Viv posts a lot about her family on her insta. There's been rumors that both of her parents are lawyers but they aren't.

Viv is the second oldest out of five kids. Her father cheated on her mother and they divorced and she's still on good terms with him. There's a severe overlap with babying Stolas so either she's been conditioned to excuse cheating or the act of it is miniscule.

Viv also has ADHD.

These things are on her insta which caused people to dig. Her father is someone whose Salvadorian. He's a pretty famous person where he was from. He seems likely to give Viv the influence needed. Her mother seems likely to be the one who was not influential having done three jobs. So no. Info regarding her family is public info and is half truth. Viv posts more about her family on insta rather then her social media. Her father is the reason why she's in a position she was today.

Also apparently her mother ended up posting "My father isn't gay" unironically on her threads account. Either Viv is favoring her "father" in helluva boss over her mother and this is concerning behavior due to Viv normalizing this it's not vent if you end up allowing the abusive father to continue. It's not escapism as you are reliving trauma. Viv was conditioned and she's ruining her own show with her unresolved daddy issues the main point. Her daddy issues ruins her own show and despite disliking her I hope she can get her ADHD treated and comes to terms.

But this is all alledged and speculated. I'm not stating this as fact as the content can be found publicly as with her parents full names her father is named Jose Medreno and a search can give you info. Viv doxxed herself on Insta and that took a KF member a few seconds. Thanks KF for the info.

Empty eyes met sad ones as Dazai gazed into the girl's soul, his face close to hers, yet without the joy that often resided in the space between both of their mouths, often uttering sweet words with or without meaning, other times connected with their love.

It was a mental declaration in dazais mind that this was final instance where these eyes would meet, before he finally shed the world of a giant burden, for the very last time. A final act of assistance in his eyes, yet one of self-interest and bad intention in others. For some unknown reason, people had told him all his life to 'just be happy! ', as if that would even know work. Thin, bandaged hands, roughened with years of dangerous work, rose to cheeks, painted with tears of longing, as two pleading irises rose to meet his, with a request for him to stay, to not leave her behind all alone. Hands stained with the blood of the man right in front of her eyes grasped the bandaged ones, and quivering lips opened the mouth they sandwiched between them to let out a few words.

"Why? Why do you do this— why do you choose to almost leave me in this way?"

Maybe it was sickening to see this on someone you cared for, yet it was what Dazai had expected. After all, it's not as if cracks would magically fix themselves, no—they never would.

You has been patient with him for four whole years before the first crack.

He had made you a promise, he would never leave you. It was now broken all because of his idiotic impulses.

He couldn't even keep a promise as simple as that

Cradling your sleeping form in his arms, guilt adorned his very being like decorations on a tree. . He had let you down, and yet— you still stayed with him, passing out in his arms after crying for hours on end.

The final words you had uttered before falling victim to the clutches of slumber, seemed to haunt Dazai. No matter how simple, how mundane they seemed—they had meant everything. All your thoughts, requests and emotions, compressed into a single sentence:

The words you would utter sooner or later, would always fill the hole in his heart with cruel guilt, of his actions, of his tactics, of what he was, and how— despite everything, you still managed to love him enough to plead for him to stay.

It was all just so confusing to him, for how could someone, let alone you of all people, want him to stay? He was nothing but a burden. An extra source of annoyance and noise, as if the others weren't enough. In his eyes, he was only one thing; useless. He had no purpose, no goal, not even a will to live— the simplest thing a human has.

It was to be doubted if he was even human at all, rather, just a living corpse moving around and being a source of irritation and worry for the world.

He was gonna go to hell.

A demonic being, that's what he was. It was no wonder he used to be referred to as a demonic prodigy in his youth, and it was for that very reason he was able to match the dreaded demon Fyodor. His very soul was tainted, dirtied with his actions, his thoughts, his very existence. It all tainted him, darkened his soul (don't let the insta kids see this 😭)

In simple words, he was a curse to the world. He had killed innumerable amounts of people, hurt even more. He had tortured them, made them worry about him, induced sickening tears in their eyes, he had ruined them—fully. He was the reason his very best friend met an early end, he's the reason why you had been crying in those blood tainted arms of his, he's the reason you'll keep crying.

He just deserved to die.

Yet, with you in his arms, his hands stroking your scalp, threading the base of his fingers in your hair, which had grown longer since last month, he was unable to do anything. Quite literally, if he had moved, it was likely you would wake up. It wasn't worth risking your happiness again—well, the closest thing to happiness you had as of now. His empty brown eyes drifted down to your face, resting against him, with no evidence of worry in your expression. You looked so calm, it was impossible to strip that from you, and he didn't want to. It was better fulfilling your voiced wishes, and his silent ones. It was better to stay with you, to at least try to give you your well deserved happiness.

For the promises he had given you, and the love you gave him without any cause, it was worth staying.

So maybe—just maybe, he would live another day.

Guide to researching based on your ancestry:

If your family has African roots, you can seek Ocha/Lukumi, Palo, Arara, Cuban Vodou and other African Traditional Religions and Practices. Please approach elders within these respective practices to further your connection to them, rather than using books to create a practice for yourself. These are ancient, community based and are lifelong commitments, not just trendy powerful spells for you to get what you want.

If your family has indigenous roots, research Taino spirituality and modern practices , but also know that there were other tribes in the western and centeral parts of Cuba, with their own languages and traditions you can still learn about like the Guanahatabey. You may also consider joining a Yukayeke, but this isn’t required. Reconnecting and decolonizing is a separate and important topic that is not inherently witchcraft or folk magick-y… HOWEVER, researching and informing yourself with these practices can help you to see their influence within modern folk practices.

If your family has Asian roots, research the buddhist cults and folk practices throughout Cuba! Believe it or not, we also have people of Middle Eastern descent in Cuba who brought with them their own Hindu and Arabic Folk Traditions, which can be found throughout Cuba and the Caribbean as a whole.

If your family has Spanish roots, research some open practices like Espiritismo and Folk Catholicism! Look into the Patron Saints of Cuba, La Virgen de La Caridad del Cobre and San Lazaro. These also tie in to many of the other cultures who were forced to adopt certain elements to ensure survival of their traditions! You can also look into Brujería. Much like modern witchcraft, modern brujería has been commodified to hell and back, but there is still some great knowledge and power to be found there.

The fact of the matter is, that most of us can fit ourselves into two or more of these categories, and this crossover is where Folk Magic is often born. Its also important to note, in alot of these traditions you shouldn’t learn or share certain things at certain times, so some sources who share too much about Ocha and other ATRs should be avoided. Also, I can’t stress how important it is to talk to your family! Ask them about folklore or legends and stories! Also research history and folkore of the specific areas in Cuba your family is from. A-lot of folk magic is incorporated into stories.

i check twitter every once in awhile and i don’t have the app becus i do not feel like brainrotting myself even more 😭 but for me it’s mostly becus it has some GOOD sonamy food (art). however, whenever i’m scrolling through i have to see the shit that the sonamy channel posts and my lord are they annoying. like jesus bro can’t handle people liking any other ship becus they aren’t canon, along with being based on biases apparently (which like…yeah mf that’s kinda the point…you just like what you wanna like???) also people say therye an incel too so that’s cute! and then non sonamy shippers will think we all agree with them and that is far from the truth. they are the epitome of needless discourse and feeling the need to defend something that is so minuscule and literally fictional constantly like you’re fighting for your life. and plus many of the posts that aren’t necessarily problematic are just a stretch sometimes. they’ll be like “omg do you think sonic and amy will have a super romantic scene in the third movie?!?1!1?1!” (this is not verbatim and i’m slightly exaggerating) and as a sonamy fan i can tell you that probably won’t be the case and what is the point in the extreme speculation if she isn’t even confirmed to be in the movie yet and we have like no fucking trailer at all yet. and i’m sad to admit i used to follow them on insta (where i didn’t know how much drama they got into becus there’s no threads and such) and i slowly had to realize how ridiculous their claims were over time and eventually unfollowed. like do they sometimes post decent moments and observations about sonamy? yes. but rather than in a wholesome “omg look at my cute ship” way, it’s like “omg sega did this right here so therefore my ship is canon and it’s the best and i hope they do this next pretty please”. i’m just. so done bro 💀 like i said this is why i don’t have twitter it’s actual bootycheeks on here. it goes even further than that and random people will start arguments in the sonic fandom every day such as which way sonic’s shoes are drawn is better or sonic prime vs mickey mouse clubhouse (credit to sonicbits on insta for keeping me updated without making me open the website, you a real one ong).

Hey everybody! It's been a while, about 7 months since I've last been remotely active in this fanbase, but this past weekend I played Vol 4 with my friends and I am here to share my favorite screenshots! This session was quite unique since I had two friends with me this time!

Anyway, this volume was a lot of fun and I greatly enjoyed playing it! I like how TikTok's route had multiple activity choices and endings. It's kind of reminiscent of how much time you can accidentally waste on TikTok haha

Instagram's route being based on trying to maintain a level of perfection was interesting, as well as the Great Gatsby motifs. I laughed out loud when Waltz of the Flowers played because I'm hyperfixating on Princess Tutu rn and my friend is obsessed with Tchaikovsky so that was fun

I’ve been seeing Cara being talked about recently as a good instagram/deviantart alternative and was wondering what’s your opinion and or if you have a account- Pirate anon

Hmmmm well to be honest I’m a bit indifferent? Mainly because when things like new social media platforms pop up they don’t last very long. That’s not to say Cara is bad, that we artists shouldn’t migrate there or anything but rather I just don’t know if it’ll stay relevant within the next month or so. I think of Bluesky and Threads and how they were a hot thing for a moment, but we still choose to use Twitter and Insta anyway.

I think another reason why I’m not so gun ho right off the bat is because Cara is so artist-led/driven (which isn’t a bad thing). I believe artists should have a safe space to present their work (like DA and art station once was). But at that point, Cara is just a portfolio hosting website and not really a social media platform. The thing about sites like Twitter, Insta and hell even Tumblr that makes them such powerful tools to artists is because they are online public spaces that connects them to an audience outside of the artist realm/bubble. The general public aspect might very well be how artists are able to make a living off their art. Since Cara (at the moment) seems very much an artist only space, I wouldn’t be surprised if some people aren’t joining because it wouldn’t actually help sustain their livelihood like Insta or any other platform has done for them. I can only speak for myself but almost every job I’ve gotten was because of Insta and Twitter’s ability to reach beyond online artist focused circles. And recruiters do see that stuff and take note of it. It’s so hard to build an audience for your art (especially if it’s not fanart stuff) so starting from scratch isn’t a good selling point for some artists who spent years building what they currently have. So then they end up in a shitty situation of they can’t literally afford to leave the platform for a new one.

And if Cara were to make changes to become more like Insta let’s say, then it could diminish the entire reason why the site was created in the first place (artist-led/driven). I hope it doesn’t change cause yeah artists deserve a safe space but at its best Cara could be a site industry recruiters can use to source/hire talent like Artstation. But I don’t really think it can replace Insta (or any social media platform) as much as some people might want it to.

Sorry Pirate this was a long winded way of saying I don’t have a Cara account haha. We’ll see what happens but for right now I’m kind of just watching to see if it actually sticks around.

Am I the only one who thinks the indie scene has gotten boring? All I see are muses with the same faceclaims + the same concepts. Everyone seeks their m/f slice of life ships based on the same themes. Male muses generally get way more attention while female muses even ignore each other. When you don't insta ship and/or offer smut you are not getting replies. They follow each other for follows but not to write. Meanwhile their replies are mostly passive so that the whole plot doesn't move forward, resulting in them dropping threads rather quickly due to boredom or due to having to use their two braincells to come up with something. Overall, I think these people are lacking creativity at this point. I wish I'd see something original and cool again. But then again, whenever I see an interesting open starter in the tags, it doesn't get any replies while the same generic one-liner by a popular male face gets 4-6 replies (from female muses of course!). Sad.

thanks for taking your time and replying to my post nicely, I know I went overboard (I do feel like an idiot lmao) but I do feel it is very unfair to Sky to be "of course he did it" when there is no 100% confirmation and the show did not even make it a thing... So even if one thinks he did it, the animation is not showing and there is not much to take from it, sorry for this again. You know I used to have reddit so you can only imagine how fatigued I am from Sky hate, seriously I am someone who think enjoy any character you want I love some very troubled chars, not on winx tho haha and not Sky (nor Riven for that matter) are close to them but on "online" places you see people literally being huge hypocrites with Sky and Riven because they seriously stan and praise characters that are murders, just down right evil so I feel that they just wanna hate Sky and Riven rlly and its a little lonely when you want to talk about winx you know what I mean? When you love them, it is kinda unfair you know how Riven gets all the hate in the world when he is not even 20% of what people say he is, ughh so tiresome and Sky makes me so? confused? because a lot of it is just plain wrong things that are told about him a lot of bs and his romance with Bloom is something I find cute and all so it's all crazy and confusing to me, it is very upsetting but I am always spreading my Sky propaganda always liking and engaging with posts about them on insta etc (but i wont go to reddit its hell, not even here is that nice)

Anyway, I don't think you went overboard! I actually agree that it's unclear and not as "objective" as some make it out to be. The narrative never addresses it, so the only thing I think strongly supports the idea is a few seconds of animation. But Winx Club's animation is no stranger to blatant errors so... I'm with you. I don't subscribe to the abandonment interpretation because I just see a borderline invisible thread that leads nowhere.

I would rather die than touch Reddit with a six-foot pole. I can't even begin to imagine how stressful it was for you over there. I am so sorry. And I get it, y'know? It's hard to find people who genuinely fuck with Riven and Sky as characters. And even when you do find those people, they often hold the popular fandom interpretations of them. The only difference is they like the characters for these things instead of hating them. But when you don't agree with those interpretations, it can feel really lonely.

It can turn into a bit of a popularity contest, but be aware of internet safely, and have awareness that some people are posers, and you will be ok. (Also MySpace still exists, Twitter is available if you're a nerd)

Social media in the 20s:

We've got Insta, Snapchat, Wechat, Threads, Twitter, Tiktok, and god knows what else. Everyone is scattered across multiple platforms, or on all of them posting the same thing several times.

Each has slightly different rules, though the main thing they all offer is basically the same. Each is optimised to show you addicting content or adds, rather than any human connection.

very rarely are there actual parent-child relationships, because that happens if an established site *creates* another one (google and google+). idk if we missed any, sometimes its just vibes tho like how threads is considered created by the parent company meta and acts as an assistant to insta rather than a full site.

even tho vine was bought by twitter before it actually launched, i still think of em as employer-employee. but thats not to say the father-son dynamic is improbable since vine was released to the public already owned by twitter. anyway heres the drawing:

Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone ensnare you from the first page; their prose takes root DEEP and stays. I'll be nursing this book hangover for a while yet. Once Red and Blue are mentally (and in some ways, physically) intertwined, they bloom purple, their dueling prose uniting into a timeless, ethereal poetry. No real world could contain this story, but the pages of this book did well to contain their love. It's difficult to say more without spoiling the story's potency. No review I could write, even given a thousand threads or lives, would do it justice.

💙 I've made a mess of highlighting this one, each line lending to the next. However, I will say there are some references that left me unable to fully appreciate a well-written line (my own problem, really). I would have appreciated more information about the time war, the Agency, and the Garden, but it's not really necessary when the story's true focus is the blossoming rivals-to-lovers slow burn romance between our protagonists.

Next, some initial thoughts on the platform for those who are kinda curious what this new thing is. Not at all an expert, just some info I've gathered myself, that I'd personally have liked to know before joining:

On Threads

・It launched July 5~6, 2023. Rollout varies by country.

・Twitter's already upset about it, apparently there's a lawsuit. So I guess it considers Threads a possible threat.

・It's run by Meta, same folks as Insta and Fb.

・The accounts are directly linked to Instagram, which has its pros and cons. You need an Insta account to make a Threads account, but if you already have an Insta account, it's very easy to make a connected Threads account. However, once linked, they're linked; you can't disable your Threads account without also disabling your Insta account. You can also automatically follow all the accounts you're already following on Insta, to be activated as they make Threads accounts. You can also share Threads posts to your Insta stories.

・Currently only on mobile app, hoping the'll make it desktop accessible soon

・The current audience mostly seems to be folks who have come direct from Instagram. This means yes, a lot of official/influencer accounts, but also a lot of artists/small creators too.

Functionality

・Right now, the "feed/dashboard" is a hot mess. It's just one massive algorithmic spew, no way to curate it, no way to see just the posts by the folks you're following, not even chronological. These are things that i personally require in a social media, so yeah it sucks rn. HOWEVER, they did state that they're working on a "followers only" feed, much like the one on Instagram. If they implement a Followers Only feed like Insta, it'll at least be much better than Twitter's current "Following" feed. There has been no timeline provided on when this may launch.

・It functions much the same as Twitter, with options to create new posts, and like, retweet, quote retweet, and reply to posts made by others. (There's still a lot of floundering about the exact terminology to use, since it's not twitter so you can't "retweet" etc)

・500 Character word limit per post, which is much more than Twitter, ey!

・Up to 10 images per post, doesn't seem to cause image quality reduction either. Rather than being able to arrange the images like on Tumblr though, they're all automatically in a carousel that you can see by swiping.

・Your bio can be the exact same as what's on your insta, but currently only shows followers. In order to see who you follow, you tap "followers" and then when the menu opens, swipe to "following." Then, you can tap on the individual accounts to view their pages. This is currently the only way to ensure you see the posts from certain accounts, because there's no guarantee they'll show up on your feed, and it's a huge pain. But again, they're hopefully working on a fix for this.

My understanding is that the app rushed to launch now, since Twitter is a dumpster fire and people are fleeing. (why is it a dumpster fire? Well, Musk implemented a randomly fluctuating tweet view limitation, which is dumb af, but means it's essentially become unusable to folks who use the platform a lot)

I'm hoping that there'll be improvements to Threads and it'll become a viable Twitter alternative, but until then...yeah we'll keep an eye on it.

Experience/how many years: I've been RPing since 2011, exclusively on Tumblr. I've tried other platforms, but they just don't work for me. Best Experience? I met a really amazing RP partner on an old blog of mine. The ship we developed, the writing we did, and the friendship born from that was probably my best RP experience. We've been friends for over five years now. Pet Peeves? Not respecting the way I write my muse. Acting like you know them better than I do, projecting your headcanons onto them, assuming they'll act a certain way for your muse, etc. Additionally, I like shipping, but I like developing relationships at least a little bit. The build up is one of the most fun parts of it for me, so muses being in insta-love or jumping straight to romance can be a bit of a turn-off. Muse Preferences? As in the kind of muses I write? I've written a variety but I tend to lean towards villains/antagonists, anti-heroes, the morally gray, and muses who struggle connecting with others and expressing emotion. I also only write canon muses. Plotting or Winging It? Mix of both. Usually at least a little plotting if our characters have never met or have limited canon interaction. But from there I'm fine with winging it and just checking in as we go and plot more as needed. Long or Short Replies? It depends on the thread. Anything from a few sentences to a few paragraphs is a-ok, but I would rather not do novella (depending on how you define it.) Fluff, angst, or smut: All of the above with the right partner, but I like fluff and angst more than smut. Best Time To Write? At night when I should be sleeping. Are You Like Your Muse? Not really. We do have a few things in common but overall, Gojo and I are very different people. Our personalities for example could not be more different.

F1 opinions that will get me cancelled (wag edition) -

-Same people who criticized everything isa wore and did are now calling her queen and classy all the while making her comparisons with rebecca just so they can justify their hate .

- Whatever job rebecca had before is none of our concern especially when she or carlos aren't bothered by it , she's a model albeit not a famous one , still someone with a professional job that involves being an influencer on Instagram , she's probably the only wag on the f1 grid that can call herself a professional model .

- Carmen hate is so forced sometimes . She's got a good style even if it looks copied sometimes , it suits her . We don't know everything about these people's lives , you can criticize her choices without being an absolute dickhead , if she wants to quit her job and become an influencer and you're bothered by it , just block her. This includes all the current wags , most of them want to be influencers cause it's easy money and it suits their lifestyles , we can obviously criticize them but let's not normalize slutshaming and death threats .

- Since alexandra being "racist" was proven wrong , these insta pages have started clinging back to the privacy thing . It's clear some of them don't know the meaning of privacy so here's the google search

When rumors about Alexandra and charles began , people started flooding her comments with hate and meanest questions, she went private and started removing followers , so gossip pages decided that she's not allowed to go out with her friends or boyfriend or his family , she's not allowed to post anything or say anything which is ridiculous and shows how obsessive these "fans" can be , they'd harass and make fake accounts to spread rumors about their favs partners just because they are jealous. Atp Alexandra breathes and people will hate her cause how dare she breathe the air outside when she herself went private on Instagram , fucking annoying people.

- Also Charlotte and her sister are weird , they keep hinting about a relationship that ended a year and a half ago , just so they can be relevant in the f1 community , Charlotte's got more than half a million followers , she's more focused on red cars and her ex's pics on Instagram rather than using her own account, she's got the basics of an influencer already , she lives in monaco of all places , she could be making content going to different places in monaco , making vlogs, this will actually help her account grow but noooo . Also I see people defending charlotte while they spread hate comments about Alexandra or kika , when she was the who actually started dating her besties ex 2 weeks later .

- Now kelly I can't even begin to describe , she done so many problematic things in her life , we could make a whole thread about it and it wouldn't be enough , she's careless who left her child behind most of the times before people started calling her out , has no care for her child's privacy , talks about her "magical connections" with a literal teen while she was a full grown adult and uses her fans to hate on anyone who calls her out and this isn't even half the shit she's done . It is annoying how many times she's exposed for these things but she comes back and pretends she hasn't done anything wrong .
