I wanna grab Avid like a freddy fazbear plush and shake him around because why
Why does he turn on a dime to his friends? Why does he go along with morally questionable plans so easily? Why is he like this??? And yea, the whole soul deal with Olm answers it: ‘do as I say and you’ll be kinda free’ and that’s like. Part of the motive. But emotionally-
When he knocks out his friends to tube them, there’s no hesitation. He’s deceptive and quick and cackling. He’s singing an uplifting song, luring in his target like the pied piper and finishing the melody on a bang. The ending of Trog’s ep 3 implies there was also no warning before getting submerged. He’ll offhandedly throw jokes about cloning friends, shrug off the moral implications, mutter under his breath about replacing one in the same causal inconvenience of replacing a piece of technology
He’s not only doing what he’s told, it looks like he’s detached about it
The few times he talks about it seriously, it’s like he’s in a trance. He needs to do this. He has to save all of them. He can lock away anomalies, fabricate life to fill in those empty spots, make sure there’s no loose threads, act concerned and lie through his teeth. Drastic solutions to drastic problems. Does he take delight in getting away with all this? Probably. Is he happy it’s come to this? Probably not
There’s no use dwelling or having second thoughts because these things need to happen anyway. He believes he’s doing a greater good, so… he sets aside any guilt or bad feelings (if those existed in the first place). Maybe even goes as far to convince himself there shouldn’t be remorse. Helping them (and most importantly himself) outweighs whatever they’d think of the situation. Which feeds into the detached attitude
He’s not only making sure certain things are done, he’s settling into the proper mindset to do them
In the 100 days in a mc nightmare series, the prequel to Avid’s sbk journey, there’s a part where he spent 20 days travelling across a dangerous land. It was a physically draining march towards a location that probably existed, and mentally draining to watch for things that could kill him at a moment’s notice. There wasn’t a guarantee he’d arrive, no map to guide him, no proof of its existence. And yet, he kept going. Despite the literal hell he was in, Avid held onto the tiniest spark of hope that he’d make it home after this quest. And that kept his feet moving. He adapted to the harsh environment until he felt numb to it. Nothing stood in his way for long. “Something in me told me to keep going and so I did, through the worst of it all and then some.”
Then limbo happened. He got trapped in a pocket dimension that 1) was never meant to be his home, 2) meant to be punishment for killing a deity, and 3) incredibly isolating. I cannot imagine the heartbreak, paranoia, frustration, and the whole storm of emotions that plagued him: on day one. Cannot fathom what a millennia of that would be like. But I can guess after so long, anyone’s grip on reality would loosen. Shatter, even
But Avid didn’t break. Whatever sanity he had left was kept intact by the hope of one day, some day, any way- finding home again. It’s what he says to Olm in response to “Why don’t you just give up?”
When Avid has his mind on a goal, he becomes an unstoppable force. He’s always been one
He’s resolute, and right now: he wants to go home
“And I’ll find my way / no matter what it takes / in the void”
(there’s also a monkey plushie that got catapulted into the walls)

Stuck in Limbo, or "You don't really leave super hell."
okay. let's go over what happened last night in the Skyblock Kingdoms Community Discord.
that sounds ominous. it's not anything bad! what happened is that in the lead-up to releasing his new song, Limbo, Avid decided to drop some story info that he's already been hinting at. a few things have been confirmed and a few things have been debunked.
i consider my job to be "lore archivist", and seeing as this all happened on discord i want to make sure anybody not in the discord is able to at least get the gist of it. SO: what exactly did Avid confirm and debunk?
let's start with this: Avid isn't getting out of Limbo.
okay, no, sorry, that's clickbait, that's not actually what we're starting with because i'm scrolling back in the lore-discussion channel and we get a different reveal first. so let's talk about the Nameless King of Incendium real fast first.
ive been speculating for a bit that the Nameless King is Avid's boss, and that he's responsible for Avid getting fished up out of Limbo. Avid has alluded to it before, but we now have confirmation on who the Nameless King is: they're Olm, the main antagonist of his adventure map Avid Adventures.
Tumblr media
so... what is Olm doing here?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh. that'd do it. (side note: Xaleem is another antagonist in Avid Adventures that's stuck in a dimension called Otherside. they're beefing.)
this means that Olm was using Avid to get rid of the Dark Lord / Demon of Darkness, and then presumably dunked Avid into Limbo for fun-- they have a history of tormenting Avids.
Avid also confirmed that Olm isn't the other person in the song that's helping Avid escape Limbo (...okay, yeah, i'm getting why the "cc!name" thing caught on) and that it's someone else, and followed that up with...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
again, context: Trog bungee jumped down into the Void as part of a ritual, but while down there they spotted a shadowy figure calling out for help and sobbing. before they could reach out to it and try to help, they were hit by the research station's beam and dragged back up out of the Void.
so where is Limbo?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
there's a risk every time you fall into the Void that you could fall all the way and end up in Limbo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and now we get to the bombshell that sparked this post:
Tumblr media
the chat, uh, exploded. Avid didn't say anything else on this topic besides "More to come", but the song dropped not long after and has added fuel to several fires. WE HAVE ENTERED A NEW ERA OF WILD MASS GUESSING.
im going to avoid putting my own theories in here, because this is supposed to be informative instead of another "Leo loses their mind" moment. but i will pull up another quote, from back at the start of the discord being open:
Tumblr media
wait no actually not that one but im keeping that in here anyways because "STUCK, HUH? I SEE." anyway:
Tumblr media
You don't really leave super hell.

A Quick Biological Primer on Subterraneum Citizens
(From the archives again, this time more a lorefile than a story. But I would prefer to rescue this one quickly for the sake of clarity in the future. I will be linking back here often.)
So, if you've been following me for any length of time, been keeping up with certain writing prompt accounts, or generally just stumbled onto the things I've been writing that have the Subterraneum_(Yutzen), you may have a variety of questions. Mostly ones like "the fuck's an Ifchi".
In the interest of giving folks and also myself a reference for the more appearance-based or species-related questions, and keeping track of general biology and capacities, here's a quick (by my standards) primer on each of the Subterraneum's major sentient species. Arranged in no particular order, with names (formal and very informal), basic measures and some elaboration on their looks, anatomy and more esoteric capacities, if any are involved. I will get to elaboration on their nations' actual setups on some other primer in the future, hopefully.
Included is also a quick, but probably necessary introduction on the "magic system" (for lack of better terms) in the Subterraneum, intentionally vague as it may be. The stuff goes deep enough to be biologically important after all.
Anyhow, here goes, hope it helps! And I apologize if any numbers seem ridiculous, which they'll probably be. Feel free to correct me but also physics are a little weird down there.
A NOTE ON AFFINITIES AND AMBIENT ENERGIES: It’s not just creatures that enter the Subterraneum through its various Exits. Ambient energies, background fields and other phenomena have been leaking through the rock for centuries on end, and the ever-present Radiance has blended them together over time into an uneven backdrop of strange, unrelated and even contradictory essences. The residents of the caverns have been affected by these background fields, and have changed to attune to and manipulate them in turn, with varying amounts of success.
The so-called “elemental” energies tend to manifest strongly and directly, by infused terrains and by the various species alike; whether this is part of how the elements work or an interaction (if not direct “preference”) from the Radiance it’s mixed with is unknown. Nevertheless, each of the usual species can often manifest such energies in their own unique ways, and individuals often show shockingly different affinities, even within the same species. Affinities with the Radiance itself vary similarly, though not one species can be said to be untouched by it.
It bears mentioning that the Radiance often interferes with other energies even in the midst of manipulation, adding a dose of unpredictability to the results. Those that can harness this, and tap into the Radiance’s unique metaphysical properties, can reach what is known as one of the ill-understood Sparks: Manipulation of a given element or property that actively, though selectively, breaches specific rules that usually govern it, reaching into metaphysical and sometimes even semantic territory.
Ifchi/Olms
(Singular and Plural are both Ifchi)
Average height: ~1.65 m, with length (including tail) closer to 2.2 m
Average weight: ~75 Kg (including tail)
Description: In truth they’re hardly olms, as most of their traits are closer to axolotls, down to the color variations; it varies on a spectrum, as stories tell of them being two species once that merged together post-arrival with Radiance-granted ease, leaving axolotl traits as dominant - though olm traits have been known to assert themselves in old age. Bipedal, slimy and damp at all times when healthy. They have four-fingered, nail-less hands with little strength, wiry limbs made more for quick movements than strength, and large, paddle-like tails that drag across the ground and let them swim faster than they can run. They have the expected branching frills, growing with age until they sag and droop during older ages; in especially ancient individuals they can even touch the floor. These frills can be a whole spectrum of colors themselves, too, solid but highly variable. The color tends to indicate affinity to ambient fields and energie, for these frills can sense, connect to and work as a focus when manipulating the ambient energies in a given area, Radiant or otherwise. As a result, “spellcasters” are widespread among the species, and their their manipulation of ambient fields oft takes highly recognizable, obvious forms, usually one-off high energy movements that do plenty, but don’t last long.
Ferigozi/Shard Moles
(Singular and plural are both Ferigozi)
Average Height: ~1.4 m
Average Weight: ~70 Kg, mostly (but not entirely) muscle
Description: Stout and bulky creatures on short hindlegs, with powerful forearms and hands bearing oversized claws that can crack solid stone. They have beady eyes and elongated, sensitive snouts that in some strains have extra-sensitive “whiskers” like star-nosed moles do, while others have more proper whiskers running along their snouts. Their eye-sight is lacking even by Subterraneum standards, but they have excellent senses for vibrations in the area, even minor shifts in the breeze. Early in their lifetimes they are almost entirely mole-like, with short, dense and very smooth fur in shades of brown and black; as they age, however, they start developing interlocking chitinous plates like pangolins do, reaching full tesselating coverage around middle-age. Their underbellies always remain furred, however, sometimes necessitating protection. Affinities with ambient energies are limited, and concentrated almost entirely in hands and claws, moving limited amounts of energy with very high precision. Given time and skill, however, Ferigozi can learn to infuse any and all materials with higher concentrations of a chosen ambient energy, with great control over the way they manifest into the material in question; such concentrations can take decades to dilute with a reasonably skilled practitioner.
Bannerbound/Hobgremlins
(Bannerbound works for both singular and plural)
Average height: ~1.7 m, though Bannerbound fluctuations are an exercise on why averages are more useless than you'd think
Average weight: ~70 Kg, with the same warning as above
Description: It’s theorized they started as an abundance of species rather than just one, and that the Subterraneum’s effects merged them into one; with the sheer variance in their forms, this is both likely and near-impossible to actually prove. They are the single most Radiance-susceptible species in the Subterraneum, displaying the changes of excess exposure even during early stages in their lives and going from there even when hardly exposed further. The basic and initial framework would be called humanoid, if the Subterraneum knew humans, ones with glowing eyes all over the spectrum and whose “skin” tends towards single, solid hues; beyond that everything from skin colors and hair to internal anatomy can vary depending on the individual and their affinities. Even things as basic as number and nature of limbs can vary in especially attuned Bannerbound. Their cultural imperative to hide their bodies under multiple layers of garments and secretiveness about their bodies does not help either. This extends into their interaction with ambient energies as well: They are attuned enough to the Radiance that they can infuse specific actions and even creations with the capacity to stretch, and even breach, specific principles and laws. They also have easier access to the Sparks than most other species in the Subterraneum, though their affinities with non-Radiance energies tend to be lower than usual.
Korves/Deep-Crows
(Singular Korve)
Average height: ~2.2 m
Average wingspan: ~4.7 m
Average weight: ~55 Kg
Description: Unquestionable corvids, barely straightened from a theropod stance. Tall, black-feathered and with tough beaks (and necks) that can crack flarewood with a peck. Their eyes are solid in color, often red or yellow, but highly variable in number; anywhere from one to six have been observed, often arranged asymmetrically. By themselves, Korves lack fingers on their wings, with the closest being the dexterous talons they stand on; unusually for the Subterraneum, such growths never came to pass, leaving the limbs only useful for flight and stunning blows. In theory, and in times past, they’ve made do with their legs for tasks requiring fine motor skills, but the species-wide symbiosis with otherwise infectious fungal species in the Valley have given them options: Korves are especially compatible with mycotic infiltration and growths, resisting most harmful effects and taking particular control of the species’ unique structures to the point of commanding its growth and movement. Often inoculated as hatchlings, even the most average Korve can grow finger-like protrusions at the end of their wings that can manipulate objects with a slow, but certain and powerful grip. Other such manipulations have been observed, from carved and immobile growths to whipping tendrils and all in-between, and in rare cases even modification of the symbiote with ambient energies. All this is available to a skilled and willful Korve – so long as their ravenous combined appetite remains sated at all times.
Chelies/Swallows
(Singular Cheli)
Average height: ~1.2 m
Average wingspan: ~2.5 m
Average weight: ~30 Kg
Description: While clearly avians, Chelies are more anthropomorphic (and smaller in all aspects) than the Korves, standing more directly upright. Their wings are thin and thickly-feathered, with flat, claw-like growths on the inside of the wingtip that can grasp like hands would and still fold back into the wing to keep its shape aerodynamic. In addition, they have a similarly bony, though much thicker spur closer to the base of each wing, naturally sharp and often given further edge by the Chelies themselves. Between that, their raptor-like talons and beaks that have lengthened and sharpened with generations, their resemblance to actual swallows nowadays is dubious – though they still retain their red and blue plumage, even thicker and more intensely colorful than ever before. Their need for flight has given them strong, though wiry musculature that grants them speed and agility alike, showing less maneuverability but greater speed than Vezarym in the air. Unlike the Vez – and most Subterraneum species at that – Chelies have excellent eyesight, both close up and at a distance, able to pick out details and movement even in the most spore-choked of caverns. When it comes to ambient energies, they seem entirely unable to affect inorganic materials, or themselves for that matter: Every effect they can induce through their claws and spurs is a “slow burn” applied to other living beings. This is most often applied in their well-known fungal gardens, manipulating otherwise mundane species into something else entirely.
Troxi/Quillskinks
(Singular and plural are both Troxi)
Average height: 1.3 m, with length including tail closer to 2.1 m
Average weight: ~45 kg (including tail)
Description: Skinks is not necessarily the right term, they have too many hints of theropod (and maybe even kobold) in them to truly call them such, but they are reptiles nonetheless. Troxi always have long, whip-like tails that can be shed and regrown, almost always longer than the rest of their bodies, their eyes have invariably slit pupils, and their scales are always in patterns of three different colors. As a norm, their bodies and limbs are toned and slender, with small, yet rough scales. However, this is but a guideline: Variations and mutations – scarce at first, yet reliably transmissible unlike Bannerbound alterations – have made themselves present startlingly quickly, putting the species in biological flux since the establishment of the Republics proper. It’s speculated this is the same process of accelerated “evolution” that affected all previous dwellers, though all projections hint that it’s happening far faster than expected, for unknown and oft-speculated reasons. Whatever the truth may be, Troxi can be seen with different scale patterns and types, spikes along their sides, variable tongues, among many other possibilities. The newest generations even exhibit one uniform change in comparison to their forebears: The emergence of a pattern of colorful feathers along the ridge of their backs, never equal between Troxi yet always present. It’s this newest alteration to the species that’s given them their informal (and sometimes unwanted) nickname.
Shumhaq/Sandhusks
(Singular and plural remain the same)
Average height: ~0.9 m (length including tail is closer to 2.1 m)
Average weight: ~85 kg
Description: Semi-upright arthropods like the rest of their “family”, Shumhaq are closer to arachnids than insects, and closer to scorpions than spiders in that regard; they are the tallest of the Hive members, with the hardest exoskeletons as well. Their framework varies relatively little compared to other Subterraneum species: Six strong, chitinous legs their bulbous, armored abdomens stand on, a scorpion tail that stretches back complete with a sharp stinger, and an upright, armored half with an eighteen-eyed head with grinding chelicerae. Their grasping limbs are “concentric” pincers, with a large, crushing pair surrounding a smaller, more dexterous set of pincers that fit neatly within sockets at the base. Their stingers secrete toxins, with variable but powerful effects that can be affected by the infusion of ambient energies – the only manipulation of such Shumhaq appear capable of – which change how they affect biology and even inanimate materials. Much like other Hive members, they have different castes, but they vary very little in comparison, simply altering their anatomical proportions; mostly, their stingers and their claws tend to be inversely correlated in size. Shumhaq as a whole are, in fact, particularly hardened against any altering and mutating effects, whether Radiance-related or not – it is suspected their genetic sequences and general anatomy have “hardened” in response to such exposure to the point of “burning out” any capacity for further change.
Syhaq/Candlebees
(Singular and plural remain the same)
Average height: ~0.7 m (length is closer to 1.8 m)
Average wingspan: ~2 m
Average weight: ~60 Kg, though often heavier thanks to wax production
Description: Semi-upright arthropods like the rest of their “family”, Syhaq are undoubtedly bee-like in look and physiognomy; they are the shortest of the Hive members, and often the portliest. They all have iridescent wings, fuzzy, stout abdomens striped in black and white, four furred legs to bear their weight, and four-fingered hands at the end of two chitinous limbs, as well as oversized compound eyes with unusual white bioluminiscence. Their antennae are often thick and a foot long at minimum, and the main source of the beeswax Syhaq are known for: They’re used to both secrete the substance in significant amounts, sculpt it as it goes, and even infuse it with varied elemental energies that create different “recipes” with very different properties. This is far from the only place this wax comes from, however; their entire bodies are almost always covered in the stuff, clumping together if not groomed, and in certain overproductive castes they often form stiff “tendrils” (much like planthopper nymphs) that the Syhaq can sculpt to their leisure for different purposes. Another anatomical matter that depends on the caste is the presence of a stinger; not all of them have one, and in those that do its effects can vary from a simple, empty stabbing weapon to an injector of powerful paralytic toxins.
Zivhaq/Flayer Bugs
(Singular and plural remain the same)
Average height: ~1 m (length is closer to 2.7 m)
Average weight: ~45 Kg
Description: Semi-upright arthropods like the rest of their “family”, Zivhaq are the longest, slimmest and most anatomically complicated of the Hive members, most resembling a blend of centipede and praying mantis. Their elongated, wingless abdomens stand upon dozens of long, sharp legs that stop abruptly once the thorax begins – from there, four more limbs sprout, two of which end in four-fingered hands while the uppermost pair ends in sharp, scythe-like extremities that can be tucked almost completely into their bodies. Their faces have flat compound eyes, elongated, flexible chelicerae and long antennae that split apart into multiple shifting protrusions. The entirety of their frame is highly flexible, and Zivhaq have a highly developed kinesthetic sense that gives them excellent control of it. They can squirm through gaps mere inches in diameter, curl themselves up tightly and stretch their own limbs to almost twice their size. This combination is the result of unique adaptations for the sake of disguising themselves as other species: Zivhaq gain their nickname by the capacity to use discarded exoskeletons, pelts and actual skin of other creatures to impersonate them, by crawling and puppeteering such exteriors with their abundant extremities and highly flexible vocal apparatus. Such capacities have naturally pushed them to the fringes from the expected paranoia, making their societies highly secretive. This has made the deeper details of their anatomy, including any ambient energy manipulation, very difficult to publicly discern.
Nirhaq/Longbrook’s Moths
(Singular and plural remain the same)
Average height: ~0.8 m (length is closer to 1.8)
Average wingspan: ~3.5 m
Average weight: ~25 Kg
Description: Semi-upright arthropods like the rest of their “family”, Nirhaq are entirely lepidopteran, closest to moths but still bearing elements of butterflies when it comes to their wings; their anatomies are the most enigmatic of the Hive members, with little study in comparison to the others. Standing upon four fluffy legs, with elongated and thickly-furred abdomens, and six-fingered hands at the end of two fuzzy limbs at their thorax, they tend towards darker colors in both fur and chitin. They have large, compound eyes that shine in the dark with elaborate patterns, curled antennae that twitch and twist, and dexterous proboscii with tiny chelicerae at the end that can slowly snip off solid food. The most intriguing part of their anatomies is their wings: Moth-like or butterfly-like, with the occasional merge of transparencies and opacities between them, they always bear elaborate patterns that shift at the Nirhaq’s will, and have a variety of instinctual displays seemingly kept in their “genetic” memory, which can be expanded further through learning. It is here that their intrigue lies: These Hive members have instinctive access to a variety of supernatural symbology and “languages” that bypass mental filters on perception and directly “tell” the brain to perceive certain things, imposing audiovisual illusions over their forms that are partially at the Nirhaq’s control. This makes them the most secretive of the Hive members, often passing themselves as citizens of other species throughout their lives.
Vezarym/Thrumhorn Bats
(Vezarym works for both singular and plural)
Average height: ~2.4 m
Average wingspan: ~5.5 m
Average weight: ~45 Kg
Description: Tall, slender chiropterans with enormous wingspan and powerful footclaws, graceful in flight and upside-down yet always hunched by the weight of their wings when standing upright. They have arms beneath their wings, an additional pair of limbs with vestigial membranes of their own to aid in steering, and actual (if delicate) hands. Their snouts are closer to fruit bats, though unusual protrusions from their noses are very common, and their needled fangs work on meat and mushroom alike. Their eyesight is decent, but very short, aided by their bioluminescent eyes (usually but not always yellow) when it comes to perceiving what’s right in front of them, but falling off mere meters away. Vezarym have appropriately huge ears with “concentric” growths within that seemingly aid in focusing sound, aiding their pin-point echolocation alongside their powerful lungs and bony throat ridges that serve as both amplifiers and protection. Sitting between their ears are short horns shaped like a lyre, that thrum with sound both emitted and received – this is believed to aid in both echolocation and regular listening, but it’s theorized they are also fundamental in ambient energy perception and manipulation. Said manipulation is always subtle, never forceful, seemingly resonating and either amplifying or dampening a given element (or several) in the area, with stronger effects when working together: Multiple harmonizing Vezarym can completely shift a place’s elemental alignment for however long their ‘song’ lasts.
Toskars/Shard Badgers
(singular Toskar)
Average height: ~1.9 m
Average weight: ~120 Kg
Description: Heavyset creatures, taller than the Ferigozi while keeping similar (initial) musculature. Their tough and unruly fur is always vertically striped, often black and white, though there are some who can have very light cyan and/or deep, dark blue instead. They have somewhat oversized hands and feet on relatively short, though muscular limbs, with tough (though blunt) claws upon all digits. Toskars are not wholly badgers, and even in their early lives they show some seal-like traits like webbing between their fingers and a layer of insulating fat under their hides. With age, their fur grows thicker and tougher still – with time, the fur on their backs starts to harden into chitinous, sharpened quills that bristle when the Toskar feels tense or threatened. More pinniped traits start manifesting more intensely as well, with males and females alike growing further, bulking up and often growing thick, quilly mustaches; some select castes even develop small tusks where their fangs once were as they reach middle age. Their affinities with ambient energies rarely manifest more than a few inches outside of their bodies, with no clear focus organ or limb. Much like the Ferigozi, they can learn to infuse material with such energies, but such infusions rarely last beyond a few hours. However, they find the manipulation and infusion of energies within their own organic material much easier, letting skilled practitioners empower their bodies in unpredictable ways.

🍓🌸MY SPRING 2022 WATCHLIST🌸🍓
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hehe did you guys miss my list? Spring is here and more beautiful than ever! 🤩 I got the chance to enjoy the sakura trees for the first time and I've been meeting really nice new people😊 Hopefully, this season will give a ton of good things to keep the perfect vibes. So who takes part in my selection this season? 👀
Tate no Yuusha 2nd Season: Finally season 2 is here! After a great first season and a really nice ending for it, I’m excited to see what’s the next adventure for our dear Naufumi. Kinema Citrus is working again for this season, with a total of 13 episodes! First episode came out on April 6th and if you haven’t seen the first season, go ahead it’s worth it.
Kaguya-sama Love is War 3rd Season: THE EXCITEMENT FOR THIS ONE😭 I’m so happy to see our precious student council members again, I know is going to be amazing, second season when beyond expectations and hopefully this one can bring us something like that too. A-1 Pictures is still working for this series, thankfully. First episode come out today (April 9th) and please do yourself a favor if you haven’t seen this great series.
Spy x Family: New one and the ads for this one have been all over Shibuya! Wit Studio and CloverWorks are working on this one so we can expect a great animation. Here’s a quick synopsis: For the agent known as "Twilight," no order is too tall if it is for the sake of peace. Operating as Westalis' master spy, Twilight works tirelessly to prevent extremists from sparking a war with neighboring country Ostania. For his latest mission, he must investigate Ostanian politician Donovan Desmond by infiltrating his son's school: the prestigious Eden Academy. Thus, the agent faces the most difficult task of his career: get married, have a child, and play family. First episode come out today (April 9th) so let’s see what this one will bring us.
Komi-san Can't Communicate 2nd Season: Komi and Tadano are back and sooner than what I thought but I’m so happy😭 first season was so wholesome and funny, I can’t wait to see Komi progress and all the amazing characters this anime has. OLM did a freaking amazing work with first season so let’s expect the same😂 First episode aired on April 7th
Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san: Doga Kobo has some amazing series like Gekkan Shoujo and one of my favorite comedies Himouto Umaru-chan. A brief synopsis: Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be... but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! Hopefully this will be a great comedy, first episode comes on April 10th!
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai: I can already feel how cute and funny this one is going to be. The story follows Reina Aharen and Raidou Matsuboshi as their odd friendship starts to blossom when Raidou picks up Aharen's eraser for her. She misinterprets his gesture and now believes them to be best friends, showing how the simplest of things can prove to be the most complicated of challenges for them. Brought by Felix Film a studio with only a few animes, let’s hope this story to be nice.
Kakkou no Iinazuke: Still not sure why I’ll be watching this but Shin-Ai Animation is working for this one alongside SynergySP for this. Brief synopsis: 16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised...who turns out to be none other than Erika herself! I have weird feeling about this but let’s give it a chance.
Tomodachi Game: I’m exciting because this one looks so dramatic😂 Haven’t seen first episode yet (it came on April 6th) and never seen the two other animes Okuruto Noboru Studio has but let’s see! Brief synopsis: Katagiri Yuichi believes that friends are more important than money. He works hard to save up in order to go on the high school trip, However, after the class's money is all collected, it is stolen! Soon afterward, the five of them are kidnapped, and wake up in a strange room with a character from a short-lived anime. Apparently, one of them has entered them into a "friendship game" in order to take care of their massive debt. But who was it, and why did they have such a debt? Katagiri and his best friends will have to succeed in psychological games that will test or destroy their faith in one another.
Honzuki no Gekokujou 3rd Season: Ajiado longest series, Myne and Lutz are back with a third season! after two nice seasons our pair as grown a lot after starting their new journey. I’m excited to see Myne and the things she’s going to achieve! If you like nice and not so rush stories you should check this one! Startin on April 12th.
Summertime Render: OLM is also working on this, with 25 episodes we got a mystery and supernatural case ahead! After his parents died, Shinpei Ajiro lived with the Kofune sisters, Mio and Ushio, but he has since moved to live on his own in Tokyo. But after Ushio drowns while trying to save the young Shiori Kobayakawa, he returns home to mourn her departure. However, bruises around Ushio's neck bring her cause of death into question. Taking a step back, Shinpei becomes convinced there must be another explanation. Dangerous entities roam among the islanders, and a vision of deceased Ushio asks him to "save Mio" as her final request. He is certain that something is afoot—and Ushio's death is only a piece of the puzzle. I’m excited for this one, starting on April 15th!
Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de: I added this one because I needed it for my Fantasy team😂 but it looks so dumb and cute I think is going to be enjoyable Project no.9 has some decent work so let’s see. Synopsis: In the eyes of the public, Fudou Aikawa and Desumi Magahara are sworn enemies who have nothing in common. Fudou, also known as "Red Gelato," is the leader of the hero squadron "Gelato 5," whose mission is to bring about world peace. On the other hand, Desumi is the minion leader of "Gecko," a villainous organization seeking world domination. However, despite these differences, their relationship is not quite what it seems. When they are not making a show of being at each other's throats, Desumi and Fudou continue to pursue a forbidden love. Going on dates, baking sweets for one another, and meeting up as often as they can despite their hectic schedules, the two inexperienced lovebirds pave the way for their unique relationship. Though their public lives are worlds apart, Fudou and Desumi will stop at nothing to make their seemingly impossible romance work. The first episode came out on April 8th
Dance Dance Danseur: Last but not least! I hope. This one turned out as amazing as Kageki Shoujo😭 and MAPPA is working on this so I’m expecting a breathtaking animation. Starting today (April 9th) the story follows Junpei who is happily snoozing away during his sister's ballet recital when a male ballet dancer steps onto the stage. Moved by the strength and skills the dancer displays, the boy discovers his love for this art. But after a certain tragedy happens, he vows to leave his past behind and turn into the epitome of manliness! What will he do when his love for ballet reignites?!
A lot to watch, also I’ll continue with my top series as always, One Piece and Detective Conan, and Shaman King is finishing in the upcoming weeks too! With nothing else to add. May this season bring us amazing experiences!

A comprehensive history of ritualistic tax fraud among the Dunmer
The practice of ritualistic tax fraud can be observed in three major periods throughout Dunmer history. The earliest mentions of this can be traced back to the five hundreds of the First Era, although it has been theorized extensively that tax fraud has been wide-spread throughout both the Resdayn era and the Nordic occupation of Morrowind. One especially bold colleague of mine has generated quite some uproar in the scientific community by suggesting that the Dunmeri contempt of taxes might stem from before the Velothi exodus and might have been a secondary driver for said exodus, as well as the inclusion of Mephala in the Chimeri pantheon. Few sources on Chimeri religious practices remain to this day, with many having been purposefully altered or destroyed by the Tribunal Temple, so it is unlikely that we will ever know the true origins of this practice.
One of the oldest pieces of evidence we have on the prevalence of ritualistic tax fraud is an old banner that has been found in an abandoned Velothi tomb in the Stonefalls region, which had been sealed by volcanic ash from a yet undated minor eruption. The particular weaving style has been independently dated by experts to be from the height of the Resdayn era, noticeable for what we must assume are Dwemeri influences on the technique. As this was a religious piece -quite possible featured in the temple of Ebonheart and later laid to rest with a high priestess of Mephala from the inscriptions in the tomb- the extent of Dwemer influence remains restricted to the weaving style while lacking the typical bordure.
Some debate has sprung up surrounding the usage of high quality materials and excellent weavers for what amounts to a placard with the same simple rhetoric as a pamphlet for the Imperial City arena. By now, most historians agree with Vansei’s claim that the usage of tapestries in place of placards was a show of particular devotion to the Webspinner Mephala by the major temples that could easier afford such a luxury. The writing on these would have been nonetheless kept simple to reach a vast majority of worshippers, many of whom might have sought to include the most reclusive of their gods in their devotions but lacked the proper means or understanding to do so. With the acceptance of this theory, most doubts about the authenticity of the tapestry have been abated, even if a consideration of the actual text tends to throw off students to this day.
The weaving featured the words (translated from Chimeris with the help of a Telvanni linguist of some repute who wants to remain anonymous): “Tax season is coming up! Remember to commit tax fraud in Mephala’s holy name!” The restoration of the smaller weavings at the bottom of the tapestry took additional time and resources -and the Mages Guild had been seriously debating to cut funding for the project- but was worth it for the scientific uproar it caused upon translation: “If you have further questions regarding tax fraud or other acts of worship, please consult your local priest. For a small donation, the Temple [the organisation of institutionalized worship of the Three Good Daedra among the House mer] is happy to help you with your taxes!”
The important discovery here –beyond the fact that historical daedrologists had to reconsider their classification of spheres ascribed to various Daedric Princes in the faith of the early Chimer- was the role of the temple in the previously theorized upon wide-spread practice of tax fraud. It is important to note, that unlike with the modern periods in which this practice was employed, we do not know the scope of tax fraud and subsequent losses and are unlikely to ever find a satisfying number, as our estimations of the current scopes required a variety of records, none of which have survived from the Resdayn era. Nonetheless, even conservative estimates say that at least half of all dues were never paid, with between a third and two thirds of this sum ending up in the temple coffers. As we will later discuss, this would have led to only negligible efficiency losses due to the separation of tasks between the Great Houses, the Temple, and the centralized government. It is also important to note that in recent Imperial tax seasons, almost every fifth tax declaration was fraudulent, which would leave us with a problem of a similar scope. As most Dunmer scholars in this field arrive at consistently and significantly higher estimates for cases of domestic tax fraud or tax fraud among the Dunmeri diaspora, it is likely that the ritualization of tax fraud through the Temple lead to greater welfare funds than under a fully enforced taxation system.
There are only a handful of surviving sources from the time of the collapse of Resdayn and the apotheosis of the Tribunal, and unfortunately for us none of them deal with taxation. Thus, the only thing we know from this time is that during the reordering of the Temple into the new Tribunal Temple highly ritualized tax fraud fell out of practice. This can for the most part be explained by the disappearance of a centralized secular power structure and the concurrent abolishment of taxation as a whole.
While many of the Great Houses continued to employ a system similar to taxation in all but name, there are no records of the Tribunal Temple having made similar demands. Instead, a lot of the Temple’s funds were raised through the traditional Velothi ways of donations and gifts, as well as recurrent attempts at bribery. The latter was however openly discouraged and for most of the Tribunal’s rule the use of Temple resources for personal gain was harshly punished among the clergy.
It was only after the signing of the Armistice in the late Second Era that the issue of taxation arose again, with the Empire quickly demanding a cut of local taxes and introducing new taxes and tariffs of their own. Almost instantly the practice of tax fraud picked up again, although surviving correspondence from those days indicate the absence of a ritualistic component. By the beginning of the Third Era the Tribunal Temple has verifiably gotten involved in the growing tax fraud movement, although both its political leeway and the exact religious aspects differ noticeably from the Mephala worship in the Resdayn era.
Where the [Daedric] Temple had enjoyed near impunity in the First Era in its outspokenness against certain Council decisions, and had in fact been considered a branch of power alongside the Resdaynian court of Mournhold, the Tribunal Temple’s power was limited by the terms of the Armistice. And instead of serving a common goal of caring for the Dunmer people, the Temple and the tax authorities of the Temple have opposing interests in the allocation and use of the funds raised.
As the majority of the leeway enjoyed by the province of Morrowind came from its religious practices, the problem of reintegrating organized tax fraud or avoidance into Dunmeri society sparked a mostly internal theological debate on which member of the Tribunal would be the patron of these ‘charitable acts that amount to tax fraud under Imperial laws’. The astute Dunmeris scholar might have already recognized the roughly interpreted Dunmeris colloquialism here, which hints us at the decision reached in this matter.
The debate primarily raged between three groups that can be named after different currents of belief that enjoyed popularity around that time. The Daedric Traditionalists argued that since taxation and its avoidance had been ascribed to Mephala in Chimeri worship, a resurgence of this practice should see it attributed to Vivec, who had been anticipated by Mephala. The fast growing faction of Anti-Imperialists meanwhile held that it was Almalexia who acted against the Imperial occupation, while Vivec had betrayed their people through the signing of the Armistice, and this policy should thus bear her mark. The third group involved in the argument, the Venerators, proposed a more diplomatic solution where resisting the faithlessness of taxation should be included in the canons of Saint Olms the Bold or Saint Felms the Just. For a while this idea gained traction -especially with the backing of certain high-ranking Temple members who tried to avoid any outward signs of dissent among the members of the Tribunal- but it was quickly overruled by the remainder of the Indoril clergy, many of whom had become staunch supporters of the Anti-Imperialist current.
While this discourse was largely kept out of the public knowledge, texts later attributed to various Temple officials describe a clash between the groups that resulted in a hegemony of the Anti-Imperialist current on the mainland. The Temple ranks on Vvardenfell soon became too fractured with the rise of the Dissident Priests to continue the debate, but a dogmatic rift grew between the followers of the different members of the Tribunal, especially Almalexia and Vivec.
A number of placards survive from this period, two of which have been donated to the College by Dunmer refugees formerly involved with the Tribunal Temple in an attempt to keep their faith from being forgotten in the aftermath of the Red Year. Their almost polemic messages fit well within the rhetoric and political landscape of their time; the closing years of the Tribunal’s reign and the concurrent rise of even by Dunmeri standards ultra-nationalist groups. One of the placards in our collection reads: “Taxation is Blasphemy! A true Dunmer funds the charities of the Temple, not an outlander’s coffers!” The simple strokes of the letters indicate that these were produced on a larger scale and that they were of little individual value, unlike the tapestry found in the tomb in Stonefalls. The most likely explanation for this would be that the Temple did not take a stand against taxation but instead ignored its enforcement. Imperial tax collectors might still demand these signs to be taken down, but the donor indicated that the officers rarely understood Dunmeris well enough to actually realize the contents of these placards. Indeed, both this and the other bear a close stylistic resemblance to traditional Temple banners or signs, so that they would draw little attention from outsiders.
The other placard is certainly the more interesting one when considered in conjunction with the theological debate surrounding the re-introduction of ritualistic tax fraud into the Dunmeri society. Its text - “Mother Morrowind needs You [the word is written like a name to emphasize the address] to commit tax fraud! Help drive those n’wah from our land!” – demonstrates a clear victory of the Anti-Imperialist current, and portrays a dissent among the Tribunal after the signing of the Armistice that is rarely seen. Moreover, this call has been mentioned in multiple diaries of Imperial traders or bureaucrats who found it written on their walls overnight. No records exist on any investigations into whether the perpetrators were simply local youth or possibly organized criminals.  The interested reader might enjoy Ralen’s treatise on the connections between the Tribunal Temple and various criminal organizations in the late Third Era, where she conducts further analysis of various linguistic oddities and personal correspondence between members of certain infamous groups such as the Commona Tong. Her research goes beyond the scope of this book, so we will again focus on the actions of the Temple in facilitating tax fraud instead.
Regardless of the rumours and the quite evocative placards, the Temple maintained that its involvement with the Imperial tax system solely consisted of providing advice on the proper formalities to its faithful, along with a large number of other educational or welfare services. As the Dunmer had not been subject to taxes for millennia, the idea was believed to be quite foreign to them, and the Temple only intended to help the people come to terms with the concept and the particularities of Imperial bureaucracy. This policy saw a surge in donations –generally referred to among the Dunmer as “Mother’s Grace”- that had similar effects on the Temple coffers as the openly advertised tax fraud policies of the First Era, which has formally been attributed to an increased piousness in the face of outlander presence on the holy land and as gratitude for the Tribunal’s containment of the Blight.
The disproportionally large claims for tax deductions for charitable donations also amount to nearly three times the estimated revenues of the Tribunal Temple, based off of earlier research into the scope and effectiveness of Morrowind’s religious welfare structure. Some scholars estimate that these campaigns and the subsequent spread of tax fraud among the Dunmer has bereaved the Empire of up to four fifths of the taxes it should have collected from the province since the signing of the Armistice. For this reason, most Imperial scholars are quick to label the tradition of tax fraud of any kind as a religious practice ‘a dangerous superstition’. Nonetheless, various positive effects on the scope of Temple welfare programs and subsequently on Dunmeri society as a whole have been found, which require future scholars in this field to lay aside their bias if they truly want to understand the positive or adverse effects of these practices.
After the Empire withdrew from Morrowind during the Oblivion Crisis and the Red Year saw many Dunmer displaced from their home and seeking refuge abroad, any centralized taxation system in the province vanished. With the abrupt fall of the Tribunal Temple and the resurgence of the worship of the Three Good Daedra as the Reclamations a lot of the former charity work and the previous fund raising channels fell to the side. In the Fourth Era Morrowind is ruled in all but name by House Redoran, which has greatly increased its sphere of influence but rejects the concept of taxes as foreign and dishonourable. Instead, the other Great Houses are encouraged to fund the New Temple’s welfare and rebuilding programs, most likely in exchange for House Redoran’s protection.
Among the Dunmeri diaspora with their limited access to places of worship but the same burning desire to prove themselves to their new, old gods the practice of tax fraud remained wide-spread. As an especially self-serving way of honouring Mephala, whose worship fell to the background compared to that of Boethiah and Azura, the informal redistribution of funds within the community and a sometimes outright refusal to pay taxes to the Nordic local authorities became common among the larger Dunmeri groups. Certain scholars and courtiers argue that the state of the Grey Quarter in Windhelm with its infrastructural problems is a result of this disposition. While current events and sources always require extremely critical analysis, there are signs that those opinions are not entirely unfounded. After all, it is a popular joke among the denizens of the Grey Quarter that they built shrines for Azura and Boethiah, but that they modelled their home in tribute to Mephala.

5 Ways to Boost Your Car's Performance
Tumblr media
July 2022 – Owning a vehicle comes with many maintenance and repair responsibilities. However, many car owners may believe that servicing jobs on their vehicles will be expensive, complex, and may take up a lot of time. What people don't know is there are fast, simple, and low-cost solutions that can increase the functionality, efficiency, and longevity of a car, such as getting high-quality performance engine parts. Dirty Racing Products is a reputed racing car parts store offering quality products. In addition, the following changes can boost your car's safety, fuel efficiency, and performance, even if it's currently in excellent shape.
Declutter your car
Unless you are a cleaning nerd, your car's backseat, glove compartment, and trunk might have a collection of useless items. While it is vital to carry some emergency items, reducing the junk can make the car run better and put less strain on the engine. The cargo restrictions may be unexpectedly low on the basis of your vehicle's size. Consider decluttering by removing large and heavy items of no regular or urgent use to lighten the vehicle's weight. Have an emergency safety kit, an essential toolkit, or a flat tire kit, but get rid of items like empty bottles, cup holders, or golf clubs. No matter the car size, decluttering expands car space and improves mileage.
Get polyurethane bushings
Rubber bushings in older cars may not be as good at absorbing shocks as those in more recent models or can be damaged to wear and tear. Your vehicle can be smooth and comfortable to ride in if you replace the rubber bushings with polyurethane ones, such as Whiteline Polyurethane Front Swaybar Bushing Kit 22mm Subaru WRX/STI 2002-2007 / Forester / Legacy / Outback. In addition, polyurethane bushings are more durable against abrasive substances like motor chemicals and road salts. It might be advisable to bring your car to a shop to finish the update since you must burn off the old rubber bushings before replacing them. You can find many more automotive accessories at Dirty Racing Products.
Replace air filters and spark plugs
A clean air filter can get your vehicle the airflow it needs to run smoothly. Old and worn-out spark plugs force your car's engine to work overtime to perform well. Over time, a worn-out spark plug can cause damage to the vehicle, if not fixed. You can make your car run better, have an engine with good performance, and improve gas mileage by ensuring that the car parts function well and replace the old parts with new aftermarket car parts.
Routine maintenance
Skipping an oil change, tire rotation, or air filter upgrade might not look like a big deal. But these quick fixes keep your car operating at its peak. Making routine maintenance a priority will help you save expenses over the long term and improve your overall performance. Ensure routine maintenance so that you can remain on top of auto repairs, especially if your car is older or has a lot of miles on it.
Buy from reputed dealers
If you are planning to get new aftermarket parts for the car, such as OLM carbon fiber, make sure to buy them from reputed stores. It is essential that your vehicle has high-quality and durable accessories for better efficiency and performance. Purchasing your parts from a well-known dealer may cost you more upfront but they prove more cost effective and are likely to last longer.
About: Dirty Racing Products is a trusted racing car parts store with a wide selection of performance engine parts from reputable brands like Nissan, Subaru, Ford, and more. They have a dedicated and skilled team of experienced professionals known for their quality service and value.
