Hello! :D

This blog was started in honor of the 2024 Year of the Dragon, which also happened to be a leap year, aka Hiccup Haddock's birthday year. This blog was originally a daily art blog, but I changed it to an art request blog due to burnout and the sheer amount of requests people have sent me.

That being said, I'm drawing YOUR 🫵 HTTYD requests - which are periodically open. You can see whether requests are open by checking this pinned post, or in the bio of the blog itself.

He’s quick to wake when he feels her start to become restless, his senses ever hypervigilant.

It happens so fast it all gets blurred together.

He calls to her once, a soft, “nena…” as he cradles her jaw, attempting to gently wake her.

She releases a distressed moan, shifting to get away from where he holds her in the darkness of their bedroom.

“Nena—" He attempts to carefully shift her awake.

And in a microsecond, she thrusts the heel of her hand up, colliding firmly with his nose as she wriggles to get away.

“Fuck!” he whispers as blood starts trickling from his nostrils, too concerned about her to worry about himself.

Her eyes finally pop open heavily, darting around the inky blackness that surrounds them, a gasp drawing in the air she struggles to take in.

She releases it heavily and attempts to suck in another breath.

Jake swiftly reaches for her again, his voice is quiet but audible enough that she knows it’s him and not whoever she was attempting to fight off.

“Hey—it’s me, mi vida—”

Her eyes slowly come to focus on him, a choke of a sob leaving her.

“You’re safe—you’re home…” He tells her, reaching to comb his fingers through her hair.

She nods quickly, her face crumpling as she releases another sob, curling up against him the way she had been before.

He wraps one arm securely around her while pinching the bridge of his nose with the other hand so as to keep from bleeding on her.

“You’re safe, mi alma, you’re safe—it’s okay…” He consoles her further.

She buries her face in his chest, shaking it as she continues to cry.

He’s used to her night terrors – they all are, in fact, good dreams are rare for her – something she shares with Marc.

There are a few different kinds of subject matter but the reaction she had upon waking was pretty telltale of a certain type.

He frowns deeply as she works through it, gently rubbing her back and reassuring her softly with his words until she slows down.

He knows better than to suggest going back to sleep right away, and he wouldn’t risk her going back into such a nightmare – not when he couldn’t protect her from the demons she faced.

“Come on, sweet one—let’s get up for a little bit…” He murmurs, reaching to turn the light on, on the nightstand behind her.

She nods quickly, sniffling quietly as she untangles herself from him.

She squints as the light illuminates the room, her eyes almost immediately falling on the trails of blood from his nose.

“Jake—did I—”

He takes her hand – the same one she’d struck him with – with his that’s now free, carefully pressing a kiss to it while avoiding his nose.

“I’ve had worse, amor—though it was impressive—I don’t think it’s broken…” He smirks at her.

She scoffs, a quiet smile coming to her lips despite her tear-stained cheeks, giving him a soft shove.

He combs his fingers through her hair again, the corner of his lips tugging up a little more.

“Come on, up…”

She doesn’t hesitate to do as she’s told, immediately getting up and entering their bathroom to retrieve a damp washcloth.

Jake takes the moment she’s gone to more properly appraise his injury, rotating his face and gingerly pinching the bridge of his nose.

“Think we’re wasting your talents as a mixed martial artist.” He calls to her as he shifts to sit up.

She comes back with one of those shy smiles he’s famous for bringing out of her – you know – the one where she does her best to fight it and pretends her heart isn’t fluttering on the inside.

Those are some of his favorite smiles and to elicit it from her so soon after such a bad night terror is a sure victory.

She feigns a laugh as she climbs into his lap and starts gently cleaning his upper lip and nose.

“Is it okay if I hold you or should I put on protective gear first?” He continues to tease.

She gives him another shove and he immediately grips her from behind, dragging her closer as she finishes cleaning up any residual blood, his lips coming to capture hers slowly.

She all but melts into him, wrapping her arms around his neck, tossing the washcloth back over her head as she deepens the kiss.

He gives her lips a long, slow pull before retreating.

“Are you okay?” He asks warmly between them, dropping any humor in favor of genuine concern.

She nods firmly, giving one last sniff, shifting to nestle her face back into his throat.

He cradles the back on her head one hand, his other arm wrapping snugly around her waist.

“Hopefully we gave you something sweeter to dream about…”

Emma only tightens herself around him, hiding a shy smile against him with a tiny nip at his skin.

There’s a quiet – judgmental – voice that sounds off in his mind—a voice which both of them can hear.

‘I would’ve made her a cup of tea…’

This, of course, only causes both of them to fall into soft laughter.

Butttt I was wondering if you liked Doctor who and if so do you think you'd ever do a Doctor audio, either as one of the canon Doctors or like an oc one?

(also if you do like Doctor who who's your fav doc 👀)

so love for doctor who is complicated for me.

i watched the 9th and two of the 10th doctor's seasons as a child (when i has 7-9 years old), but while i loved the show it would give me terrible panic attacks and night terrors when i would try and go to sleep so i had to stop watching it. but it was still a big presence in my childhood as my sibling and mum carried on watching it together, and my sibling had a lot of doctor who toys and collected the trading cards. i also watched the sarah jane adventures as a kid.

i didn't watch any episode again until i was about 13 and i wanted to see if it would still give me nightmares and i watched the 11th doctor weeping angel two parter (the one with river where they find the angels in caves) and it didn't give me nightmares so yay but i also had no desire in me to keep watching the show. since then i've seen i think two 12th doctor episodes, and i did see the 10/11/war doctor special, but again it didn't grab me enough to make me want to watch the rest of those seasons. i also as a teen watched the first couple seasons of torchwood, and the 4th one.. i have no idea how i ended up skipping children of the earth. well i do kinda, i watched season 4 when it aired and hadn't watched the previous ones, went back afterwards and watched the first two seasons and then just lost interest or couldn't find season 3 anywhere to watch.

years later, like around 2021, i can't remember what caused it, either my sibling enjoying and recommending the audio dramas or that i'd always been curious about a certain doctor after the war doctor short film or that i'd heard the most recent series of these audio dramas had the first ever trans companion, but i found myself listening to the first season of the '8th doctor adventures' audio dramas and i loved them. i fell very much in love with the 8th doctor and his voice is so soothing and gorgeous. i still haven't watched his film, and i only through through season 1, possibly season 2, of his audio dramas before the hyperfixation faded or idk what happened but i drifted off from listening to them.

and then it's 2024 and i hear that the doctor's kissed a boy. not the first time he's done that, but the last proper kiss between him and another man happened in 2005 so it still felt big to me, and i think it was big to have an episode with a queer male love story plotline from and center (which it shouldn't be, that shouldn't be a big deal but that is still not common to see on a major tv show in the uk airing on our biggest main tv channel). so i watched rogue (the episode). and i loved rogue (the episode and the character). i miss rogue (the character). i hope to see rogue again but i feel it's unlikely. and i loved the 15th doctor too, i think he's fun and idk how to describe it but he feels safe and comfy to me. so i went back and watched his first episode, the christmas special, and i had mixed feelings on the plot and the random singing and the goblins, i did like 15 and i did like ruby, i like their friendship and i liked seeing the doctor be allowed to be emotional and cry.

but. sadly, the entire time i was watching the the 15th doctor episodes that feeling was still in the back of my mind, as if i had almost trauma from what the show did to me as a young child, and i tried to keep watching the season but every time i tried, every time i watched clips from the show or the 14th doctor specials, that dread and anxiety still game to the back of my brain and i couldn't watch more than a little before i started feeling mentally kinda sick. which is a shame. i would love to be able to watch the current season, i'd love to be able to watch the specials and see 10 again, but i can't because my brain sees the same characters or monsters or tropes or even just the tardis and goes 'beep beep red alert thing that caused us trauma as a child' and i struggle to watch it, and watching doctor who isn't a necessity and so i don't watch it to save myself the mental stress.

but i loved 9, and i still do. i loved 10, but i think if you'd asked me as a kid i'd have said 10 was my favourite, but as i've gotten older i've appreciated 9 a lot more and might say i like him more than 10 now. i love 15. but who takes the prize as prince's favourite doctor? the one with the least video media, the one with a singular movie and short film, the 8th doctor. i love him so much. listening to the audio dramas didn't give me the same anxiety that watching the show does, maybe because i can't see what's happening idk. though i've spoken before about how i have to be careful watching any shows or films because of my mental health, i almost always dissociate and experience de-realisation after watching a show due to being so sucked in or hyper empathy for fictional things or something that just makes me not okay and out of it for hours after watching something. but i don't recall that happening while listening to the audio dramas, though i also haven't listened to them post-being unable to mask all the time anymore and post-autistic burnout so maybe now they would effect me idk. i'd love to listen to them again and finish the rest of his audio dramas if it's possible for me too.

and if anyone hasn't listened to the audio dramas, i would so recommend them. there's audio dramas for most doctors, both old and new who, and they're loads of them. literally loads. hundreds. and spin off audio dramas for sarah jane, unit, torchwood and probably more.

so that was a long way of saying it's 8. and i don't know if i would ever do doctor who audios. like i've explained, the show can be difficult for me mentally despite liking it. i've had requests to voice 10, but i don't think i could capture his mannerisms, i had enough trouble trying to voice crowely and feeling like i wasn't getting anywhere close to tennant's voice. i don't feel like i understand or remember any other doctor well other than 8, and i firstly don't think many would be interested in my voicing him and secondly i'm not sure i would want too? voicing him would mean delving back into doctor who and i still don't know if the audio dramas would triggering any anxiety and sometimes when i love a character and they're a comfort character i don't want to voice them, i want to keep them for me, and he might be one of those. i would have no interest in trying to voice any character other than 8, and i'm not sure i want too voice 8.

ROUND THREE: Night Terror VS Altalune

Deputy Silva Omar (still a FC5 OC) still primarily lives in her residence, as that's her safe place, but throughout the Reaping and going from region to region, she can't really go back to it a lot (for obvious reasons).

Dutch's Bunker is the first location outside her home that she stays in, but not as often since she's busy liberating the other regions. She mostly just calls Dutch to get advice or news.

In Holland Valley, Silva takes rest in the Rye's home in the spare room (or the lounge, either one). Occasionally Mary May lets her crash in the upstairs room of the Spread Eagle, especially if Silva's heavily injured (which happens quite a lot). Silva doesn't like to sleep in places she doesn't know or where she's not guaranteed to be safe. She's tried, but given her night terrors and paranoia on the chance of enemies getting the drop on her (plus the insomnia), she can't really get a good rest until she makes it to a protected area. She especially can't stand going to Rae-Rae's farm, mostly because it's her (first Hope County) friend's death place and Peggies took over it yet again. Even when the Resistance steals John's Ranch, Silva doesn't at all live in it since it wasn't local property and it leaves a bad taste in her Tumultite mouth; stealing something that was never hers to begin with.

Silva also goes to Kamski's Clinic (a hidden bunker near the bridge that connects between Holland Valley and the Henbane River), where her old family friend will let her crash (and try to convince her to stay down there with him while the county tears itself apart) or to get medical attention (because Kamski's a skillfully "Good Doctor" and medic in spite of being self-trained).

In the Whitetail Mountains, Silva will either stay in the Wolf's Den, her residence or even her late half-sister's lodge that is a bit further up in the mountains (because Elsa really liked the sense of power) if Silva really wants to rest undisturbed (though there is an emotional hurt there considering Elsa is dead). Silva tried to crash at Fort Drubman but she threw that idea out the window with Hurk Drubman Sr.'s attitude towards her. Meanwhile she is forcibly taken to St Francis by Alexander Khaos (a Chosen OC who's Jacob's right hand who is often sent out to drag Silva back to the veteran's center), and well, it's not a place she wants to be in for obvious reasons.

In the Henbane River, her options are limited to just the Hope County Jail and the trailer park Sharky crashes in, since every where else has Bliss, Angels + Priestesses (and a certain illusion of a pretty and cunning herald Silva has mixed feelings towards) wandering about. Joseph's Compound is still off-limits.

So yeah... that's an update on Silva's safe (and unsafe) places in Hope County.

(Also in the fic her home gets shot up when Eden's Gate discovers its location).

A question for the people in the Far Cry 5 fandom who have developed their Deputy (or other OCs): Where do you imagine they live/sleep in Hope County?
