I haven't drawn OiTD stuff in so long, but Nate and his millipede pal reminded me of Kasimir and how he has beetle energy. I forgot how much I enjoy drawing him.

the amount of vertical black and white striped items ive owned is in fact a shitload (yes i have a Beetlejuice cosplay suit and all). i ended up getting rid of this skirt after this fit because it was so incredibly short on me so i basically never wore it. i will, one day, make my own version but scaled to my proportions so you dont see my entire ass at the drop of a hat

Something I've really missed in Oxventure is the use of the character art, like with each new campaign, the character art seems to be being used less and less, however! I think that's gonna be turned around (a bit) for Oxventure: Wyrdwood!

Just going off the trailer and the shorts talking about the new characters, two characters have different facial expressions in those videos:

Robin

And Lug

For both characters, their poses are the same for each image they're in. The only thing that's changed is their expressions, similar to both the original oxventure and oxventure in the dark. In both of those campaigns, each character has a pose (two slightly different poses for oitd) and then a few interchangeable expressions that can be put on their face.

For example:

And Zillah

So if Robin and Lug seem to be following the main pose and interchangeable expressions trend from the first two Oxventure campaigns, it makes sense to think that Willowfine, Cressida, and Happen will be doing the same.

If Wyrdwood is doing that, it would make sense that we'd be seeing the character art more! Whether it be the occasional pop-up throughout the episode and its use in a summary at the beginning of the episode, like in oitd, or small moments in the episode being animated via dragging the character art around like they're dolls, like in (the beginning of) og Oxventure, or something totally new! Whatever it'll be, it seems like the character art is gonna be used more.

I was listening to the most recent episode of the Oxventure podcast (the finale to OitD season 2, "Magic, Ghosts, Danger & Death") and in the post-episode chat, Andy provided a sort of asterisk to the upcoming "Finale" season, I believe because of some confusion and as a response to the reaction.

Basically, "The Finale" is intended to be a wrap-up and a way for them to start a new campaign, but it doesn't mean that the Oxventurers are gone forever. He even said they intend to do like one-shots and things with the guild after the fact, but that this is the last season for them, and again, a way for them to put a bow on those adventures and start something new.

The thought process behind all this makes sense, and I understand the desire to start a new campaign. Personally I felt relieved and a little surprised to hear this on the podcast, but as I've grown very attached to the characters it was nice to hear.

SHIP BINGO LET'S GO: Ghostly Japes (OitD), Loid/Yor (SPY x FAMILY), Fuuko/Andy (Undead Unluck), and uhhhhhhh Satsouffle to really light things up.

A total crackship that somehow gained ground, didn't see that coming. What stuns me about this one is that a bone got tossed to us in the finale. NEVER forget Lilith going to sacrifice herself, and Barnaby with his very moisturized hands jumped in and got her out of harm's way, an action we hadn't seen from him before. Incredible.

Before getting into Spy x Family I had the wrong idea about Twilight/Loid and Yor, but now we've gotten to a juncture in the manga that we're really seeing something cooking. Feel some feelings, guys. Do it for Anya.

You know, the thing about these two is that you kind of take them for granted. The manga starts with them paired up, and so you don't even notice their relationship building until it's brought up into the plot. I call them criminally underrated because Undead Unluck needs more love.

The real genius of Satsouffle is how it pissed off a certain group in a certain fandom, and listen, it's a total crackship but I think Clara could bypass Malcolm's venomous exterior. In a world where Clara is left behind by the Doctor, Malcolm is kind of perfect pair of arms to fall into.
