Watched a live stage performance of Garfeld The Musical (a Garfield parody) by Teddy Grey today.

I didn’t know what to expect walking into it except that it was rated M for mature audiences.

If I’ll be honest I was excited to see Garf swear like a sailor roll and blunt and maybe even do a fat bong rip with all the attitude of a washed up divorced dad.

Nothing could have prepared me for the reality of this show. Let alone the bat shit insane execution by a local college student theater program.

I will not be summarizing the play and instead I will be encouraging you to click this link below and see the original performance yourself to get a taste of what I just experienced today. While I doubt it can compare to the horrific honor of seeing it life, I will warn you this affront of god is not for the faint of heart.

Maybe this is what its like just having a crush? I'm still figuring it out but being around each other for a bit brought forth a lot of clarity. Whats crazy is that it was...cool? It was more than that, I'd say it was quite chill, which was honestly what I expected after the past few days. I mainly, possibly childishly, wanted it to be clear that I didn't have to talk to him--that I could walk by and ignore, that I could also give short answers. That my attention wasn't owed. Once I felt I had made my point (regardless if there was even a point that needed making) it became easier.

Earlier in the day we had a pretty pleasant conversation. Yeah pleasant is the perfect word to describe it. Again, it was chill. I don't feel like he feels the same, but I guess there's some fondness---which I'm realizing is fine. At first I just didn't know, now I have a better idea.

I can see now that having a cr*sh on him was understandable, he's a chill guy. Soft-spoken and kind. I can also see that there's nothing down this road that I really need--I can let it be a feeling that washes away. I keep seeing a visual of two ships passing in the night. We can stare at each other as we pass each other but I won't drop my anchor if you wont.

Could we be friends that hang out? Sure, I honestly enjoyed our convos. Thankfully I just...don't feel tied to this anymore. He's literally just some guy, no need for the invisible pedestal.
