The serialization that features the appeal of up and coming breakout actors. In this issue, we have Motojima Junsei-san, who's currently playing the role of Minase Jin, a cool honor student in the drama "Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu."

-What I learned on the set of Kamen Rider is without a doubt still relevant now-

This show depicts how two polar opposites - Minase, an honor student played by me, and Hirukawa (played by Kamimura Kenshin), The disruptive class troublemaker - grow closer as they learn about each other's sides that they don't show at school. When I read the script, it was filled with many "heart pounding" scenes that I liked in the original work, so I eagerly wanted to see this on film as soon as possible. Minase has a desire to "be a good boy" in front of his mother, but I think that's a feeling that everyone has. I also tend to act like my ideal self in front of other people, so that's something I could relate to. However, unlike Minase, who doesn't show his emotions that much, I'm cheerful, and my friends will often tell me that I'm "too loud" or "too excited" (laugh). In high school, I played guitar in the light music club, and after school, I'd go to karaoke and game centers with my friends and had a fun time every day. When I play the role of Minase, I become nostalgic when remembering the small things that I used to do, such as how I "used to wear my uniform with the first button undone back then."

This is my first lead role since Kamen Rider Gotchard last year. What I learned on the set of Kamen Rider is without a doubt still relevant now when I approach this set. Director Tasaki told me, "A car (you) will only run by pouring the gasoline of emotion into it," and of course, I was also taught about techniques such as how to not mess up my hair or dirty my costume in between takes. It's basic knowledge and awareness that can't be taught anywhere else, and it's thanks to him that it helped me grow. In this production too, I'd like to greet everyone cheerfully, energetically, and clearly, listen carefully to the Director's instructions, and work together with the entire team to create a masterpiece.

In episode 4, there's a scene where Minase honestly tells Hirukawa about his weakness for the first time, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of chemistry will occur in their relationship going forward. The story, which has been told through Minase's monologues up to this point, will be told from Hirukawa's point of view starting from episode 5, so I hope that you'll also pay attention to that.

I value the letters that I've received from all of my fans. Even at the end of Kamen Rider Gotchard's Final Stage, I spent the entire time on the bullet train home reading letters. When I receive the words, "I feel energized from Junsei-kun," it makes me really feel like my thoughts and feelings have reached you, and it also gives me the energy for my own tomorrow!
