Love y horses so much. Winnie's getting some more work on the ground while she gets used to the heat (10 minute easy lunge had her working up a sweat) and she's being such a good sport while i implement some new techniques. Really likes getting moved to new spots in the arena and I'm so glad my trainer gave me that tip to keep her engaged mentally

Penny had her first bath clipped into the washrack from the start and she was SUCH a trooper. Some wiggles but honestly less than i see from some adult horses!! Hoping she'll be ready mentally for a soap bath tomorrow but time is the issue there (baby brain means u have to work fast so u don't hit or push past their tolerance) so. We'll see.

#honestly I'm so lucky to have such cool horses and every day I'm thankful that my read on Winnie's behavioral issues was correct #i got MAD judgement when i bred her but like... she'd been a broodmare for 19 years!! she knew nothing but have babies and be pretty!#of course there would be issues with integrating her into an amateur sporthorse lifestyle!#but she figured it out and honestly has started to enjoy walks around the property that double as light hill work #and i can see her quality brain and base temperament reflected in penny #but i also made a good choice of stud to really make sure id get an easy going willing to please foal #like i always say!! only breed em if you're willing to have a carbon copy of either horse #horse talk
