I'm hoping to repaint the cat's nose eventually. The cat has stickers cuz I was dumb and washed her with jeans so she has some very light blue smudges on her face but I think they're covered up now

my old giant teddy has become flat and worn and dirty.

he was given the name Hugo. he was a Valentine's Day gift to myself.

i have slept better with him and endured sleepless nights with him. i have laughed and cried into his chest. i have hugged him gently and tightly.

i do not have the heart to give up on him yet, so he will be given a new vessel. it was the last remaining one that was identical. he was waiting for me, ready.

he will go by the same name and receive the same treatment, but his body is new. he is softer, rounder, brighter.

his old vessel has died, and he is reborn. a phoenix risen from the ashes of its former self. a butterfly emerged from its cocoon.

a hole is in the neck of the old vessel. it is symbolic of his rebirth. he is a snake that has freshly shed its skin.

i allow myself to mourn the loss of the old vessel. the soul will be transferred to his new body. his old vessel will be thrown away, for he can no longer go to anyone else. he is too worn.

the vessel will die, but the love, the soul, shall remain. Hugo will continue to live in his new body. he will continue to receive love from me, and he will remain.

he was aware of his fate. his new vessel is adorned with curly fur, resembling rose petals, and a red ribbon similar to the old one, decorated with embroidered roses. he is happy. he has bloomed.

This is Gracie Bear, my childhood teddy. I can't tell you why I latched on to a Charmin promotional bear when I was a baby, but I did.

I stopped regularly cuddling him only a couple of years ago because he's just so small that he kept falling off of the bed, and my dog would grab him. He's still on my bed all of these years later, just in a safer place being supported by Pink, my pink, handmade, and threadbare baby blanket. They don't get separated, and they never leave my bed.

I just found my old mew plush I use to take him everywhereeeee his tail even came untwisted and he’s got some strings lost in the back and I cut the tag off for sensory reasons i still love him <3
