You know I support random crackships, you convinced me on StarWaveWave and Arceelita, now tell me what's the appeal of StarOplita because I want to know, let me in on your mind

I'm gonna be honest with you anon, there isn't a very concrete reason for the appeal it's pretty much as simple as I like Starop, I like Oplita and Starscream and Elita are my favourite characters so why not? I guess with crackships there really isn't a reason it's just for the aesthetics.

That and @snowybookwyrm 's fic convinced me that it's really cute.

I suppose if you do want other reasons :

I guess it's the clashing personalities and ideals, taking the appeal I have with both ships(all three ships I suppose, but I'm still understanding the appeal of Starlita alone so for now it's just both their relationships with Optimus), basically all three of them are leaders/have experience in leadership but their views on it are very different this can put them at odds.

Optimus and Elita find a way to work around it, they have mutual trust and respect for eachother and can uplift eachother in a healthy way while working through their faction, I do like the more recent approaches of their relationship being that Elita is more of a pragmatist (or a realist), in contrast to Optimus being more of an optimist. They have known eachother since the very start and have always got eachother's back. Most versions Optimus would sacrifice himself for the world and G1 Elita sacrificed herself for him, and both would sacrifice themselves for Cybertron. Whether that means their lives or just things they hold dearly. They are a literal old married couple, and I would kill for them to have a happy ending. I could go on a rant on why I love them so much but I feel it would make this post longer than it has to be.

With Optimus and Starscream it's more of going around the bits and pieces of whenever we do actually see some good inside him it's usually Optimus who brings it out of him, Starscream does admire Optimus leadership to an extent Armada,Redemption Center etc. In the latter it's very heavily emphasized how he never felt any geniune compassion from anyone for a long time and Optimus going out of his way to defend him when he didn't have his memory stayed with him he wants to be leader but Optimus is the who he sees as an ideal leader (even if he does eventually twist the whole meaning in the end of redemption center). It mostly goes down with Starscream needs someone to be kind and respectful to him without just letting him walk over them, and Optimus could use someone who let's him be selfish once in a while since he has a tendacy to take all the burdens upon himself,(this point could also apply to why I like Oplita too)That and it's funny as heck, the feral cat energy and literally everyone would question Optimus' life choices. It's a he can make him better/he wants to make him worse dynamic.

As for Elita and SS's relationship it's mostly just that of friends, they don't really get along atleast initially, but somewhere down the road they'll find a way to make it work. I feel he would respect her leadership, but wouldn't really admit it. She would know how to verbally deal with him when he's acting delusional, slow burn enemies to lovers esque. My friend is the one who knows about the appeal of this ship so I'm still figuring things out, I'm actually kind of interested in writing this dynamic because there's literally nothing much to go on so you can just write them to be like whatever.

Tldr ; I wanted to write a fic for both ships, I got lazy then I decided wouldn't it be funny to write all three of them together?

Sometimes we can just be silly with our ships. Including creating a whole AU just for it to work lol. That and having an innumerable amount of Optimus ships. Same reason I love MegOpLita and Starbeeblade so I don't have to choose between two ships. MegOpLita my beloved too, I could rant for hours about them. Oh the joys of being a multishipper.

I'm very much a multishipper, but for Classical Branch I always leaned more for Classical Broppy or Bremo. But last night, I was randomly hit over the head with a really cute but dumb idea for Branch and Dante. So...

Imagine on the earliest of early days of Branch living in Symphonyville, a 10 year old Dante that had only know Branch for like 15 minutes thinks he isz in fact, the most enthralling and fascinating troll he has ever meet. His bluntness is chocking yet refreshing, his ways are strange yet charming, his appearance is dull yet oddly special and uniquely his, etc etc. So, in all his childish confidence and bravado, he asks Branch to be his betrothed and Branch having -1 ideas of what that even means, accepts it hoping that it means Dante will finally stop staring at him a really small and innocent-looking hawk.

Once some time has passed and Dante gets hired to be Branch's manners teacher, he realizes that "oh shit Branch absolutely DIDN'T know what he was being asked" so out of pure embarrassment and fear of possible social disgrace for "tricking" the surrogate son of the Lead Composer for his hand in marriage, he decides to just sweep that interaction under the rug and hope that by the time Branch's learns what betrothal means, he would had completely forgotten about his question. And he did.

Until 20 years later, in which he randomly thought about his firsts days in Symphonyville while doing his morning rituals and he slowly goes over his first interaction with Dante "wait... wait a minute. BY THE MUSES' BONES, HOLY SH*T". For a moment he thinks about just doing it like Dante and continue to ignore their "betrothal" for the foreseeable future, but than he realizes he is kinda very much not opposed to marrying his beloved life-long friend technically fiance... But he also wants to get a little revenge for Dante never bringing up this very huge deal and trying to sweep it under the rug for the rest of their lives likely.

And that leads to Branch very publically starting "his and his beloved Dante" wedding preparations, renting the biggest Ball room, visiting the most prestigious and well-know wedding tailors and even doing some long-retired royal wedding preparation traditions, just for the shits and giggles, as they say. Dante obviously comes to confront Branch some time later, since he just woke up one day very drowning in congratulations letters from all his extended family and friends being very confused and the bastard just responds with something along the line of:

"Well my beloved Dante, I'm so very sorry for making the preconception that after 20 long years of betrothal you would have been pleased to finally be united in the eyes of the law, you were the one to ask for my hand in marriage after all. But worry not, we can still delay the ceremony for a quite few moons if that's more aligned with your wishes."

Dante is... quite shocked to say the least, but doesn't actually wish to delay their surprise wedding, what 20 years of embarrassed-fuelled pining doesn't do to a man after all. He only hopes that nobody notices how he shrinks in his chair everytime Branch tells their romantic tale of "love at first sight and their innocent but unbroken promise to one day be married when they were just small children".

I read this like three times before publishing because I love it so much.

Tiny Dante's joy at being betrothed to Branch, only for the horror/embarrassment/disappointment to learn Branch has no clue what that even is.

Forte being upset Dante never told him he was betrothed and Dante having to be like "My most darling brother, I must tell you a story, but you musn't laugh."

Aaah my comfort ship, this takes me back!! I've started shipping it the same year I found out about Undertale. It would be around early 2016, I believe! I didn't put them in a romantic light right away. I felt that they would have a camaraderie sort of relationship post-pacifist, and the lovey-dovey part comes along later on.

I think, since they were children who are put into an unfamiliar station and they'd have this pressure on them, being instructed by someone they think highly of/a higher power to do what's "right", and they bond over it. This eventually branched into my love for Flowisk as well! For everything that has happened, Asriel -> Flowey signifies a change in personality and the identity of self that not even time can bring back. And despite that, they're working through it <3

That said, I sometimes enjoy other pairings with these two (Charisk, etc), I'm a content multishipper. But Friskriel will always be my OTP and my canon, because they bring me a sense of joy no other ships can give 🥺

Today is all about @oh-stars! In today's Mod Spotlight, we're highlighting Jo and all they bring to this space!!

Jo created this space back in December and handles most of our regular fic recs and scheduling Fic Fridays! As well as making graphics, scheduling the event announcements and calendar, Jo steps in to help where she's needed!

Jo (she/they) has been a fic writer for over ten years, and a mod for seven years. Over the years, she’s written for other fandoms, such as Marvel, but now primarily focuses on Stranger Things — specifically Steddie. She mods the Stranger Things Reverse Big Bang, the Steve Harrington Big Bang, the Eddie Munson Big Bang, and created Steddie Underdog Fics back in December.

What drew you to Steddie?

Truthfully, I couldn’t tell you. I’m a Steve girlie through and through, have been for years, but it’s something about his dynamic with Eddie that just clicked. It’s the same way I feel about all my major ships over the years. To me, and this isn’t a fresh take by any means cause I know I’ve seen others make the name connection, but Steddie has the same energy as Stucky from Marvel, Buddie from 9-1-1, and Superbat from DC, which are the other three big ships I’ve consistently the past few years. I’m a multishipper, can really see the beauty in other ships and dynamics for any of my fandom characters, but there’s something special about Steddie that I just don’t have the words for.

What is your favorite thing about modding this page?

This is so cheesy, but the community! I adore how everyone supports one another and discovering fics and authors I’ve never come across outside of the bubble I’ve found myself in. It’s such a joy being able to uplift authors and share their fics, it trumps all the headaches that can come with modding a page.

What are your favorite tropes to read?

I’m a sucker for kid fics, secret relationships, and hurt/comfort – especially heavy angst with happy endings.

What’s your guilty pleasure trope?

Omegaverse is the safe answer, lol, but probably darker fics? Angstier fics that I have to be super careful with the tags or else I can’t read lol. It’s not something I engage with all the time, but every now and then I go down the Major Character Death tags.

What is your preferred way to read and find fics?

I go through the tags very methodically, especially for a new fandom. With Steddie, it was a bit different since it’s the first time I’ve been around for the start of a ship – or at least paying attention to the ship as it’s forming. So usually I’ll either sort by date updated or word counts, then go through the tag I’m wanting page by page and read back to back. And if I make it through a whole tag, thats when I go to recs to see if I can find something to spark my interest for a new tag. Or for a tag I’d never really read on my own.

What makes a fic an instant yes for you to read?

Word count is a big one, the longer the better, especially if you add in a slow burn tag with a six digit wc. Otherwise, it’s a combination of things like a high word count, mix of slow burn, misunderstandings, happy endings tags, and it being completed, I’ll rarely hesitate.

Anonymous - Is there any older or lesser-known Steddie event from the past few years that you particularly love (if ongoing or recurring) or loved? Did you participate in any?

I really enjoyed the community over at @steddieholidayexchange (and the summer one). I’ve participated in many events over the years, from Steddie BB 2023 and a few other exchanges to ones I’ve modded like the Stranger Things Reverse BB, but that community was special.

@sidekick-hero - What makes a fanfic stand out for you?

How well rounded it is! With fanfic, I don’t want it to just focus on moving the plot forward all the time. Take the scenic route and let the characters breathe as they explore a number of side quests and plots as we navigate the main plot. Give me good dialogue, prose, interesting twists or interactions, and good character moments and I’ll be happy.

@worldswcollide - What advice would you give to someone who is interested in becoming a mod in the future?

Organization is everything and take notes!! Staying consistent with your organization and keeping records of everything will really help keep everything running smoothly. For events like big bangs and reverse big bangs that happen annually or semi-annually, it’s really important to keep a list of what works and doesn’t to improve the next run. Listen to feedback from your participants and see what you can adapt to make it work. Not all feedback has to be followed, but it’s good to try and see how you can improve your event or space. That’s where the records and notes will also come into play so you don’t have to start from scratch on the next one and you can back up what is working with evidence if you need to defend it within the team. Otherwise, just have fun. Don’t take it too seriously. Modding fan pages and events is volunteer work and meant to be fun, so if it isn’t anymore, don’t let it suck the joy out of fandom for you!

Anonymous - Do you participate in any other fannish activities, like making playlists, gif edits, fanart, podcasts, Pinterest boards, etc?

I’ve definitely dabbled in a lot – playlists, fan edits, fan art, animations, book binding, etc – but none that stick around as much as writing. I spend so much time modding I don’t really have the time to do more outside of it.

@sidekick-hero - What motivates you to mod for steddieunderdogfics?

My team and the continued support we get from our loyal supporters! We see the same names reblogging the call to action posts and engaging with the posts, so it’s really encouraging to see that our work has an impact in the fandom!

@worldswcollide -  Are there skills you’ve learned as a mod that have helped you in your everyday life?

I have literally used my modding experience in job interviews. I frame it as event planning and management, with an emphasis on customer service and organization and usually that’s a great talking point for interviews. That being said, it’s really broadened my spreadsheet abilities and organization and I view teamwork in a different way now. As a burnt out gifted kid who took on the brunt of team projects in school, letting people take over work has always been tough so having a trusted team that shows me I can hand things over, its really refreshing. And now I’ve been able to do the same at work!

Anonymous - Have you had a particular favorite Challenge Monday or weekend theme so far (maybe because of the theme, the recs, or the engagement, or for some other reason)?

Okay so a little BTS, but we totally have handpicked some themes for each mod. For my birthday back, we did kid fics for that theme weekend since it fell on that Sunday since it was my favorite trope – and the same has been extended for the other mods’ birthdays. Outside of that, I really like the ones that I don’t expect to get a lot of submissions. And the comment ones, since we try to encourage those submitting the recs to also leave a comment.

@sidekick-hero - What do you like best about fandom?

I’ve said it a few times already, but community. I don’t have the biggest community outside of fandom, so it’s always touching to see how amazing and supportive everyone has been. Social stuff is tough for me, but no matter where I look in fandom spaces, there’s always someone willing to be patient and kind. It’s really changed my life, introducing me to some of the most incredible, impactful people I’ve ever met like @karadanverss, @sparkstar-trash, and @lady-lostmind -- and so many others. No matter how cringe or whatever opinions people have about fandom, I’ll never be shy about my experiences in fandom and with fanfic because of the people I’ve met over the years.

@worldswcollide - If you absolutely HAD to choose—enemies to lovers or friends to lovers? (At least when it comes to Steddie)

This is actually super easy to me, but friends to lovers all the way. I prefer that over enemies to lovers anyway, because that’s a really tough trope for me, but there’s something special about friends to lovers. I love how sweet and gentle it is, especially on a longer slow burn as things trickle into place in a way that just feels right because it’s meant to be. Enemies to lovers, though, is tricky. Rivals are always fun, but actual enemies is a hard line to toe. For me, I feel like the reason they’re enemies is either too light to be true enemies or too heavy that it’s kind of impossible to realistically get past. I like writing both, but I think in the end, I prefer friends to lovers.

Anonymous - Have you seen any interesting or fascinating trends in the ST or Steddie fandom that you'd like to talk about?

For ST and Steddie specifically, no. I think it’s really fun to see how the fandom shifts as a wave. Like post S4 drop, we were all about the fix-its and canon fics, time loops were massive and the kas theory was really hitting after the last two eps. Then I feel like we’re constantly going in and out of tropes as a whole, while the staples are always constant. But all of that is pretty standard across any fandom so it’s hard to really pinpoint.

@sidekick-hero - What made you create Steddie Underdog Fics?

Steddie Big Bang 2023. That was a monster of a bang and between how big it ended up being as well as the nature of how Steddie exploded, I felt a little helpless. I was super lucky to have gotten a lot of attention on one of my fics, but I really attribute that to timing, length, and how quickly I got it written. Do I think it deserves how much love and attention it got? No, there are so many other amazing works that feature new ideas and concepts, with interesting takes on canon or the characters, that should have just as much attention as that fic received. But the bigger the ship got, the easier it was for fics to slip under the radar. I’m still very lucky to have dedicated readers on my works, but at the time, I was really struggling with my Steddie BB fic. I was struggling with some negativity on it and seeing other authors worry about their own fics because they weren’t getting feedback, then one thing led to another and I was creating the blog before I could really process it.

Anonymous - Have you seen a rec method like it in other places before or was there just a general desire to help highlight things lost in the large growth of the Steddie fandom?

@steddieficfind’s format of crowdsourcing helped shape how I wanted to go about this space. At the time, while I was reading a lot, most of the fics I was reading were ongoing updates or from the same few authors, and a lot were oneshots. So I would go on rec lists and @steddieficfindto find new fics that I may have missed when going through my usual tags, because summaries aren’t always accurate. I know I struggle with my own fics’ summaries, but seeing how a reader sees a fic versus the author can really help bring in new perspectives. Thinking about that, I decided that having other people share their recs and highlight fics in a new light other than the author’s summary could be an interesting take on the rec space.

@sidekick-hero - Do you look for different things in fanfic when you're reading it than when you're writing it?

Oh yes, I’m way more critical about my own fic than the ones I’m reading. With my work, I’m trying to get to a destination while my reading choices are about the journey. I just want to enjoy the fic and see what happens, I’m not criticizing word choice or looking at the craft as a whole. Sometimes its hard to shut that off, but I really try to separate the two.

@worldswcollide - How did you transition from writing fic to taking on such big projects?

I’m a bit of a workaholic when it comes to fandom stuff. I’ll do the bare minimum in my jobs (because they’re super low stakes, let’s be real) so I can devote a lot of energy to writing and modding my events and this page. That being said, I usually hyper focus on the newest project for a minute before I take a more balanced approach. It helps having teams that can support me, especially with ongoing projects like this one. There were so many times where I nearly deleted this space because it got too overwhelming on my own, even as I added more and more to it. I couldn’t be doing this without @spicysix and @verdantcactus. They’re willingness to help, earnest interest, and brilliant ideas on how we can work the space has been a game changer. I can’t thank them enough for taking on this project with me, for continuing to absolutely nail it week after week. So thank you both so very much!!

Anonymous - What is it about Bang events that draws you in, especially as a mod?

It’s addicting. Genuinely. I’ve been doing them for seven years now across a handful of fandoms. Modding is just so fun for me, it helps me engage more with new people in ways I’m too intimidated to try as just a participant. And again, the community is really nice within events, especially with everyone cheering each other on as we hit milestones and deadlines. I really appreciate that support and getting the opportunity to support others to try new things.

@sidekick-hero - What's the best feedback you've ever gotten (could be about your writing or being a mod)?

This is really tough! It’s one of two, both were from my favorite writing professor. It’s more advice than feedback about my work specifically, but it’s something I’m constantly thinking about, especially now when I’m a bit stuck writing wise as a whole. The first is that writing is a muscle, not a talent. You can always improve and get better the more you practice, but in the same vein that it’s harder to lift 50lbs when you don’t lift that much all the time, you can lose it too. Writing a little bit each day, even if it's a sentence or two at a time, will be better than letting it rest, because you can’t edit a blank page. And as long as you’re thinking about the story, playing around with what you’ll do next, what worked in a past scene or you want to change in another, that counts too. It’s still writing even if you’re not getting actual words down. The second is that if you’re blocked, look up the page. The answer is almost always two or three paragraphs before you stopped, or in bigger works, sections ahead. Finding the problem may be harder than expected, but it’s always there.

Oh, also a response to kitten-kokomo

I generally don't like engaging in ships that have such a power dynamic that "canon" CodeGold would have. Having an abuser date their victim just...makes my stomach churn and my skin crawl. I have dabbled in Juzi and PurpleMalice, but in those, both sides are biting. For how many people portray toxic CodeGold, it's just J yelling and hitting N while he tries to be nice for her, which brings me nothing but misery instead of joy.

the exact reason for me not engaging with abusive CodeGold is that, while like you said it's fake, just like all other forms of proshipping it can mold people's views of relationships. It can desensitize them to abuse and possibly make them think it's okay if their partner abuses them, or they abuse their partner. This, pretty obviously, is horrible and why I don't support proshipping. I know someone's gonna be like "Why do you support CodeGold then?" Again, only non-abusive versions where J is at most a tsundere during the actual relationship and prior to it. Saying she doesn't like him or spitting harsh words but not meaning it, kinda like how a certain purple worker drone is portrayed in some fics (I still think Nuzi is infinitely more wholesome though, don't worry. CodeGold very much only makes up 1% of my shipping, 99% of my other shipping stuff is in-line with a lot of other MD multishippers, mainly because I consider most other ships like Nuzi, Nuziv, Vhad, Jhad, Dizzy, etc, to be much more interesting and engaging than CodeGold). There are actually ways to write it to not be a proship unlike something like some forbidden ship I will not say since I don't want to subject you all to it, I'll just say reddit is a big fan of making jokes about it from what I've heard (c'mon redditors, get it together)

with all that being said, I will once again reiterate I do not enjoy CodeGold with such a skewed power dynamic. Nor do I like interpretations where N likes getting stepped on, I know it can be funny to say he enjoyed it in the pilot because he says thank you, but if you actually put any thought into it it's clearly because his self worth has been crushed to this point which is...quite sad.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The Other Side of the Moon which is about Kotone (of Persona 3) trapped on the other side of the door her twin brother became, fending off Nyx. The idea was that the Arisato Twins were in SEES together, but when they sacrificed themselves she got shut out on the wrong side of the Sea of Souls keeping Nyx bound and in check, and thus faded out of everyone's cognition. It's about her being forgotten.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? 

oh gosh that's a really interesting question. I have a lot of shorts with happy endings. Maybe The Departure of the Great Returned Soul ? It's a Bunny and Raffles fic that ties in with the Great Ace Attorney, where they do a heist on the request of the mysterious Professor Moriarty. It ends with them gleefully escaping on a steamship together to start a life away from the oppressive English atmosphere after just having robbed the HECK outta Sherlock Holmes.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Only once, when someone jumped down my throat about one of my fics :shrug: Mostly I just get weird spam. Once someone dropped their whole idea of how they thought my xmen fic should be for three huge comments and I was just like 'what'.

9. Do you write smut?  Quite a lot <3

10. Craziest crossover? uhhhhhhh, none written yet but how about this! Pathologic fanfic where Tomoko from Watamote gets isekaied into the Town on Gorkhon to fix it , and she was the only one the fates could pull. She teaches Nina Kaina's ghost what a fujoshi is. I'm planning on writing this one eventually.

14. All time favourite ship? MULTISHIPPER :D hehe, I ship so many things. But I'll be nice and answer OLDEST ship. Which is Lum x Ataru from Urusei Yatsura. My first big ship that I can clearly remember.

15. What’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Probably Only Yesterday V_V It was a metal gear solid fix it fic about Dr. Strangelove rigging a time machine and going back to her NASA days to try and save Joy.

16. What are your writing strengths?  Dialogue and characterization ^^ I'm often told i have the 'voice' of a character pretty down pat.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'm a shit tier editor and tend to misuse commas in my excitement.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?  I try not to because if I don't know the language I don't want to google translate butcher it. I'd feel bad.

19. First fandom you wrote in?  uhh...gosh, going all the way back to my unpublished notebook fanfic? probably Ace Attorney with my goofy FanAttorney . Published, I think it's Metal Gear, with Only Yesterday.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? oh gosh don't make me choose! it's cruel!!! Deicide so far has been a blast to write (One piece) , but it's not far enough along for me to say that one. I'm going to go niche here to bring eyes to a very special project of ours though: Fly Me To The Moon It's an Urusei Yatsura continuation set after their high school graduation. Lum convinces everyone to go to space with her as part of her plan to finally get Ataru to understand Oni behavior, only for Shinobu to find out she's not only an alien descendant, but also the last heiress to the kingdom that once prospered on the Moon. Shenanigans, a polycule, and unique Oni sexuality ensue as for once SHINOBU is the one some rando space prince is trying to kidnap to marry.

Oh, the joy of being a multishipper, you have no idea how much I want to turn this into dark romance but can't. BUT. There will be something fun to come up for Luigi.

Fic Writer 20 Questions

1.) How many works do you have on ao3?

104 (it's not all fics, a few are fanvids. I do have a lot more fics in Italian not posted on Ao3, though.)

2.) What’s your ao3 word count?

3.) What fandoms do you write for?

A lot, I'm very multifandom! My current obsession is Daredevil and it led me to write on many other marvel characters (Natasha and Clint, Peter), an historical fandom of mine is Detective Conan and I might write something for it soon—if I manage.

4.) What are your top five fics by kudos?

What am I looking at, Matt? A short piece I wrote for fun right after watching 1x08 of She-Hulk; I was hyped and so was half the fandom.

A marvelous october collects the stories I wrote for last year's writober (mixed up with flufftober prompts). It's mostly Daredevil and it has a few chapters I'm pretty happy with, but I branched a little with other marvel characters (Kate, Clint, Kamala, Peter, Layla).

Ideas live forever (let your voice be heard) I'm really happy this story is so high here. It's a one-shot for Barbie [spoilers ahead]. After the ending, it follows Barbara adapting to the changes brought by her new life and coming to terms with things that didn't change—namely, her lack of attraction to anyone. AroAce Barbie for the win!

Three times Daredevil isn't a lawyer plus one short and fun 3+1 fic with Matt being sassy as Daredevil and Frank deducing something about his lawyer. (Secret identity who? Matt doesn't know her)

Not my friend (who are you?) I wrote this one for the dde promptfest, it was fun! It's about Brett reaching some conclusions of his own during S3 about his favorite (?) vigilante.

5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I usually do! Don't often know how to answer so maybe it's just a 💜, but I appreciate the people who comment and I try to let them know.

6.) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

That's a tough one. I'm all for angst, but I need happy endings. (Or, well, hopeful ones.) The angstiend ending (and fic) I've ever written was my OC's reaction to her best friend's death, I'm pretty sure (it doesn't exist on Ao3).

7.) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Now that's hard for the opposite reason, lol. I'll go with The joys and concerns of teaching magic bc it's more than slice of life/fluff for the sake of it, there is some trouble/action before the happy ending.

8.) Do you get hate on fics?

I don't think that's happened recently, no. I got hate for my ship back when I started, in 2013 in the Italian fandom, and it was awful, but I'm not 15 anymore and I think I'd react in a very different way now (I'd ignore them and keep writing whatever I want).

Nope. I don't believe I'm capable of it LOL <- same prev!

I've written a couple in the past. Craziest probably was Detective Conan/Yu-gi-oh!

Yes, I have, and it was super-fun!

Heeeh. I'm a multishipper girl, and often I'm perfectly happy with my favorite ships being platonic as well as romantic, so... I don't know. One of my oldest OTPs is Shinichi/Shiho from Detective Conan, I'll go with them.

15.) What’s a WIP you’d like to finish, but doubt you ever will?

My original fantasy novel. I haven't touched it in 3 years and right now it feels pretty impossible, but I do hope to get to plot and write it properly one day.

16.) What are your writing strengths?

Introspection, I think. And conveying emotions to the reader.

Action scenes make me cry and descriptions are a work in progress ;_;

17.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Absolutely, if it makes sense for the fic! Playing with languages is fun.

This question is so mean. They're my children! Okay, I do have favorites—plural. If I reeeally have to choose, probably What's in a soul? I'm really happy with how it came out, in Italian and English both.
