I got reminded that ‘Night at the Museum’ exists, which naturally means I remembered that Chest Bump exists (aka Octavediah or Jedtavius, to use the more modern ship names), just, oh man. I don’t know what it is about that tiny Roman general and cowboy, but it’s 100% one of those ships that never leaves you, it just goes on the back burner every now and then. I don’t know what it is about their dynamic that works so well, just that it really does! <3

The room is dimly lit, and there seems to be music playing distantly from another room. In the middle of the room, a cowboy and a Roman soldier are sleeping. Jedediah has curled himself up, his cowboy hat laying near him. Octavius' arms are gently wrapped around Jedediah, his forehead softly pressing against his partner's. The soldier looks to be protecting the cowboy, making sure that he's safe. His helmet is right next to Jed's hat.

I wanted to have something done for pride, and this was sitting in my WIPs and didn't seem like too much work to complete, but damn if I didn't spend many hours on this overall. It was traced over from a scene in the movies, but the coloring is all mine. I'm proud of it, and I hope you enjoy this!

*Octavius and Jedediah pause in front of the computer. They exchange looks, guiltily knowing that there is one last question in their inbox they have been neglecting to answer. After a moment of deliberation, they look at the question*

Jedediah: So that’s their proposition, eh?

Octavius: Seems more like a demand to me!

Jedediah: *chuckling* Naw, they’re jus’ eager.

Octavius: Eager to see us kiss?

Jedediah: *grins* Seems so, Kemosabe.

*Octavius lets out a sigh, contemplating whether they should comply with the question or not*

Jedediah: It’s our last question, partner, we should probably do as they ask.

Octavius: Dear Venus…yes, I suppose. *He smiles* They could ask worse of us.

Jedediah: Yeah! *He gestures towards himself, and unbuttons the top button of his shirt* They could’ve asked us to–

Octavius: Jed. Why must your mind always go there?

Jedediah: *laughs, and takes Octavius’ hand* I’m jus’ makin’ a point.

Octavius: *smiles* I understand. Well, shall we?

Jedediah: ‘Course!

*The two miniatures smile at each other, and Octavius takes Jedediah’s other gloved hand in his own. He tips Jedediah’s hat over his face playfully, but readjusts it before Jed complains. Octavius and Jedediah kiss*

Jedtavius on the Road to Eldorado

@atomicdangos I think this little fanfic idea might be interesting for you. So i was listening to thesongs of The Road to Eldorado and suddenly i had this plot for a Jedtavius Fanfic in which Jed, Octy and all the other Romans and Westerns are having a movie night together and watch of course the road to eldorado. The next night, the romans and the western who secretly sll ship Jed and Octy and want them to kiss make the genius plan in which they fake a map to eldorado and give it to Jed and Octy, who are super hyped about it because: Hey we can now find the city of gold like tulio and miguel in the movie! So they go of on their own little adventure through the whoule museum and end up in the Maya diorama, because the others couldn't think of another alternative for Eldorado.

*Jedediah and Octavius, while loitering around the museum looking for something to do, decide to return to the computer and answer one of the remaining questions in their ask box. Jedediah reads it aloud*

Octavius: Is that not something they should do on their own, though…?

Jedediah: Y’know, I kinda have to agree with you on this one, partner.

Octavius: We did require some, ah, persuasion…to take initiative, but we had our reasons. Et omne deliberatus fuit.

Jedediah: Right! *puts on his thinking face* What’s that phrase Gigantor says….oh yeah! Do what I say, but not as I do!

Octavius: *laughs* Yes, that is the one. 

*The two miniatures go silent for a moment*

Octavius: But perhaps…for the sake of the question…

Jedediah: Y’think so?

Octavius: Maybe we shall usher them into the same room for a few hours. That is something that we could do.

Jedediah: *grins* An’ lock the door? Dexter’ll be willin’ to help!

Octavius: *smiles* Alright. Then we will do that as a compromise.

Translation:
