Did you really check the whole house?”
“No”
“Ok, do that and then you call me, ok?” And then he hang off the phone.
A young guy came into Anthony’s office.
“Hey we had a call from a guy at the McDonalds on Main Street, apparently a pregnant homeless woman is in there eating, think you can get a look?”
“Of course!” He was just leaving the station when Andy called him again.
“She is not in the house! Now, can you help me or not?!” Andy’s voice was loud and angry.
“Don’t worry, we’ll find her.” And again he ended the call.
Annie was half way through her nuggets when a knock on the glass door made Annie and Eva turned around.
Eva walked to the door and then Annie saw Anthony walked through the door.
“Annie?”
“Hi!” Annie waved, “Did you come for food too?”
“No, I came because a guy call to say there was a pregnant homeless woman in here.”
The three of them turned to see Malcolm behind the counter.
“What the fuck! Malcolm!” Eva said.
“You let her in and you don’t even know her!”
“She was hungry!”
“Alright! Stop, both of you! Annie, what are you doing here?”
“I was hungry.” She lifted a fry and then put it in her mouth.
“Did you tell Andy you were coming here?” Annie shook her head, “Of course not. Ok, grab your food and I’ll take you home.”
“Can I have a cone before we leave?”
“You,” Anthony pointed to the guy, “give her an ice cream.”
The two of them left the place, not without Annie thanking Eva for letting her get into the place and have her food.
Annie was licking at her ice cream, the rest of the nuggets and fries in a bag, when Anthony spoke.
“Your husband called me twice to tell me you were missing.”
“Ammm, Can I go to your place?”
“Oh no! You get yourself in this mess, he was pretty worried when he called. So you better be prepare.”
When they arrived, they both got out of the car and Anthony rang the bell, a couple of minutes passed before Andy opened the door with a worried/angry look and his hair all over the place.
“I brought something that belongs to you.” Annie step aside and smiled to Andy.
“Get in, now.” He said through gritted teeth.
Annie walked passed Anthony, “Thank you for the raid.”
“No problem, next time just use an app to buy food this late, ok?”
“God, the app!” Annie said knowing that could’ve been a better option than walked all the way to the place.
“Have a good night.”
“Thanks for bringing her.” He shook Anthony’s hand and closed the door.
Annie walked to the kitchen and sat in one of the stools to enjoy the rest of her meal.
“I really can’t believe you! You went out to have McDonalds on your own!”
“I’m a grown woman I can buy my own food.” She bit the nugget in her hand.
“It’s fucking almost 1! You are pregnant! And I was worried!!!”
“Stop yelling, you’re going to wake Jake up.” She had a sip of her drink, “I was hungry, nothing bad happened, relax.”
“And what if it did? God! Annie you can’t be walking around in the middle of the night just because you are hungry…”
Andy kept rambling as she ate, she knew he was angry the moment he called her by her name and not honey or baby. Andy was passing in front of her still talking about how dangerous and irresponsible it was for her to be out at this hour. Annie sighed and lifted her shirt up showing her very rounded and fuller boobs to Andy, who just stop his ranting.
“That’s not fair!”
“Why not?”
“We can be having an argument and then flash me, is not fair game and you know it!”
“You were having an argument, I was eating peacefully.”
“How did they get prettier?” Andy asked curiously as Annie just shrugged.
“Are you still mad?”
“YES!” Annie jiggled her boobs, “NO! ...YES! ...fuck! you are not playing fair!”
“I’m not playing at all.”
They stayed in silence. Andy’s hands on his narrow hips as Annie took the last bite of her nuggets.
“Are you done?” Annie nodded “Good! Now go to bed and when I get there I want you naked.”
“Thought you were angry.” Annie lifted an eyebrow.
“I am angry! And I’m going to give you a lesson!”
“No, you won’t.” Annie jumped off the stool and yawned.
“What?”
“I’m tired, I walked all the way to McDonalds. My feet hurt, and I’m sleepy… we are sleepy.” She said rubbing her bump. “So, I’m going to bed, can you throw all that,” She pointed to her trash, “for me?” Andy just stared at her. “Thanks, you are the best.”
Annie walked out of the kitchen and to the stairs.
“God, please just gimme patience.” Andy said looking up. “And you better calm down.” He said now looking down at his pants, “Cuz we both now we are not getting any tonight.”

Do you like sandwiches? If so, what kind of sandwiches? I prefer subs myself (mmm Jersey Mikes) but there's also salad sandwiches and PB&J. And yes this is bread related because a sandwich is not a sandwich without bread. What kind of bread is best for a sandwich?
i do like sandwiches…i like sub/similar sandwiches when i want an actual sub(heh)stantial thing (i had so many veggie subs and sandwiches at university…would love to specify what kind but it depended on my mood. usually spinach and carrots as a baseline because texture and i like spinach a lot then fun stuff like onion and cucumber and hummus sometimes and just lots of stuff depending on my mood and they had this pesto stuff i liked…usually id get a mild cheese because strong cheese with just vegetables is. hmm not my favorite but it needed that for texture reasons too). as far as what bread i liked for those, it so depended on my mood but usually just…something firm but not too firm? those aren’t my favorite soft bread sandwiches but i dont want the bread to be too hard, just something a little crispy when toasted
but i also do love sweet sandwiches sometimes. sometimes i just crave peanut butter and jelly out of nowhere??? i can eat too many of those i think so i have to stop myself from making infinite sandwiches and i like a few other sweet sandwiches a lot (peanut butter and honey, anything with nutella when im in the mood for it, etc.) but as far as bread is concerned i like any very soft bread for it, typically i just use like a loaf of bread you could pick up at most stores, nothing fancy for that. it’s a simple sandwich
if you want a general answer for what kind of bread is best for a sandwich, i think you’re misunderstanding why there are so many types of bread and sandwiches in the first place. it depends on what you’re in the mood for, what flavors would go with the sandwich, bread to ingredients ratio, how the textures work together…i couldn’t name one favorite sandwich for the same reason. it’s like asking me to choose a favorite son, except i actually like sandwiches.
also, not a big fan of salad sandwiches as a concept, but that is because i am not a cat. don’t @ me
#this is such an open question so im giving you a very rambling answer#sorry anon. except im not because you asked a lot of big questions

What's your favorite thing to have on toast?
omg GREAT question. I don't have toast much these days because I live alone and cannot get through a bag of sliced bread without really commiting to the toast lifestyle. And when I do it's normally the cinnamon swirl bread and for that it's gotta be the Naturally Softer Kerrygold Salted Butter. If it's "plain" bread I like to put a bit of butter and a bit of jam. Or Nutella if I have access.
Also very good is like an open face sandwich with ricotta or goat cheese and tomatoes (they have one of these at Tatte that I like a lot).

All 30 of the character Questions for Willow please! 🥰
1. When they tap their fingers do they use the pads of their fingers or their nails? The pads of them, she doesn't have very long nails so they wouldn't make a sound.
2. What textures can they absolutely not stand? Bathing suite material whatever that's called. She'd rather just wear undies in the pool if she has to.
3. How long can they go without showering before they feel gross? Probably two days, she's a crusty granola girl who could shower in pond water.
4. Do they leave clothes on the floor or a chair? On her beddd
5. Do they sleep with the bedroom door open or closed? Seeing as her bedroom is a dorm room or a van, closed. She'd never admit it, but she was scared living in her van at night. The dorm is much safer she feels and she shares which makes it more comforting.
6. Which do they prefer: 3am or 3pm? 3pm, golden hour granola girl
7. If they suddenly woke up with animal ears and tails what animal would they be? I hate furries but can't she be a beaarrrr? They had ears and small tails. She has bear traits.
8. If they could only eat one thing for 20 days straight what would it be? Peanut butter pretzels from costco, or PB nutella sandwich.
9. Are they the type to re-read a book? Only book she's reread has been for church, so she doesn't really see the point in rereading others.
10. Would they want to know the exact date and time of their death? Uhhhmm no she's too anxious, she'd never leave the house again.
11. What’s their favourite mythological creature? Unicorn easily.
12. If they had to listen to one song on repeat 100+ times what would it be? ONCE AGAIN doesn't listen to music, but she'd love the Lumineers
13. Do they believe in an afterlife? Yeah she believes in heaven from a religious POV because she was raised a lot around that, she was just taught that's what's after death, and she was homeschooled so she didn't have anyone else telling her otherwise. She still believes in it even being grown up and exploring the world, it's comforting.
14. When they get tired do their eyelids twitch? They wouldn't, they'd get heavy and start closing, but I don't think that's twitching.
15. What are their favourite textures? MOSS
16. Do they crack their joints? Never! Girls can't.
17. Would they eat/drink something too hot or wait for it to cool? She would blow on it, especially cause she cooks a lot on the fire while camping, it would be dangerous to eat that, so she always lets stuff cool down first.
18. Are they the type to adopt strays? (Animals or people) She does get along better with people that don't have a set place.
19. Do they get work done straight away or wait until the last moment? Straight away! No late assignments from her! She'd get anxiety.
20. How do they bathe/shower? Long or short? Hot or cold? Whenever she's home she takes atrociously long baths, like going on two hours, she does her everything bath, and then showers after to wash her hair twice.
21. Are they the type to daydream? Yes so much, she'll daydream all day in class, looking out the window and all. Very cliche.
22. Do they work best in a messy space or a neat space? Neat space! Living in a dorm and a van she'd not have a lot of space to get messy, so it all has to be organized.
23. Do they keep any personal photos? Yes, depending on if everyone in her family is still alive, she keeps pictures of her and them together, and special ones of just...the specific person that died. She'd probably just keep them in a scrap book though, and her phone.
24. Do they indulge in anything? Probably like new shoes, or camping gear that's expensive, there's some high class hiking boots out there she would've bought maybe with birthday money.
25. Would they do the exact opposite of what someone says just to spite them? No! She'd be mad a little depending on who the person was, but like if her mom told her not to do something, she'd listen and respect her, they're friends.
26. If they’re alone and hear a noise would they go and investigate? No! Anything she hears outside while camping alone she assumes is a small animal or sasquatch, depending on the sound. And she just chooses to be okay with it and see if the sound did anything in the morning when it's brighter.
27. If they’re lost what is the first thing they would do? Take out her phone to check for service, and pull up a map, if she didn't have service she'd get her compass out and find which way was north, because north is usually the right way to go.
28. What is that one dream that makes no sense but is absolutely terrifying? Her having to go to public high school for the rest of her life as if it's her job, despite never setting foot in a public high school.
29. What is the stupidest thing they’ve ever done just because someone said they couldn’t? Probably free climbed a cliff on a girl scout trip without a harness. And fell and broke her ankle very embarrassingly.
30. Are they stoic or melodramatic about being injured? She'd probably cry about it, she doesn't have a high pain tolerance.

In this article, I will present three of the most viral and delicious recipes of 2025: The Cloud Bread Breakfast Sandwich, Homemade Raising Canes, and New York Style Cookies. Are they worth trying? Keep reading and find out.
1. Cloud Bread Breakfast Sandwich

Cloud bread is a light, fluffy, and gluten-free alternative bread, a healthy alternative to traditional bread. It is made without flour and has a soft texture very similar to meringue. It quickly went viral on TikTok due to its resemblance to a real cloud, its colors, and its satisfying texture, perfect for attracting the attention of all the people.
It’s made with eggs, cream cheese or Greek yogurt, and cream of tartar. Separate the eggs, whip the whites with cream of tartar until stiff, mix the yolks with cream cheese, then fold both mixtures together. Spoon onto a baking sheet and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 25–30 minutes.
Cloud bread is light, low-carb, and gluten-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. Its airy texture and subtle taste pair well with sweet or savory toppings, offering a healthy start to the day.
2. Homemade Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s is a fast-food chain founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It specializes in one thing done exceptionally well: fried chicken tenders. Known for its simple menu, buttery Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, and iconic Cane’s Sauce, the chain has gained a cult following across the U.S.
To recreate the famous Cane’s chicken at home, start by marinating chicken tenders in buttermilk, then dredge them in a seasoned flour mixture. Fry until golden. For the sauce, combine mayo, ketchup, garlic powder, Worcestershire, and pepper.
Key Ingredients & Tricks:
Buttermilk: tenderizes the chicken.
Seasoned flour: adds crispiness.
Rest after coating: helps the breading stick.
Homemade Cane’s Sauce: the real star, let it sit overnight for best flavors
while nothing beats the original’s convenience, making it yourself lets you control the quality and portion size. Homemade versions can be just as crispy and flavorful with the right ingredients and a little patience.
3. New York Style Cookies

New York-style cookies are famous for their large, bakery style size, crunchy edges, and soft, gooey centers. Often weighing over 100 grams, they’re thick, rich, and satisfying more like a cookie-cake hybrid than a traditional cookie.
The typical ingredients and techniques to achieve the perfect texture, bakers use brown sugar for moisture, bread flour for chewiness, and cold butter for structure. The dough is usually chilled before baking and cooked at a high temperature to create that signature crispy on the outside, soft on the inside contrast.
Also their most popular flavors include classic chocolate chip, double chocolate, white chocolate macadamia, salted caramel, and even stuffed versions with Nutella or peanut butter.
Their dramatic size and clingy interiors make them perfect for slow-motion “cookie pull-apart” videos.

Breakfast Pretzel Braids: Sweet and Savory Options
Pretzel braids aren’t just for snacking or dipping at parties—they also make an incredibly versatile base for breakfast dishes. Their rich, chewy dough and the slightly salty crust can take on both sweet and savory flavors, making them ideal for a morning meal that feels hearty, indulgent, and a little unexpected. Whether you’re preparing a weekend brunch or looking to reinvent your weekday breakfast routine, pretzel braids offer a delicious twist on traditional morning fare.
Savory Starts to the Day
For savory breakfast lovers, pretzel braids offer the perfect canvas. Their firm yet soft structure holds up well to layers of eggs, meats, and cheeses without getting soggy or falling apart. One classic idea is a breakfast sandwich: slice the braid in half and fill it with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon or sausage, and melted cheddar or gouda. Add a swipe of chipotle mayo or garlic aioli for a little extra flavor.
If you're leaning more toward brunch fare, consider turning your pretzel braid into an open-faced creation. Top it with poached eggs, sautéed spinach, and a drizzle of hollandaise for a pretzel-style eggs Benedict. Another option is to use pretzel braids as a base for breakfast sliders. Slice the braid into small sections, fill them with ham and Swiss cheese, and toast them until warm and melty—perfect for feeding a crowd.
Sweet Morning Indulgences
Pretzel braids also shine in sweet breakfast variations. Their salty edge balances beautifully with sugary toppings, making them a delightful alternative to traditional breakfast breads. For a quick treat, warm up a pretzel braid and slather it with cinnamon butter or a blend of cream cheese and honey. You can also toast slices and top them with Nutella and fresh berries, or peanut butter and banana for a protein-packed start to the day.
Another sweet twist is turning the braid into French toast. Dip slices into an egg mixture with cinnamon and vanilla, then pan-fry until golden brown. The result is a crisp outside with a tender, flavorful interior—especially delicious when drizzled with maple syrup and topped with powdered sugar.
For those who enjoy baked breakfast goods, consider layering slices of pretzel braid into a casserole dish to create a breakfast bread pudding. Mix with eggs, milk, sugar, and a touch of cinnamon, then bake until set. Serve warm with fruit compote or whipped cream for a decadent morning dish.
A Perfect Morning Match
Whether your tastes lean toward savory and filling or sweet and comforting, pretzel braids can be adapted to suit your breakfast cravings. Their flavor and texture make them more interesting than plain toast or rolls, and their unique appearance adds a special touch to your plate. With a bit of creativity, you can transform the humble pretzel braid into a standout part of your morning routine.

The CRIMPiT Toastie Revolution: Why Everyone’s Obsessed with This TikTok-Famous Gadget
The Toastie Glow-Up We Didn’t Know We Needed
Move over, boring sandwiches—there’s a new contender in town, and it’s sealing the deal on lunchtime glory. Enter the CRIMPiT, a pocket-sized kitchen gadget that’s taken TikTok, Instagram, and pretty much the entire snack-loving world by storm. Promising to transform ordinary slices of bread into crispy, sealed toasties bursting with molten fillings, the CRIMPiT has become a must-have for anyone who takes their toasted snacks seriously. But is it worth the hype, or is it just another internet fad destined for the back of your kitchen drawer? Let’s dive into the pros, cons, cost, and where to snag one in the UK.
What Is the CRIMPiT, and How Does It Work?
For those who haven’t been swept up by the countless TikTok videos featuring gooey cheese pulls and sizzling toasties, the CRIMPiT is a nifty gadget designed to turn slices of bread into sealed toastie pockets. Unlike traditional toastie makers that often squash your bread or ooze filling everywhere, the CRIMPiT works by pressing and sealing the edges of bread around your chosen ingredients, locking everything inside. All you need is a microwave or an air fryer to get that crispy golden exterior and a piping hot, gooey interior. It’s the adult version of a childhood favorite, and honestly, we’re here for it.
The Pros: Why the CRIMPiT Is a Game-Changer
1. Perfectly Sealed Edges—No More Leaks!
The main appeal of the CRIMPiT is how flawlessly it seals your toasties. No more rogue cheese dribbles or half-melted fillings sliding out the sides. The gadget’s simple yet effective design crimps the bread edges tight, making each bite neat and satisfying.
2. Endless Filling Possibilities
Think beyond basic ham and cheese—this is your chance to experiment. From mac and cheese to banana and Nutella, the CRIMPiT lets you go wild. The best part? The sealed edges mean even the messiest fillings stay put.
3. Healthier Than Traditional Toastie Makers
Traditional toastie makers often require buttered bread to prevent sticking, but the CRIMPiT doesn’t. Skip the extra calories by using non-stick spray or nothing at all. Plus, you can load up on veggies, lean meats, or even fruit fillings without worry.
4. Compact and Easy to Clean
No bulky appliances or endless scrubbing here. The CRIMPiT is dishwasher-safe and small enough to fit in a drawer. A quick rinse or toss in the dishwasher, and you’re good to go.
5. Microwave and Air Fryer Friendly
Whether you’re an air fryer addict or just need a quick microwave snack, the CRIMPiT has you covered. The microwave method gives you a soft, steamed finish, while the air fryer makes your toastie golden and crisp.
The Cons: What’s Not to Love?
1. Size Limitations
While the CRIMPiT’s compact size is a pro for storage, it’s a con if you’re dreaming of oversized toasties. Standard bread fits perfectly, but anything larger or thicker might need some trimming.
2. Limited to Sliced Bread
If you’re a sourdough or ciabatta enthusiast, the CRIMPiT might disappoint. It’s designed for standard, soft-sliced bread, which can be limiting if you like to mix up your carb game.
3. Can Be Fiddly with Wet Fillings
While it handles most fillings like a pro, super wet ingredients (looking at you, baked beans) can sometimes seep through the edges. Keeping fillings thick and not overly saucy is the key to success.
4. No Built-in Heating
Unlike traditional toastie makers, the CRIMPiT doesn’t heat on its own. You’ll need a microwave, air fryer, or sandwich press to finish the job. If you’re all about plug-and-play convenience, this could feel like an extra step.
How Much Does the CRIMPiT Cost in the UK?
Surprisingly, the CRIMPiT is super budget-friendly. Prices generally range from £8 to £12, depending on where you buy it and whether there are any ongoing promotions. Considering the endless toastie possibilities and the money saved on takeout, it’s a small investment for a big snack payoff.
Where to Buy the CRIMPiT in the UK
The CRIMPiT is available on popular platforms like Amazon UK, where Prime delivery can get it to you by tomorrow if you’re in full snack-attack mode. It’s also stocked at major retailers like Lakeland, Robert Dyas, and even larger Tesco stores. For those who prefer to shop small, check out the CRIMPiT’s official website for exclusive deals and bundle options
Top Viral CRIMPiT Recipes You Need to Try
1. Pepperoni Pizza Pocket
Spread pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella. Seal, air fry for 4 minutes, and serve with garlic mayo. Pure bliss.
2. Apple Pie Delight
Fill with sautéed apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Toast, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and pretend you’re at a fair.
3. Spicy Chicken Caesar
Mix shredded chicken with Caesar dressing and parmesan. Seal, toast, and top with lettuce. It’s basically a salad (if you ignore the carbs).
The Verdict: Is the CRIMPiT Worth It?
In a word: Yes! For under £12, the CRIMPiT delivers endless snacking potential without the mess of traditional toastie makers. Its compact size, easy cleaning, and ability to lock in fillings make it a kitchen MVP, especially for anyone who loves experimenting with flavors. While it might not replace your panini press for larger bread types, it’s a genius gadget for quick, delicious snacks.
So, what’s stopping you? Grab a CRIMPiT, raid your fridge for fillings, and join the toastie revolution. Your taste buds (and your Instagram followers) will thank you.

Japan Day 6 (September 11, 2024)
Today was a great day! We woke up at 5 AM this morning in hopes of seeing the sunrise and Mount Fuji without any clouds obstructing the view. 5 AM was a little bit earlier than we have been waking up in previous days, but we were pretty determined to see Mount Fuji. And thankfully, our plan worked! The sun hadn’t quite risen all the way up by the time we woke, but we could see that there weren’t any clouds. We could see the lights of the hikers along the trail who were trying to summit Mount Fuji too. That was pretty cool. we were both super excited to be able to see Mount Fuji. We went one floor above to the rooftop onsen to hot tub and watch the sunrise with Mount Fuji. it was pretty spectacular. To start the day with a hot spring hot tub and get to see this revered mountain. Unfortunately, it was pretty hot. So we didn’t last very long. We went back to our room and sat in our own personal hot tub/onsen on the balcony of our room. We were able to make that hot tub a little bit cooler so it was more tolerable for a long period time. so we got to sit and relax and appreciate the views. It is probably one of the best experiences on this trip. After a solid while of relaxing, we rent off and changed into the hotel provided Japanese pajamas to head to breakfast. This breakfast buffet was mostly pretty traditional in regards to Japanese breakfast cuisine. Which means a lot of fish and savory items. There was a salad bar. I cannot emphasize how much fish there was. Thankfully, there were enough items for us to eat that weren’t fish. We both loaded up on fruit and omelette, and there are mini pancakes and even a little bit of Nutella. After breakfast, we still had about two hours to relax before we needed to leave and check out of the hotel. So we walked around the hotel more and spent some time relaxing in our big room and finish packing up belongings.
We checked out around 10 o’clock in the morning and the hotel organized a shuttle to take us to the Shinkansen station (the bullet train). we thought that the shuttle was going to take about an hour and a half. However, it only ended up being about an hour. So we had plenty of time at the train station to make sure we found the right platform for our bullet train. There weren’t a ton of food options at this small station. So we both ate a cliff bar that we had brought and tried a peanut butter sandwich that I purchased that a convenience store. we then boarded our first bullet train. And man do those trains go fast. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. It was really cool. Also a little bit nauseating thinking about how fast we are going. Whenever we passed by bullet train going the opposite direction it was like a flash. Both trains were going so fast and opposite directions. We were on this first bullet train for about 20 minutes. Then we had to get off to transfer and change trains. The station that we got off was so hot. Cannot emphasize how hot and humid. We were both instantly super sweaty. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait for too long. Our next bullet train showed up within 20 minutes. And thankfully, it was on the same set of tracks so we didn’t have to change platforms. We boarded the second bullet train. This bullet train was about an hour and a half ride into Kyoto! We both just listened to some music and relaxed for the hour and a half. After we pulled into Kyoto, we decided to take the subway to a station closer to our hotel. So then we boarded basically our third train for the day and fourth leg of the journey. After the subway ride, we then had a 14 minute walk from the subway station to the hotel. This walk was a huge struggle. It is extremely hot and humid. And I’m carrying rather heavy backpack into tote bags that are totally full. It was worth it not to bring a roller bag because there are a lot of stairs and all of these train and subway stations. so a roller bag would’ve been a huge pain as well. But man was this walk a struggle. With only one break, we made it to the hotel. Of note, Kyoto is a smaller town than Tokyo. And interestingly, a lot of the streets are very narrow, one-way streets with no sidewalks. So it seems like you’re walking down little alleyways. But in fact, they are actual real streets that are heavily used.
After taking a quick 20 minute break in the air conditioning, we had to head out to our tour. And man were we drenched in sweat. I had booked us a tea ceremony tour in Kyoto. It was another 15 minute walk from our hotel. And the tour included getting dressed up in kimonos, learning about traditional Japanese tea, ceremonies, and making our own Matcha tea. After we checked in for the tour, we were quickly whisked away by a bunch of Japanese ladies and, we were undressed, dressed in kimonos, had our hair done, and given accessories, such as toe socks, flowers in our hair, Japanese purses, and Japanese samples. It was quite the whirlwind experience. And I felt horrible because I was totally wet, including my hair. But they were so nice. There was no hesitation about getting me dressed up into a kimono and doing my hair. I got to pick out a lovely blue flower kimono. Liz picked out a beautiful purple flower kimono. it was so much fun to get dressed up in traditional Japanese garb. We got to keep the weird toe socks and we continue to wear the fancy hair-dos the rest of the evening. For the tea ceremony, they took us into a little house with traditional tatami mats. We had a little lesson about Japanese culture in regards to ceremonies. Including how they date back to the 1600s. We learned a lot about the meaning behind the tea ceremonies. Including being present in the moment and meditation. we were provided with a couple of Japanese sweets. We learned that traditionally people have some sweet before Matcha because it’s so bitter. We then learned how to make our own Matcha. The instructor poured hot water into bowls that had Matcha powder already in it. We used a bamboo whisk to whisk the powdered Matcha into the hot water. We did this until it was nice and bubbly and frothy. After approval from the instructor and a couple of pictures, we got to drink our Matcha. Matcha is definitely very bitter. I don’t think it’s our favorite tea drinks. Both of us had so much fun learning about the history of Matcha and tea ceremonies. After the ceremony, we were able to take some fun pictures inside the little house and in the nearby garden. We went back to change into our clothes. Not surprisingly my clothes were cold and wet from all the sweating from before. It was really gross. It is what it is though.
After the tea ceremony tour, we wandered the nearby streets, looking for dinner. We found this really amazing restaurant where you order like breaded steak and you cook it yourself on a hot plate in front of you. We both ordered a tenderloin steak. It was some of the best steak that I think I’ve had in recent years. It was so lean and tender. it came with all of these dipping sauces as well. This included curry, soy sauce, egg, and a couple of other things I didn’t recognize. We also had some soup and rice and tea. Really hit the spot. It was a solid dinner. Would definitely recommend and do again. After dinner, we continue to wander the streets and popped into a couple of stores. Did a little bit of souvenir shopping. We then headed back towards the hotel. At check-in, they told us at the they don’t have a kitchen here at the hotel. So they bring breakfast sandwiches to our room every morning. But they cannot bring breakfast earlier than 8:40 AM , which is a little bit later than we were hoping for for tomorrow. So on our way back from dinner tonight, we stopped by 7-Eleven to pick up some breakfast foods. We have a microwave and a fridge in our hotel room. We are now back in the hotel enjoying the AC. We are both enjoying a glorious shower and getting into our pajamas to go to sleep. it was an absolutely lovely day. Albeit very hot and sweaty. But we are looking forward to these next couple of days in Kyoto.
