Name: Zerpy

Pronouns: xey/them

Personality:

A little cold and prickly, defensive when interacting with strangers. They're bold and can be a little demanding at times. They were used to a life of being deeply respect, as well as extremely advanced technology, so sometimes xey act a little unimpressed at things. When xey warm up, they don't lose that boldness, but it becomes much more friendly. Xey can be a little mean when joking around and tend to tease as a sense of humour, but xey don't mean harm. They're incredible passionate about their interests, and determined to protect things of importance to them. Xey would fight tirelessly for a loved one, or what they believe as right.

Backstory

Zerpy was a commander in their planets forces, xer strong sense of justice worked well with their job of protecting. Their kind were incredibly advanced as a species, the apex predator. You were an ally who they fiercely protected, or an enemy who was mercilessly eradicated. Their boastful and overconfident nature and confidence was their downfall however, believing themselves to be incapable of falling. Unrest made them a prime target for dark matter, feeding on the negativity caused by fighting. In an already weakened state they were attacked, full of themselves and caught off guard, they stood their ground instead of fleeing. Zerpy was knocked unconscious for days until xey finally came to. When xey awoke everything had gone dark and silent. They managed to board a ship and flee, unable to take time to look for possible survivors. Currently Zerpy hops through different universes, looking for a solution to their problem of not being able to safely return and what they'll do then they do finally return, if there even is anything left to return to.

OWO what's this?

Just an animatic for the @kirbyoctournament that's a propaganda piece for my OC Peony featuring not one, not two, not three... but 54 other contestants!

I'll put a list of all featured OCs under the cut. I'm sorry if I didn't manage to fit yours in! There are so many OCs in this tourney I absolutely adore. Maybe if Peony makes it through to Round 5 I'll do another propaganda animatic featuring even more OCs.

It was a blast getting to draw so many people's OCs! I'd love to do something similar again in the future. There are seriously so many awesome characters featured in the tourney that this is barely even scratching the surface. I hope everyone enjoyed their little cameos!

What does/would Zerpy think about any of Kirby’s friends, but especially Gooey? And have xey heard of Elfilis?

"Dont get me started on this guy... he's arrogant and egotistical, so fake. His spell casting is wasteful and inefficient, its like he taught himself. And that stupid ship of his that he holds so dearly! That junk can't even travel universes, what good is it? Dimensional travel is childs play. And then there's his aggressive branding... I've never met someone so in love with themselves. He puts that blue and gold pattern on everything he touches. What a piece of work he is, his only silver lining is he knows how to stand up for himself I suppose, don't tell him I said that."

"Gooey is... I don't trust it. It may be tame, but I would rather keep my distance from such a thing."

"As for Elfilis, yes, I'm aware of them. It's a shame they lost that immense power, if they are able to regain it, I'd love to consider them my equal someday."

Zerpy has a bit of a rivalry with Magolor, but I mean can you blame xem? There's only enough room in a universe for one spellcasting tech alien kitty.

Man, sorry for the yap fest, I spent a while trying to figure out how I'd answer this one. I hope it clears up your question! so, this is zerpy's ref. they're my 2nd oldest kirby oc i believe, and i just recently gave xem a lil redesign!

their whole thing is that they come from a universe thats different from my main one, a universe where dark matter was not stopped, and it has consumed that universe, making it uninhabitable. xey fled, and haven't settled down in a new universe yet. they tend to travel from one universe to another.

xey don't actually have wings naturally, but rather possess something akin to a dimensional cape but on a much grander scale. the inside not only allows them to teleport by wrapping themselves in it, but the whole cape is designed to work as camouflage when they're flying through space. also, fun fact, their helmet is based on the Nebula Arcanum weapon from terraria! That's also where xer alias comes from, Nebula Mage! However I think xey would be a combination of the space ranger and the mecha abilities with some additional magic perhaps.
