How do Hannah and Janet spend their days in the complex? Do they ever get bored?

another great question! While there’s no internet and minimal contact with the outside world (with the exception of when Medusa sends monsters to go and rescue other monsters), boredom is hard to come by!

(Also I apologize, I got back into the art block so all of these doodles are hasty and not very good)

Hannah spends the bulk of her time reading in Medusa’s well-stocked library. She enjoys both reading by herself and being read to by the little kid monsters, who more or less treat her like a human jungle gym.

If Hannah isn’t reading she’s sleeping, because it’s actually quite exhausting to exist behind humanity’s natural size. Janet likes talking to Hannah, and also cooking. She’s not very good at it (yet) but her gorgon-ness means that she can taste it when she smells it, which is opening a lot of avenues for her.

The other thing the girls have been trying to do is help each other get over their fears. Hannah doesn’t like being surprised (so movies with lots of jumpscares tend to freak her out). If Janet isn’t there to talk her through it, she won’t watch them.

Janet is very afraid of deep water—so unless Hannah is there with her, touching the bottom, she won’t even get in.

that’s what the two get up to! Of course, boredom is inevitable and happens every once in a while, but they keep themselves pretty busy.
