being given roles and expectations (as a hero/boyfriend/etc) based on that/how he looks and squeezing himself down into those expectations

being torn between duty/obligation (even and perhaps especially of the self-imposed variety) and his own sense of self

feeling like he outlived his purpose after coming back from the dead and not knowing what he's supposed to be now that he's done the superman thing (maybe even feeling like he needs the unbearable weight of expectation because without a job to do or a box to fit into he might dissolve into nothing because he's always avoided examining who he is when there's nobody he has to be i wonder why that is)

people who stopped liking naruto (the character and show both) due to naruto's focus on sasuke just make me laugh. they think that this somehow diminishes naruto's character, since his dream of becoming hokage is no longer priority.

you can't view naruto as this unchanging entity. yes he's the main character and yes it was ingrained into our brains in the first chapters and arcs that he wants to become hokage. that was his way of saying he wants to be acknowledged and respected. as a child, he seen that the hokage received these things, so naturally that's what set the example. "hokage" was the title of what he desired. but most of all... unbeknownst to him, being understood and loved was his real desire. the actual genuine kind.

the opening arc that sets the tone for the entire story is the land of waves. we immediately get the parallel between haku/zabuza and naruto/sasuke. haku made naruto think more deeply, telling him that beyond acknowledgement and respect there is something so much more valuable. to be understood, loved, and cared for. and within that same arc that is what sasuke shows and gives to naruto. sasuke himself seemingly unaware of his own feelings, his body 'just moved on it's own'.. his instinct made him protect what was precious to him. dreams, future, none of that matters, it dissipates entirely from your mind when you are trying to protect and save what is most precious to you. and for sasuke, that most precious person is naruto.

upon reading/watching this for the first time, the narrative does not let you understand why sasuke came to love naruto this much until later down the line of the story. but right off the bat, kishimoto immediately makes you know that there is something there he feels for naruto so strongly, to the point that it would make a character like sasuke (very goal focused, revenge based, nonchalant about mostly everything else) give up his life for him, disregarding what he shows in the majority of the plot to be his biggest dream: killing itachi.

as the story goes on, again and again naruto witnesses sasuke having these deep emotions for him, for his comrades. love and protection. he learns more about love because of sasuke.. he learns more about his own emotions through sasuke.

sasuke tells naruto that he doesn't understand what losing or having family ties feels like, as naruto never had a family. this is why naruto's desire to be acknowledged and respected at the beginning was more shallow than he had realized. yes, hokage would give you those things, but genuine understanding and love only comes from real connection.

so naruto slowly starts to realize that what actually fulfills him is not becoming hokage, but sasuke. his dream becomes sasuke. sasuke is who understands him, sasuke is who acknowledges him as a person, acknowledges his efforts and courage amongst how lonely he knows naruto feels. naruto now knows that the love and acknowledgment he would get from becoming hokage does not compare to the specific, intimate, personal bond he has with sasuke. he knows that nothing and nobody else can make him feel how sasuke does.

this realization impacts naruto so greatly that he spends the rest of the time chasing sasuke. because sasuke is the first one to open his heart, the first to make him feel comfort upon just being himself. why wouldn't sasuke become his dream? it was destined from the beginning.

theres a bedrock edition loading screen tip that says something along the lines of "eat as much as you want, you'll never get full! And you'll never starve" that is high-key haunting to me. wtf do you mean by that minecraft. what do you mean by that. anyways I'm just gonna go through some of bedrock edition's creative mode-exclusive loading screen tips because my heart is telling me they're parkciv evbo coded (postcanon, at least) and I need to talk about it

(also, all of these sections are written with the assumption of parkciv evbo reading them. I know that doesn't make sense because it's java edition and also they're loading screen tips but shhhh lemme have my angst in peace)

(double also, there's an episode in between both seasons that isn't included in the compilation movies. if you haven't watched it, you should, because it's actually really lore relevant! It's called "Minecraft but I discover the HISTORY of PARKOUR CIVILIZATION" and idk why it wasn't in the movies so there's that. it's relevant to this ramble :])

"Bored of gravity? Jump twice to fly!" does this mean, to evbo, "jump twice and you'll never have to jump again"? does this mean to him that he's made it to the top? is it a blessing or a curse to be able to simply stop jumping and just keep going around? would he be sad to know that he is the only one who can experience this? would he be upset to know that this power could've been given to everyone, to the starving and the sick, that jumping doesn't need to matter? or would it feel like cheating to him? would he refuse to fly because he's gotten this far without it?

"Summon mobs in an instant with spawn eggs" food is there at the use of an item. you can have hundreds of cows, chickens, pigs, animals he's never seen or imagined. he was left to starve. his friends were left to starve. the champion, and the parkour god, have the power to feed everyone forever. no one did it before he did. side note, I think that that's how each level can have food without anyone necessarily having to work. but anyways. how angry would you be to find out that your starvation could've been fixed with one item. one simple action. your friends could've been safe if not for the neglect of those above you

skipping straight to what's listed as number 9 on the wiki because the ones in between the last one and this one don't interest me but "You can't die, but villagers can. Use that information... wisely." is simply a horrifying statement in general in my humble opinion. like, you can't die. but everyone else can. everyone else is subject to the horrors of death. everyone else will be gone, someday. the people you love don't live forever, but you do. you will outlive everyone you've ever loved and ever will love and there's nothing you can do about that. horrific possibility and I've seen this concept used before so I know other people have come to this conclusion but still

now, there's another good one but I think I want to come back to that one later, so to number 15 we go I think :) "Who needs tools? Punch your way to success and remove blocks instantly in creative mode." remember how under the evil champion, noobs weren't allowed to break blocks? yeah I bet you do. Evbo would probably remember that too. from being able to break nothing to being able to break through any barrier, any wall. no wall can stop you, cell bars can't keep you in(this also ties into number 14 with the same theme, and 14 is this: "Move through solid objects using spectator mode." I didn't feel like it was enough to talk about by itself so here it is!!), you're free forever. walls are a suggestion. you can go wherever you want and do whatever you want forever and ever and ever and just a few months ago any small privilege or right could be taken from you. no one can stop you anymore.

next up I'm looking at number 17 and also I think in the same vein is number 5, so I'll go over both here really. number 17 is "Get there now with the /tp command." and number 5 is "Try blinking around the map with an ender pearl. Don't get dizzy!" I feel like these two are related for the sake of this post because imagine being able to just go. just leave! get outta here! go wherever you want instantly! you can go an infinite distance in no time at all. you never have to do the parkour to get between layers again. this could've saved lives. this could've protected people. but instead people fall into the void and die. people are hurt. do you think this is where Evbo got the idea for teleporting people back to the parkour temple when they die in the void? do you think Evbo wishes someone set this up before his friends fell to the void?

I don't have a ton to say about number 20 but I do still want to bring it up. "Why not build an underwater base? It's not like you can drown." is one of the messages that are very flippant about things that would usually kill you. "you can't die, so why not try things you never could before?" is how this one reads to me at least. so many more options, so many infinite options, there's so much. you don't even need to breathe anymore, so is anything really a threat to you? everything should be so much less terrifying, but you were still born mortal. that would be pretty hard to get past I think.

similar to that one is number 23, and there are a couple I'll come back to but I'd like to try to keep similar ones near each other. "Have you tried swimming in lava? It's like sinking into a warm bath. Just don't try it in survival mode..." is also a very "you can't die so just do shit" message. this one I added separately, though, because I think the lava aspect is interesting to tie into parkour prison. lava doesn't hurt you anymore, it's warm, it's fine, try it. maybe it'll reassure you that no one else who died there felt pain when dying even though you know that's a lie. maybe you'll feel less bad for surviving where they didn't.

second to last is number 21, "Whatever you can dream, you can build. There's no limit to your resources (in creative mode...)." I feel like this one ties into the way that noobs had basically nothing at all, and that even as you go up the ranks no one has infinite resources except perhaps the champion and the parkour god. as a noob there is nothing you can own, you cannot even pick up blocks, and your food is always raw. you have a house but if you're gone too long they'll sell it for a higher price and you'll never get it back. as a pro sure you can have blocks and your food is cooked but if you don't do your tasks then you die. you starve or you are killed. even as a master you still have to work for things; you may have the most out of any layer but nothing is unlimited. do you think this is why Evbo made food infinitely available on every layer after becoming champion? or at least part of the reason?

the last one I'm covering is number 13. I wanted to save the best for last and y'all are gonna hate me for this one. number 13 is "Eat as much as you want, you'll never get full! And you'll never starve." I think y'all can guess where I'm going with this one. this is also the one that I saw while loading into one of my own minecraft worlds that made me go on this dive! but just. imagine being Evbo and just seeing this. you'll never starve again. you'll never have to, you'll never be able to. but neither will you ever truly be full again. you don't get to. you don't have to starve but you'll never be full. others still starve, others still get full, but you will never do either of those again. freeing and devastating at the same time. just. idk man if I were good at writing fanfic I'd make this a fanfic but alas I am not good at fanfic

tldr because this is a long ass post:I think Evbo as a character would be really fucked up upon learning just how little can hurt him upon becoming a god. I especially think he'd be really angry at just how easy it really was for the previous parkour god to prevent all the suffering he and his friends went through and how little said god actually did. maybe one day I'll read over the other lists of loading screen tips and make headcanons about some of those because there's certainly at least a few that I can have thoughts about

So, about Gamma.

With so many personalities in one robot, how do they manage to keep themselves together? Here's how I think it works! (With pictures too!)

So here we see the hierarchy within Gamma, Gamma/DWLN-24A at the very top with everyone else below. However, DWLN-24A lacks his own personality so he needs to borrow the personalities of the 7 other robots. But since all 7 have different and conflicting personalities, they can't present them all together.

(Or else you get a lazy, narcissistic, abrasive, foul mouthed, spiteful, luck pushing, forgetful robot! That's not material for a world peace robot)

It would be way to easy for all the bad traits of the 3rd numbers to stack within Gamma, therefore, DWLN-24A has a special system to sort all the traits that exist within themselves.

Some traits are dominant, while other traits are recessive. (That's right! It's inheritance!)

No matter how many recessive negative traits there may be, the dominant trait will always be presented.

However, if there's only recessive and neutral traits...

Ok i couldn't actually think of an instance where only a negative trait and neutral traits are present. (Spark man your traits are way too dominant!)

So here's just an example, if we counted "looking down on bad dancers" as a bad trait rather than an opinion.

Usually a negative trait will be recessive while positive traits will be dominant. However, not all traits can be categorised as good or bad. Like opinions, so in that case the dominance of an opinion is based on how strongly a robot feels about it.

Which can cause issues sometimes!

You may or may not notice that the problem child here seems to be snake man...which may or may not be foreshadowing.

The thing is, after staying in the same being for so long. Eventually, they'll start kinda...blurring into each other. Losing their individuality. They become more and more what Gamma needs to be. Unused traits don't even show up anymore...and it kinda looks like this

You may also notice the grey text, that represents a neutral trait. When they're only neutral traits, DWLN-24A simply takes the average of all the statements.

After years of being Gamma, most statements are only neutral now. Traits are already permanent, Gamma is very sure about who they are. The 3rd numbers don't feel strongly about much anymore.

Do you understand why Shadow man is so upset now? This is actually horrific...
